About this property

large, cozy apartment under reet in the listed geesthardenhaus

The apartment is located in the old village Schwabstedts in a thatched cultural monument.

"The Geesthardenhaus is a type of longhouse, which has its origin in the Jutischen (Danish) space. The house is in all parts transversely developed: living area, transverse plank, Dreschdiele (Loh), stable and Bansenraum (storage room for hay and straw), all under one roof, are accessible from the long side.
The entrances make that visible: front door, hall gate, stable door, barn door. "
From: IG Baupflege Nordfriesland

Schwabstedt is a quiet place, away from the bustling tourism. here the vacationer finds peace, quiet, slowness, and good air ... and in clear nights a hypnotizing starry sky ... basically just what the rest and relaxation seeking person needs, in order to counterbalance the efforts of everyday life put.
All facilities of the daily need are in place, so that no long distances are needed to provide adequate care. since this season, the Edeka market in the place also open on Sundays. also the medical care is guaranteed in the place.
Those who like to eat well are served well in the restaurant of the hotel treene.
For families with small children, the opportunity to spend the day in the river swimming pool on the Treene (about 5 minutes on foot) on calm waters. shallow, harmless shore water for children is also available, as well as extensive, deep water to exercise as a swimmer riot.
it is a special experience with a canoe on, or by bike right next to the treene, to explore the river landscape. the landlord can rent a 4-seater canoe or wheels for day trips. walking or cycling can also be done through the geest and the march. in the theodor-storm-city husum it is only 15km on contemplative bike paths through the fantastic north Frisian landscape. You can also hike to the nearby wild moor, a glacial remnant of a unique marshland with special flora, through which an educational trail leads the visitors. The city monument Friedrichstadt, an old little Dutch town with some canals, is about 25 minutes by bike away.
The North Sea at Husum is about 15km (20 minutes by car) away. Visitors will find many friendly shopping opportunities around the inland port in the small port city, and cozy cafés invite to coffee and cake, or a grog ... everywhere.
on the western edge of the city, behind the outer harbor, are the green beaches of the coast, a beach at the dockkoog and the north sea dike, on the km-long tours in the good, always windy north sea air are possible.
who knows the endless expanses of the North Sea sands or the World Heritage North Frisian Wadden Sea z. b. at westerhever in absolute peace and solitude for hours of hiking, or - a little busier, tourischisch - at st. To enjoy and enjoy peter-ording, you have to drive about 45km (35min) away. st. peter-böhl has everything: a beach access, horses and dogs, as well as the person much spout, as well as a beach chair area, playground and a great restaurant-café ... st. peter-ording in small format.
a large dog beach is located on the northern edge of st. peter ording. Here, dog and human meet with more than enough spatial distance. the
spout for the four-legged is accordingly spacious and "rampant" !!

the land between the seas also offers trips to the baltic sea, or to seebüll, where emil nolde lived and worked, to flensburg, schleswig or to the provincial capital of kiel.

The approx. 120m² apartment is located directly under the huge thatched roof of the Geesthardenhaus, which was built in 1765. It is modernly furnished, has 3 1/2 rooms, a large, spacious eat-in kitchen and a large bathroom, with shower, toilet, 2 sinks and bathtub.
In total, up to 6 persons and a toddler can holiday in the spacious apartment. An additional person pays 10 € / day.
There are a master bedroom with a double bed and cot, in a children's room with two single beds, and on a sofa bed in the reading room of the living room for 2 persons, a total of 7 beds available. a single additional bed is also available. In the large living room there is a play, handicraft and painting area in which the guests can work creativ. this is provided with a child protection door, since infants up to three years should move there only under supervision ..
in the apartment there are tv with blueray player and suround system, internet connection (lan and wlan), landline telephone and stereo system (standard equipment of a modern furnished apartment). however, if guests prefer to pick up a book or a picture book, they can take what they are interested in in the well-stocked library. In addition, there is a large cd and lp collection.

the garden can of course be shared. with a mobile fence element, the garden can be divided even if the guests wanted more private sphere. In the evening you can sit by the fire bowl, which can be equipped with a handgrill, and let the silence of the night work after a barbecue.

What makes this property unique
