Family visit

This is a beautifully restored historic home in a great neighborhood. Kitchen is well stocked and gorgeous! The Christmas decorations were a wonderful addition. We highly recommend this property and hope to stay there again.

Beautiful home full of warmth

This is a beautiful home well done. Parking was a bit odd, however did not hinder our stay , we had a great time, the home was inviting and full of wonderful surprises. Loved it!

Carriage House review

This was the best VRBO experience we have had! The property was just as described. The house was clean and stocked with everything you could imagine. Check in was easy. The host was very responsive to messages and was very helpful.

Great property with a few quirks

This house is beautiful! They did a great job renovating it and had I been staying with all friends or all family I would have no complaints. However, we were staying with a mixed group for a wedding and there are a few things that made the stay a little difficult. First, I would not say there are three bedrooms. There are two private bedrooms and a large landing at the top of the stairs that has a bed in it, however, it is not a private space. This was unclear given the listing photos. To get to the upstairs bathroom you must walk through the private bedrooms. Again, none of this would have been an issue if we had been staying with people who all knew each other well. The second challenge was that the floors were really squeaky. Fine for adults but would not recommend staying here with a baby. Overall, great property and would stay again with a different group.

In town for wedding

We loved the carriage house! The pictures on the web site are exactly how the house looks. Having never rented a house before and several unknowns, the owners were very gracious in answering all my questions prior our arrival. The house is so quaint you feel at home immediately! It was nice to have a place to come home to every night and you felt "at home". The only two items we noticed were the mattresses were not the best on two of the three beds. Family members stated you rolled to the middle. And parking is tight if you have multiple vehicles. All is all it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay there again! It was sad to leave.

In town for a family wedding

The hosts have done a very thorough and tasteful renovation of this property. It was very well stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen supplies. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during a family wedding. It was a very good space for hosting a pre-wedding dinner and brunch the next morning. Thank you!

Nice homecoming!

What a pleasant stay! Along with my siblings it made a perfect place for a family reunion. The neighborhood was very quiet and the property managers were very responsive. I would highly recommend this place!

Comfy and homey

Is very cozy, the owners have put a lot of work into this home to make it a pleasurable stay. the history of this carriage home and the large white home are very interesting as well as other homes close by. Was nice to be back in Fairmont and drive around and see old memories of when we grew up in the area.

Cozy Stay in a Great Town

I stayed here for 12 nights and absolutely loved it. It was so comfortable and cozy and I felt right at home. The hosts thought of everything to make the stay amazing. Its a great house, super clean and close to everything! Look forward to visiting again!

Perfect house

We really enjoyed our stay at the Carriage house. The house was really clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. We had 4 adults and 3 kids under 13 and there was plenty of room for everyone. The basement was great for the kids. Would definitely book again

Ice fishing retreat

The house was cozy, and comfortable. There were plenty of soft and fresh bath towels along with ample toilet paper. Hosts responded immediately when I had a question. Everything was a pleasant experience. Would book again.

Great house with a cool history.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House (a genuinely refurbished old 19th century carriage house). The owners were attentive and supplied everything we needed. The house was super with a fresh remodel but retaining its historical charm.

Fantastic in many ways!

The house is very clean, organized and charming. The location is in a central, in-town, residential neighborhood very close to lakes. The owners are fully accessible and very friendly.
