Host is lovely from the greetings to the farewell. The cabin was comfortable. The grounds were well kept. It is a nice setting for a small or family group. The location is perfect midpoint to sevral attractions. We would love to return to this beautiful setting!

Thank you for staying with us! We enjoyed having you as our guest and hope you have a chance to come back and stay again!
SD was a very memorable family vacation and this cabin was wonderful! There are so many things to do in the area, but one of our most favorite days was hanging out around the cabin and relaxing by the lake. The lake is beautiful! The cabin was perfect for our family. I only wish it was closer to home for me so I could stay there more often!
Cabin was as advertised. Could use some updating but worked well for what we needed. Hosts at the grounds were very nice and the little store was convenient. The kids (and us adults) loved the little lake, seeing fish & turtles in the clear water, and skipping rocks. A great location and would be fun to stop back again someday.
The lake was so much fun for a daily activity and the Hot springs attractions were right around the corner. There was no TV which gave us a chance to connect and explore the beautiful scenery around. I highly recommend going to Cascade Falls. Our dogs came with us and they enjoyed their time as well. The wild turkeys were everywhere and made the stay unique. The place was clean and just as described. They had delicious coffee and great soap

Almost left the first night
We got in later on our first night, and were tempted to leave immediately and find somewhere else to stay. Our cabin was dirty: all of the mugs & dishes needed to be re-washed, the shower was covered in mildew & the previous occupants hair, and there was a ton of dust everywhere. The lake and meadow area were beautiful, but occasionally felt crowded and cluttered. There’s a ton of people who stay at this campsite at the same time. We found some time to play in the lake when it was quiet and the water was clear and warm. While we loved the lake, it isn’t worth having to clean up after the previous cabin occupants.

I am so sorry you did not enjoy your stay. I wish you would have brought this to our attention while you were here so we could have done something about it. We are very thorough with our cleaning practices and take great pride in what we do. Providing a clean safe environment for our guests is a big deal for us, and as you are our first complaint in many years we had been doing a great job at it, and are very sorry we did not meet your expectations. If this would have been brought to our attention I (the owner) would have gladly came over and rectified the situation immediately. It does get a little busy around here at the height of the season and we are full of guests. Again, I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay.

October Stay
Cabin was OK and I am sure on a different weekend it would have been fine. The disappointment was the fact that there was major main street and highway construction occurring between our cabin and our family gathering south of Hot Springs. Had I been aware of the road work, I would have stayed south of town.
The property is very clean, relaxing and family friendly. It was wonderful having a site that had so many options for swimming, game playing or just to sit by the lake. The hosts were very friendly and informative. We stayed in one of the cabins and would do it again if visiting this area again. Thank You!
My family and I enjoyed our time at Hidden Lake Campground. We loved that the cabin (1) had everything we needed and the owners gifted you a small coffee pouch from the local Coffee shop Minnekahta Coffee (which we went and bought a bigger bag to take home). The owners were great and helped when we had an emergency and we arrived close to 9pm. We will stay again if we visit the Black Hills again or traveling through.
Wonderful place to stay, loved the lake. Close to the mammoth site and the town was friendly. Kids were able to swim and fish and paddle boat and canoe. Would of liked a toaster in cabin otherwise everything was great. Washing and drying machines worked good.
What a great hidden gem of a cabin! It was clean, away from highways/city noise, and a great bargain. The proximity to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, parks, Mammoth Site and hot springs made this a wonderful vacation spot! It was clean and cozy and the hosts were super nice!
Cozy, comfortable, and affordable pet-friendly cabin that is close to many attractions in the Black Hills! This is a great location to enjoy nature and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Cristin was a great host and extremely helpful. She lives on site and was very accommodating!
Quiet, even with many motor homes and campers around. The lake was lovely. The cabin was sufficient for our needs. We were in cabin #1 and the security light was very close and the bedroom window "covering" did not block out the light. We still enjoyed the stay and would come again.
This cabin was so nice and clean! Everyone was really nice and it exceeded our expectations! Already planning on coming back for a stay next year! Everything you need is provided and the bed is soooo comfortable! Easy walk to the crystal clear lake where you can kyak, canoe, or fish!
I stayed in the Flock cabin with my two cats - what I really needed was just a nice place to rest after doing a lot of traveling, and this was the perfect place for me to do that - it was quiet and tranquil and the lake was lovely. My cats just slept on the bed and looked out the window the whole time, normally they are more active but I guess they thought it was a great place to rest, too. I loved grilling a steak on the gas grill on the porch! It would have been a great place to rent a kayak or canoe if you're up for something more active. A wonderful place to stay - thank you!
