About this property

Beautiful beachfront at The Villas On Great Bay

This two-bedroom, three-bath villa is situated right on Great Bay Beach in a small complex of twelve individual villas with a lovely beachfront swimming pool and breathtaking ocean views. This gated complex with on-site management is the perfect place to relax around the pool or to just lounge on your private lanai or elevated deck overlooking our beautiful beach. It is remodeled inside and out with new furniture and king beds. There are security cameras for your safety located in the common areas on the property, including the pool.

The location is ideal because it is on the opposite side of Great Bay from the bustling Philipsburg Cruise Port, so you can enjoy the wonderful views of the cruise ships' comings and goings without the crowds! There are as many as six cruise ships in port at one time, and watching them is a favorite past-time of just about everyone who stays at our complex.

There are endless activities available in St. Maarten/St. Martin and the surrounding islands if you are interested in something other than vegging out on our gorgeous beach or beachside pool and patio.

Recently remodeled: Tastefully decorated with new beds and bedding (600 thread count silky sheets!), sleeper sofa, and living room furniture. All 3 bathrooms were remodeled, with the 2 private upstairs bedroom baths each having new showers and rain shower heads with handheld shower wands. A new viewing deck is available through patio doors from the ocean side bedroom, which overlooks the beach, ocean, and cruise ship dock.

The kitchen was remodeled, including a new stove, full-sized microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, plenty of cabinet space, and tile. It is fully stocked with dinnerware, cooking supplies, spices, a blender, a coffee pot, a toaster, and bar accessories. There are even little drink umbrellas waiting just for you!

Short walk to everything: There is a local convenience store a half block away for last-minute necessities. Your favorite restaurants, shops, piers, and people watching are just a short 5-10 minute walk down the beach or boardwalk. This is one of the best locations on the island as you can have peace and quiet when you want it or walk just a few minutes to all the shopping, restaurants, and beach activity your heart would ever desire. For longer stays, house cleaners are available at an additional cost. Toilet paper and paper towels are provided, but you should bring your own bar soap and shampoo.

Thanksgiving Getaway

We loved staying at the Villas! Our family enjoyed the pool and walking to the boardwalk for dinner and shopping. Wally helped us book a catamaran excursion, which I highly recommend. This was our second time staying here and we’ll definitely be back!

The place was perfect for us!

We just go back from our week stay a Great Bay Villas. It was perfect in every way from the beautiful views, the nice kitchen, and all the amenities one would need on a vacation. Having the little private (for the villa) pool was ideal when you didn't want to be at the beach anymore. We look forward to a return trip!!

Villas on Great Bay (Villa 2) was in a great location, clean, had any amenity you could need, and was within walking distance of town, places to eat, and a grocery Market. 10/10 recommend this place. From the moment of booking, Doug has been incredibly attentive, responsive and helpful. He provides a comprehensive packet of information, recommendations to local stores, charters, amenities, generous coupons and anything else you could ever need. Paradise!!!

This was our second time at the Villas. After an amazing 2 weeks in 2013 we had no choice but to return. Jim & Gina take great care of us and always know the best restaurants and places to visit. They help everyone and do such a great job promoting the villas to passerby. The villa has everything we need. Especially a good blender for daiquiris by the pool or beach which is absolutely gorgeous and 2 steps away! We rent a car and drive wherever we feel like going. Lots of beaches to visit and things to see. The food!! Can't beat it!!! Can't wait to go back next year!!! Love the Villas on Great Bay!!!!

we had a wonderful time. everything was neat and clean the view is fantastic. the grounds are just as the pictures show. the pictures that we saw on vrbo were exactly what we got. the check in was super simple. wally met us at the gate, showed us to our apt., showed us how to work the tv/cable, turn the lights on and off and answered any questions we had. we walked to most places. is safe. the people are very friendly. spent a lot of time in the pool. is very clean. there's plenty to do and see. would recommend doug and becky;s place to anyone.

Absolute PARADISE !!!

Honestly can't begin to describe this vacation !! The location, beachfront, poolside and inside the Villa was immaculate. We have travelled on many cruises and also all-inclusive caribbean destinations and nothing compares to this. Everything you could ask for. Loved our view of the beachfront and watching the ships pull in and out of port each day, relaxing on our lanai. Walking the beach several times a day to the town is amazing - gorgeous.. Fantastic restaurants all within walking distance and mostly beachfront.. No issues with safety - everyone so friendly. Doug, the owner was amazing.. Kept in touch with us before, during and after our vacation wanting to make sure there was nothing we needed or any questions answered ! Where do you get that service ? Thank you so much Doug for sharing your home away from home with us !! can't wait to return in 2017 !! You truly do own a piece of paradise !!

My sister & I and a friend rented villa #2 at The Villas on Great Bay. I researched the VRBO site with my necessary needs as a filter & I am ELATED that I selected this Villa. There are only 13 villas. This villa faces the ocean & is a little more private than the other villas. This property has an infinity edge pool shared by all, but was hardly used when were there for our 8-day vacation. This villa is three bath, two bedroom & is the best stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in & I am a seasoned traveler. The kitchen is stocked like my kitchen at home. It has an outdoor shower before you enter the villa. The flooring is beautiful, the appliances great...there is nothing negative to say about this villa nor this property. What is a great plus is that the villas are very secure. You have gates that you can lock outside your front patio & around your entry porch. The entire property is gated and needs a combination to enter & to leave. There is an on-site manager of the property named Serge. He is sweet, so competent, so helpful, & so professional. Serge will arrange a taxi, make reservations...anything that you need. If you rent this villa, you will NOT be disappointed! The property is even more beautiful than the pictures & the location of this villa on the island is the BEST! The best shopping on the island is on Front Street & so are the Villas! Communication with both the villa owner and the property manager before our stay was prompt and informative. A great experience!

We have been going to St. Maarten for over 25 years and decided that this was the perfect location to keep coming back to. It is the perfect location as the access to the beach and town cannot be beaten. You are a short walk or drive away from grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping.

We know you will enjoy this beautiful location with great views of the ocean and a short convenient walk to shopping, beach activities, restaurants, and ice cream shops! What makes this property unique

It has a beautiful infinity edge pool five feet from the beach! There is a laundry facility accessible on-site to our guests. Wally, our manager, can source fresh lobster, caught that morning, for you and grill it for you that evening. Our villa is stocked with everything you would typically have at your home. the location is the most unique asset as the beach is beautiful and very low foot traffic so your view and usage is not impeded.
