Very large and luxurious apartment for rent in an impressive building from the early 1900s with a waxed hardwood floor, high stucco ceilings, two bedrooms, one living/dining room which can be used a third bedroom (walk-through), a comfortable all-new bathroom (with a shower and separate tub plus washing machine) as well as a kitchen big enough to sit in with all the necessary utensils to prepare a nice breakfast, lunch or even dinner. Located on Sophie-Charlotten-Strasse right off Kaiserdamm, it is within close walking distance to the Charlottenburg Palace as well as the Berlin Fair, with lake Lietzensee just around the corner where you can walk, jog or have a picnic!

Premises:
The apartment offers two bedrooms with a queen-size bed in each. The living room can be converted into another bedroom as it has a sleeping couch that folds out to a queen-size bed. There is also a table there with chairs for up to six people, a large flat-screen TV and stereo set plus a small balcony for smokers.
The kitchen has a small dining table and is equipped with everything you need to prepare a good meal (and clean up afterwards, including a dishwasher.)
The bathroom offers a bathtub, a shower, a hand wash basin and toilet.

Berlin marathon weekend trip

We traveled from the United States for the Berlin marathon. Apartment was large and accommodated our group well. Kitchen was well equipped. Neighborhood had several grocery stores. Apartment is convenient to U -bahn stations. We enjoyed our stay.

Class Trip to Berlin

First off, the staff here were very accommodating to all of our early requests. Then, upon arriving, we were met by a lovely person who gave us the lowdown, keys, and some neighborhood recommendations. The apartment was filled with light, there were more than enough linens, quite a lot of storage for clothes, the kitchen had plenty of dishes/etc, and the bathroom was quite modern and nice. We did not take advantage of the large soak-in tub, though. Also, there was plenty of privacy. As I was the teacher and had five students, we each had our own space. Great place, thank you!

Large and lots of natural light!

My family and I stayed here for the month of December while I worked in Berlin. The location worked really well for us being close to the Sophie-Charlotten U station, close to several grocery stores (including an organic grocery right across the street) and also across the main road from a park with a playground which was wonderful for my two small children. Aside from the occasional emergency vehicles going by and the neighbor kids upstairs running around early in the morning, the flat with quite peaceful and quiet. The windows are large and even in the darkest month of the year we found the space to have plenty of natural light during the day. There are two flights of stairs to reach the flat (no elevator), but we were allowed to park our stroller in the foyer which was very convenient. The ceilings are very high, but if you are tall (my husband is 6’6”, watch out for the low doorway into the bathroom!

3.5 stars apartment-lots good, a few areas to improve

Location good, close to both U and S bahn stops. Local area nice. Close to a very major road, so if you are sensitive to night noise I would avoid. Up 2 flights of stairs. Large, airy apartment, beds very comfortable. Clean and decent kitchen. No sofa, just a futon and some old armchairs - for the price I think there should be a sofa for those of us who have kids and need to stay in of an evening. Shabby and worn out dining room chairs need replaced. Apartment is good but the owner needs to spend a bit to sort out the seating issues and sort out the minor things like the spa part of bath doesn't work, ripped painting on wall, no way to control the heating. Didn't hear any noise from neighbours, lots of sirens at night due to location. If you aren't staying in of an evening so you don't care about the lack of sofa and knackered dining chairs then I would recommend it. Good communication with the management company.

Thank you for your review, Kate. Just as a reminder: The "spa part" is intentionally turned off and therefore not advertised as it is impossible to maintain without supervision. Thank you also for pointing out the "seating issues". We have tried other arrangements and came to the conclusion that this works best for most purposes. One person's "shabbiness" is another person's treasured antique.

Nice apartment

The apartment is situated very near public transport, grocery stores and a park. Situated on the second floor of an ‘old’ apartment building. There are three main rooms. Two with double beds, that are 180x200 cm and two sleeping sofa’s (1 double, 1 single). All beds are very comfortable. The apartment has some grandeur with the ceilings, paneled doors, wooden floors and large windows. Like other former guests mentioned in their reviews, some things in the apartment need an upgrade. Like the dining room chairs, the carpet and some other chairs. The curtains in the living room don’t fit very well. The painting on the wall has a hole in it. This could easily be replaced. It has been mentioned before by other guests, a while ago, but nothing has been done about that obviously. The kitchen is fine. Although the oven hasn’t got a rack to put an oven dish on. So we had to put the dish on the bottom of the oven. The bathroom is very good. Although like a lot of guests we didn’t use the bath. The shower was great though. Like others mentioned, the young children upstairs and their mother, make a lot of noise in the morning from 6.30 onwards. Lots of loud bangs and screaming. The piano workshop on the ground floor starts lessons from 8 in the morning till about 8 in the evening and can also be heard. Amazing that the piano place hasn’t got sound proof walls. All in all we enjoyed our stay though and we wouldn’t hesitate to book the apartment again.

Barbara hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Unsere Zeit in dem Appartement war toll, alles was wir brauchten war vorhanden. Es ist gross und die Lage ist super. Es sind nur ein paar Minuten zur U2 Kaiserdamm, in kurzer Zeit ist man im Zentrum. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Hallo, der außergewöhnliche Empfang, Barbara ist eine tolle Person, die Wohnung sehr groß und zufriedenstellend, die Nachbarschaft super schön. Wenn Sie jedoch am Sonntag um 6 Uhr morgens von dem kleinen Mädchen der Nachbarin im Obergeschoss geweckt werden, das schreit und ihrem Hund nachläuft, oder vom Klavier ihres Hundes um 6:30 Uhr, je nachdem, was sie sich für die Woche wünscht, sind Sie da, wo Sie sein müssen ... . Oder machen Sie es wie uns und treffen Sie Vorkehrungen, um mit der Nachbarschaft früh aufzustehen und Ihren Aufenthalt nicht zu ruinieren.

