About this property
At home between the seas - artist couple rents out their summer house.
A Home Among the Seas

Our carefully restored and decorated thatched-roof cottage is located on the outskirts of the charming town of Schwabstedt (a health resort), on the Treene River.
It’s a beautiful and charming starting point for your holiday—your journey, your discoveries, your adventure. We offer you a holiday at home.
After long, exhausting walks along the beach, swimming in the sea (the northern Baltic Sea or the river), exploring the marshes, and trips to the seal colonies or Halligen islands—all in the most exciting surroundings.

The thatched cottage is furnished and equipped for four people. Approximately 100 square metres across two levels await you for your exclusive use. A 500 m² fenced-in, green garden is available for you and your dog to run freely.
The spacious parking area next to the house is part of the property.

Open the front door and you’re home.

From the small entryway, the door leads directly into the living room with a glass-enclosed fireplace.
From there, you enter the sunny dining room, with the fully equipped kitchen to the right. (In the morning, you can enjoy the special Nordic light in the garden, with the sleeping figures in the distance.)
From the dining room, a door leads to the terrace and garden.
There is a separate small storage room (with an electric grill).
From the dining room, you enter the bathroom with a toilet, sink, shower, bathtub, and hair dryer. Depending on your mood, you can turn on the coloured ceiling light—the colour can be changed. (The old tiles were actually starting to come off, but our guests say, “They still belong to the house.” Today we affectionately call them “limo,” like the mud in the clay.)
From the small entryway, a slightly steep staircase leads up to the two bedrooms.
Bedroom 1: One double bed (180 x 200 cm), rocking chair, tray, adjustable lighting, artwork, and a small, separate laundry room.
Bedroom 2: Two single beds (90 x 200 cm), a desk, a chair, and bookshelves.

Due to the steep stairs leading to the bedrooms, our house is likely not suitable for children under 6 years of age or for people with mobility impairments. Due to the classic Katen frieze, the door heights are only about 180 cm. The corresponding ceiling height is only 220 cm.

Under the stairs, there are built-in closets for shoes, bags, and other small items.
The small, enclosed space in the lower left corner is reserved for management purposes; please excuse its presence.

On the ground floor, the cosy living room features a sofa and a view of the fireplace. (Firewood can be found in the woodpile behind the garage.) Make yourself comfortable on the soft sofa. A small selection of books, games, and DVDs can be found on the bookshelf. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi are available.
The heated massage chair invites you to relax. The electronic organ can be played.

Your pet—a medium-sized dog—is welcome!
(However, for hygiene reasons, your dog may not share the bedroom with you! Even our dog sleeps in the basket downstairs.)

Our folding boat (for 2 people) is available for your water walks or fishing trips. When folded, the boat caravan allows one person to easily launch the boat into the water. It’s about 600 metres to the Treene River. The best launch spot is the Treenebad (sandy beach).
Two bicycles (one women’s bike, one men’s bike) are also available.

Right at the doorstep:
A walk along the Treene or through Schwabstedt is well worth it. Whether it’s St. Jakobi Church or the old thatched-roof houses. The nearby Nightingale, the Lehmsieker Forest, and the Wild Moor also invite you to take long walks.
A delight for nature lovers. Isn’t this nature in its purest form!
Embark on a relaxing journey of discovery—we warmly welcome you!

Immer wieder sehr sehr gerne!!!

Alles was man braucht inklusive eingezäuntem Garten.

Haus liebevoll eingerichtet, alles vorhanden .

Gerne wieder

Gemütliches Haus in günstiger Lage
