So many beach choices within short walking distance from the house.
Restaurants There are two great restaurants; The Deck-on the beach Dockers-on the Marina, by Muskegon Lake. Both in 5-10 minutes walk from the house. Muskegon is known for it’s great local restaurants. A full list is available online and in the information binder at the house.
Bike and Walking Trails Miles and miles of trails for both walking and biking. A favorite is the trail along Muskegon Lake or the trail through the Beachwood Dunes and Lake Michigan Boardwalk.
USS Silversides Submarine and Naval Museum Great history and an excellent tour of both the museum and submarine (paid admission).
Ice Cream One ice cream shop on the beach and three others within biking or a short car ride.
Paddle Board Rental There are local places for bike rentals, kayak, paddle board and canoe liveries and even fishing charters or daily boat rentals.
Hoffmaster State Park and Lake Harbor Dunes One of the amazing features of Michigan is the sand dunes. Learn a little about the dunes through the visitors center at Hoffmaster State Park and actually climb and run the dunes at Lake Harbor for a unique experience.
Silver Lake Dune Buggy Rides At Silver Lake (1 hour north), ride a dune buggy for a great view of the miles of massive high dunes.
NOAA:Lake Conditions Always be aware of lake and weather conditions. Lake Michigan is a beautiful but powerful lake. Check NOAA for rip tides and never swim within 150 ft of any structure or pier. This is a well-designed, well-situated, and well-equipped vacation home, perfect for a friends weekend or trip with immediate or extended family.
The large porch off of the second floor kitchen is great for meals and to watch the sunsets.

The home was beautiful and very well stocked. The ability to walk to Lake Michigan or Lake Muskegon on windy days :) was a huge bonus with kiddos. Rose was quick to respond and have made this rental truly feel like a home away from home.

It was a pleasure to have you stay with us…we certainly appreciate having 2 lakes with such ashort walking distance.
Had a great 4th of July at this lovely house - comfortable, clean, spacious, and convenient to the beach and other activities. We especially enjoyed watching the huge ships go by on their way into and out of port from the deck.
This beautiful home is a short walk to the beach, museum and fun outdoor restaurant with live music! The owner is very responsive. We'll be back!!

We enjoyed having you stay with us! Little mishaps can happen in any household, and we would be happy to repair…but when the guest fixes it, we appreciate it so much. We do our very best to provide a well-maintained property and you treated it like it was your own. Thank-you.

The guest count is 8 maximum on the property, as agreed by you in order to finalize the booking. This is made clear in the communications 2-3 times, as a reminder. As a guest entering my home, there is a trust element that you will uphold this agreement.
Beautiful home on a quiet street. Walking distance to many local attractions. Loved Dockers and The Deck as well as the local beach and museums. House is clean and beautiful. Thanks for having us. We will be back.

Thanks Kyle, for staying with us. We are so grateful for all the things we can do within walking distance or very short drive times. Muskegon has a great history and many historical buildings and museums. An additional benefit for a beach town.

The property was fabulous! Beautiful and so well appointed. We enjoyed watching the boats in the channel, and the sheer size of the freighters blew us away.Muskegon surprised me in that it had much more to offer than I had ever imagined. I would recommend it to everyone.
This house was perfect for our family! Great location with only a short walk to the beach. We loved sitting outside on the deck watching the sunsets over the channel. We even got to see several deer that came every evening right in front of the house. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances which was perfect for our family dinners. Definitely would come back.
We loved this property so much. It’s tucked away with amazing views. Close to the marina for boating and walkable to Pete Marquette beach which is stunning. The house is clean, spacious and has all the amenities, well stocked with cooking utensils, all the towels you could need. The upper deck is amazing for relaxing anytime of day. We love it so much we will be back next year!

It was our pleasure to host you and your family. We have lived in Muskegon since 2010 and are amazed at all the city has to offer…but the beaches and sunsets are definitely the best. Looking forward to you staying with us again next year.

The property was clean as advertised and very spacious for our group of 6 adults. Easy Check-In and Check Out. Communication with Rose was fast and instructions were clear. Great location and the view from the covered porch was great with a nice breeze every day. The property is close to all the area attractions and has a nice walking path across the street that takes you up and down the canal that leads from Muskegon Lake to Lake Michigan. We would definitely stay here again if we have the chance.
The property allowed us to go to the beach—fishing and swimming. The park was hood for the kids also. We were about 20 minutes from relatives in Norton Shores and North Muskegon. Great location and the sunsets were spectacular!🌅
Rose was very communicative. The beach house was immaculate. Short walk to the beach. Highly recommend watching a live show at the deck. Only a 4 minute walk. 10/10

About the host

We built this home in 2011 as our dream beach home to be able to spend time with family and friends. We just love the uniqueness of this beach town, the many trails, lighthouses and piers, the boardwalks, the naval museum and actual world war ll submarine, the amazing and award winning white sand beaches, and fantastic local cuisine. It is just a beautiful place to live and explore. Besides the swimming with family and grandchildren and walking along the beaches, my absolute favorite time is watching the glorious sunsets...the colors and views over Lake Michigan as it sinks into the lake is a gift.
Why they chose this property
The best aspects of this property are the views of the Muskegon Channel, all of the large ships, ferries, sailboats, Muskegon State Park Dunes, the easy walking to 2 lakes (Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake), the absolutely beautiful beaches, the year round walking and views. We have a very large, covered patio that we enjoy as an outdoor room to be able to enjoy so many parts of the day...coffee, meals, reading and game time, a glass of wine and watching the most beautiful sunsets.
What makes this property unique
5 minute walk to the first beach on Lake Michigan. another 5 minute walk to the next beach on Lake Michigan. Muskegon Lake is a 10 minute walk east of the house. Three lighthouses within those same distances.
