Lovely cosy house in a great location for visiting Paris. We used the regular L line train to get to all the attractions in the centre, then came back out to Garches in the evenings for a lovely peaceful setting.

Beautiful house in nice, quiet neighborhood close to Paris

We enjoyed our stay in this house, just outside Paris in a nice neighbourhood with everything you need just around the corner (boulanger, supermarket). We visited Paris from here two days in a row, parking the car at the edge of Paris and taking the metro (line 10) from there. When we had a little mishap with the car, our hosts immediately offered help. Communication with our hosts in general up to and during our stay was perfect. The beds were among the best we slept on during vacations. All in all, we had a lovely stay.

Beautiful Cottage in Pleasant Paris Suburb

Beautiful, comfortable and well apportioned cottage in a Paris suburb with easy access to everything Paris. Train/Metro to the city is literally right around the corner. Groceries, bakery, pharmacy and many restaurants within a few minutes walk from the cottage. Our host, Olivier, was very supportive and available with advice and great suggestions on our stay. A beautiful private garden comes with the property and we ended our day sitting in the beauty with a glass of wine. Paris is a short train ride away and after a busy day seeing all the sights you can come back to this oasis to relax and relive all your adventures. Will definitely stay again.

Great for Paris stays

Great location outside of Paris but close to train station and freeways. Only two downsides were 1) parking, but that's true for pretty much all of France and Germany and 2) there's no toilet upstairs where the bedrooms are. The house was nice and private and in a nice, quiet, neighborhood. It was really easy to get to everything we wanted to see in Paris by train. Owner was very quick to respond and also knows english which came in handy more than once due to my horrible french. I would definitely stay here again. By train Paris sites like the Louvre, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapel were about 45-50 min away. By car Versailles was 20ish min drive.

Perfect stay during the Olympics

We stayed here for a week as a family with our adult kids which means that our son (26) was sleeping on the sofabed in the living room. It was easy to unfold and fold and as comfortable as the beds upstairs. Since the neighbourhood is really calm, it‘s no problem to sleep with open windows at night. Olivier put us stuff for a first breakfast in the fridge, so we didn't have to go shopping in the evening after arrival and could start early in the morning to our first Olympic event. There's a Nespresso coffee machine, so don't forget to bring capsules with you even though some are already there. You will also find things like sugar, flour, oil, pepper, salt, Dishwasher tabs, toilet paper which makes it so much easier ... Thank you Olivier (our host)! He wasn't in Paris, but still could be reached by mail and answered right away. The house is standing alone in a lovely garden. There are deckchairs on the balcony of the master bedroom (double bed) and in the garden. Bathroom with sink and rain shower is upstairs, 1 toilet downstairs. If you are not good with stairs or if you're going with small kids be aware that there's a rather small metal spiral staircase that has some openings where small kids can fell through. The bedrooms are spacious, both closets have a lot of hangers, the table easily sits 6 people. The washing machine was really helpful as there were tropical temperatures in Paris. To Garches station it really is a 6 minute walk where you pass by two very good bakeries.
