Welcome to "The Silver Lining" - your perfect Smoky Mountain getaway! Just 12 scenic miles (a quick 15-20-minute drive) from downtown Gatlinburg, this cozy cabin offers the ideal balance of convenience and tranquility. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the mountains, it's the ideal setting for creating cherished holiday memories- whether you're sipping cocoa by the fire, enjoying family game nights, or simply taking in the beautiful autumn and winter views. From cozy comforts to festive mountain charm, "The Silver Lining" is where unforgettable holiday moments begin.

The Silver Lining is a 2590sq.ft. 3 bedroom 3 1/2 bath mountain home which offers fantastic view of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

The moment you enter you're greeted with a spacious open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and incredible 20ft stacked stone, wood burning fireplace for those cool nights. The living room is well furnished ensuring a comfortable stay. Walk over and step out on the deck, relax in the rockers and take in the views and the fresh mountain air.

The main floor master bedroom with a king bed has its own large private master bathroom with double vanity, walk in Shower, walk in closet, sitting room and a private deck overlooking the national park

The kitchen has everything you need including a microwave, range, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and refrigerator with icemaker. The dining area seats 6 people. For grilling outside there is a charcoal weber grill.

Also on the main floor is a half bath and laundry closet with washer and dryer.

Downstairs offers another complete large living area which is also well furnished. Relax and watch your favorite program on the large screen TV or enjoy a game of pool. For your convenience there is a kitchenette with Microwave and Coffee Maker. The second bedroom with a king bed and a full bathroom is located off the downstairs living area. The downstairs bedroom also has it own private entry from the outside that is convenient for caring luggage in and out Plus you have you own patio doors to step out on the deck to see the views.

The bedroom upstairs is nicely decorated with two twin beds, large closet and its own bathroom.

The Silver Lining is conveniently located to Gatlinburg, Cosby, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood and the Great Smoky National Park.

This will certainly be your Silver Lining vacation rental.

The house was beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. It was disappointing that the lowest level AC did not seem to work as well as it did in the rest of the house, but it still stayed cool enough so that we could stand it. The beds were comfy. Our stay for the Fourth of July was perfect. The cabin was so clean. The view was amazing!!It was the perfect space for a peaceful get away with my kids and my parents. It was also just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be so restful, but close enough to enjoy a good restaurant.

Amazing vacation home!

We had such a wonderful vacation. The Silver Lining feels a like home away from home. It is so well thought out in the layout, well furnished, beautiful local art all around you, and a kitchen with all the things you need plus more. And the veiws are incredible! Family getaway

The house was beautiful and spacious with amazing mountain views from the porch! It was such a peaceful escape away from the hustle and bustle of town. Our kids loved the pool table and the two times we ventured to the pool we had it to ourselves. And on our last morning there we were visited by a momma bear & her cub right in the backyard!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

Silver Linings was the perfect spot for a family get away. Just minutes from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but in a beautiful secluded neighborhood. The house gave all of us our own space. The teenagers loved their "man cave" with the pool table.

Pleasant stay,.. house was well equipped,… we have only one recommendation and that is that the main entrance door needs the door strike latch adjusted,… the door has approx. 1/4” gap when shut allowing the cold air to enter during the winter blast we experienced during our stay the first few days.

Ron & Linda's home was beautiful. The view from all the porches was exceptional looking out to the Smokies. The bed and bathrooms were laid out perfect. We saw a Bear on Tuesday (10/14) about 6:30pm. The weather was perfect. Lows were in the mid 50's and the highs were in the low 70's. We had blue skies the whole trip as well. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and we cooked on the gas grill twice while we were there. My wife loved the porch swing on the bottom deck and drinking coffee in the mornings on the upper deck was gorgeous. We want to thank them again for sharing their beautiful home with us and we are planning to come back next year at the same time. Also, the cleanliness of the home when we arrived was spot on. We would recommend this home to anyone who wants to spend time decompressing from the city life and spend quality time with their spouse.Rob & Sandra B.

This home is truly a gem and a wonderful place to stay! Our family of four loved waking up to views of the mountains and enjoyed the comforts provided in the home. Beautiful views from the multiple decks, spacious and everything you could possibly need. Very Clean ! The decor was amazing. Family Time Weekend

House was well suited for our stay, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils since we cooked all our food..The mountain views are exceptional. The location is a little ways from town, but manageable.

Spectacular Views Did NOT Disappoint

We stayed for Thanksgiving week and were amazed at the view! The views from the livingroom were breathtaking! We saw the most beautiful sunrises and the mountains showed off every day by having a colorful quilt of leaves on the bottom and icy frost on the tops! Needless to say, we took tons of photos right from our rocking chairs on the porches! We even saw a large bear running across the golf course! Our party included my daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters! We not only had our own bedrooms and bathrooms, we had our own floors! My daughter and son-in-law enjoyed having the downstairs to themselves and my granddaughters (ages 9 and 6) thought having the upstairs all to themselves was amazing! My husband and I loved having the main floor master suite, it was perfect! And he used the desk in the master suite sitting area every day! We all met on the main floor for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. We brought our own supplies, but there was a small starter supply of most things you needed. Having a washer and dryer meant we didn't have loads of laundry to do when we arrived home! The only draw back was the narrow winding road up the mountain, but that is the price you pay for the spectacular views. :-)

Ron and Linda Pennington from Irving, TX: Ron and I have been coming to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park for over 25 years. we fell in love with the area the first time we came and knew that someday we would love to build or buy a home in the area. About 20 years ago we found the community of Cobby Nob. The Bent Creek Golf Club and the views of the Smoky Mountains convinced us that this was where we wanted to own a home. Eight year ago we bought a log cabin and we named it Dream Come True.
In February of 2020 we found our Silver Lining in the community of Cobbly Nob. We saw a home that needed some attention (to say the least) and we fell in love with the views. Linda appropriately named it "The Silver Lining"

A Silver Lining: is a metaphor in the common English-language which means a negative occurrence may have a positive aspect to it.

We want to share our Silver Lining with you and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed getting it ready for you. We hope you will go out and explore all that the Smoky Mountains have to offer; from all the water falls and hiking trails, to the beautiful drives and picnic areas. Take your time and enjoy it as we have been for the last 30 years. Our home away from home!