Geräumig, aber ungemütlich

Die Wohnung liegt gut, West-City und Berlin Mitte sind mit ÖV rasch erreichbar, auch fussläufig lässt sich Einiges erschließen auf netten Charlottenburger Kiezstrassen. Die Sophie Charlotten-Strasse ist relativ befahren, der Kaiserdamm achtspurig, die Autobahn gleich hintendran, dafür der Lietzenseepark ganz in der Nähe. Die Wohnung im 2. Stock bietet ausreichend Platz für mindestens vier Personen und hat schöne hohe Altbauräume, ist aber mit zusammengewürfeltem, teilweise sehr abgelebtem und hässlichem Mobiliar eingerichtet. In der Küche wellt sich der Linoleumboden, da mag man sich nicht aufhalten. Die Esstischstühle sind durchgesessen, auch dort ist Sitzen ungemütlich. Am unangenehmsten aber ist der Geruch von abgestandenem Rauch in der Wohnung, der aus der Nachbarwohnung hereinzieht, aber auch in den abgewetzten Teppichböden hängt, weil in der Wohnung offenbar auch geraucht wurde. Nichts für empfindliche Nasen. Das Bad ist einwandfrei, gute Dusche, guter Fön, grosse Badewanne (die Whirlpoolfunktion war defekt). Auch in den Betten schläft man dank guter Matratzen gut.

Check In war 15uhr uns wurde der Schlüssel aber erst gegen 20uhr überreicht. Verlangt 200€ Baukaution die er dann zum Schluss irgendwie versucht einzubehalten aus den kuriosesten Gründen.

Dem Gast wurde vor der Last-Minute-Buchung mitgeteilt, dass die Schlüsselübergabe aufgrund der Kurzfristigkeit erst am Abend stattfinden kann. Er hat dem zugestimmt. Anschließend hat er mit seinen Freunden in der Wohnung eine Kifferparty abgehalten, was zum Verlust der Kaution geführt hat.

If you are older like us to climb 45 steps should be noted in discripition. It also faces a Main Street where public vehicles go through at least 2 times an hour until after mid nite. The good things is the apartment is large, 2 king beds but are not solid . There is a valley you can get stuck in. Kitchen nice bath nice bit whirlpool does not work. Good water pressure. If we were younger it might be good but being over 70 very difficult. Close to Ubans and food places.

Berlin im Januar

Die geräumige Altbauwohnung bietet mit einer guten Verkehrsanbindung an den ÖPNV, vier Supermärkten ( zwei Bioläden) und dem kleinen Park um den Lietzensee in unmittelbarer Nähe sehr gute Voraussetzungen für einen Berlin-Urlaub. Die Kommunikation zum Aus- und Einchecken verlief außerordentlich freundlich und reibungslos. Die Hausgemeinschaft (u.a. zwei wachsame Dackel / Klavierübungen) war ausschließlich tagsüber präsent und trotz des lebhaften Verkehrs konnten wir Dank der doppelten Fenster gut schlafen.

Mitten in der Stadt

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt, alles funktionierte einwandfrei. Es war uns sehr wichtig einen zentralen Standort zu haben, sowohl für Sightseeingtouren als auch um Familie und Freunde zu besuchen. Die Lage der Wohnung war wunderbar dafür. Unser Lieblingsspaziergang führte selbstverständlich immer zum Schloss 😊

Pleasant Apartment in Charlottenburg

My wife and I had a very pleasant two-month stay in this apartment while I taught a course at the Law School of the Free University. The apartment is quite large with comfortable beds and other furniture. We were able to use one of the two large bedrooms as an office. The appliances, internet and the large flat screen TV all worked well. Charlottenburg is one of the most attractive areas of Berlin, and the immediate neighborhood has supermarkets, many shops and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. There is excellent nearby access to public transportation, including both the U-Bahn and the S-Bahn

Ausstattung und Sauberkeit

für eine Woche wurde pro Person ein Duschtusch und ein Handtuch zu Verfügung gestellt. Auf Anfrage wollte der Vermieter 10 Euro Aufpreis. Die Sauberkeit war besonders in der Küche und im Bad nicht einwandfrei. In der Küche war Geschirr in ausreichende Menge vorhanden, jedoch haben wir eine Teekanne oder ähnliches vermisst.

Schöne und geräumige Wohnung in sehr guter Lage

Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter und die Übergabe der Wohnung waren perfekt. Alle Zimmer sind großzügig und bieten ausreichend Platz für mindestens sechs Personen. Badezimmer top, Küche mit allem, was man benötigt ausgestattet. Sehr gute Lage mit U-Bahnstation und Lebensmittelgeschäften in fußläufiger Nähe.

FeWo in Charlottenburg

Wir benötigten während einer Badsanierung für vier Wochen eine Ersatzwohnung in der Nähe, die man auch für Home-Office nutzen kann. Die Wohnung ist gut geschnitten, großzügig und gut ausgestattet. Auch für Familien mit kleinen Kindern wäre alles da, was man braucht. Das WiFi funktioniert gut. U-Bahn und Supermärkte sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Einen Parkplätze findet man meistens auch schnell. Die Agentur reagiert bei Problemen schnell und kümmert sich sehr gut um alles.

Sehr empfehlenswert

Sehr komfortable und große Wohnung für min. 6 Personen geeignet. Vollständig eingerichtet, von Wäsche bis Waschmaschine. Netter Kontakt mit Vermieter und immer schnelle Reaktion. Die Wohnung liegt wenige Minuten von den nächsten U-Bahnstationen, von denen man in ca. 20 Minuten an den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten ist. Fußläufig sind in der Umgebung gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Insgesamt die richtige Entscheidung.
