About Wade and Patricia Evans
We are a product of on online dating. Patricia moved from MN to the Northern Hills in 1979. Wade was born in Spearfish, but was living in Colorado, counting days until the next time he could get back the 'The Hills'.
Wade and Patricia Evans purchased this Recreational Vehicle in 2014
Why Wade and Patricia Evans chose Hot Springs
When we found the property online, we fell in love with the house... and Wade the shop. But after we came to see it in person and walked to the cliff... well, it was just amazing. You have to see it in person to understand. Everyday, we tell our 3 dogs and 3 cats, 'we are going to the cliff' and we all take a hike together, stopping just to sit and look. Seems like every hike, we see something new, we never noticed before. So nice here, we had our wedding at the cliff edge in 2012. We have a hard time figuring out where to 'go' for a vacation... we feel we are living in our perfect vacation spot and now we have discovered that we really enjoy sharing our favorite spot and the chance to meet new friends in the process.
What makes this Recreational Vehicle unique
We want every guest to feel right at home and provide everything you could ever need. We treat our guests as family... that traveled from across the country and have what they need to relax and prepare for the best vacation possible. We know most families only get 1 or 2 vacations a year, we are very honored to be a part of that experience.

Glamping in SD
Although a bit far from most of the main attractions, this is a lovely place to stay. Great first RV stay for our family. Gorgeous views. The property owner was really great in recommending some fun activities.
Beautiful Resting Spot
We came to SD to explore that national parks. We were tired each night and this was the perfect spot to unwind. The camper was cozy and clean. The patio/hot tub was the perfect place to relax.
We stayed at the Sandpiper for three nights on our South Dakota vacation this summer. We loved it! The views from the property are beautiful, the camper was spacious and clean, had everything we needed, and the hot tub was the icing on the cake! It was the perfect way to camp and still have some of the luxuries of home. I was particularly pleased with the shower! The water pressure was great, the water was hot with no smell, and the shower was big! Wade and Patricia were very nice and helpful! They were easy to communicate with and explained everything we needed to know upon arrival. We would definitely recommend staying at this property to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in the beautiful scenery of South Dakota.
Wade and Patricia were great hosts but yet left us alone and provided privacy. Views are amazing! Highly recommend this for your next vacation!
Black Hills Family Trip
The property had amazing views and had everything needed for a family of 4 with teenagers. We didn't spend a lot of time at the property itself during the day due to doing a lot of sight seeing. The only minor drawback was the distance/time it took to get to some of the sights...some further than others. However, it was worth the trade-off give beautiful sites and staying closer to nature rather than in more touristy areas.
Wonderful place for our family to gather for a birthday party!
The whole process was incredibly easy and it was everything Wade and Patricia said it was. Any questions that we had prior to checking in and after we arrived were answered promptly and courteously. This was to be a surprise party for my sis but she was going to get there before I did. I texted Wade and Patricia and asked if they would be willing to put up some kind of birthday banner. They went over and above and added balloons, flowers and a beautiful card! The property itself was beautiful and oh so comfortable! We will definitely be back!
