Karen’s cabin is lovely and secluded, offering complete privacy with a nice little hike down to the water. The king bed was very comfortable, and we loved the screened-in porch for bug-free time outdoors. Warrensburg is an adorable place; make sure to check out Deli and Meat Store of the North, Oscar’s Smokehouse, and Miller’s on Main!
Went on this New Years trip with another family. Four adults and four young children. We had a blast! The house is beautiful and clean. The property has everything you need, so no need to pack toilet paper or towels. If staying in the winter, be prepared to be back at the house by sunset, as there aren’t any street lights around- perfect for a secluded little getaway!
Very private and secluded home was cleaner than any other place we've stayed. Pet friendly, our dog loved all the space to roam around. Wi-Fi was fast and never gave us issues.
Wow, Karen's ADK cabin is truly an experience! We came to check out the area, but truly didn't want or feel like we needed to leave the property. The truly spotless cabin, and Karen's super attentive, very friendly but not overbearing, customer service make this place seem too good to be true. Somehow it was, though and we can't wait to go back!
The place was wonderful for a Christmas getaway. Secluded, cozy and comfortable. Karen even had it snow for us for a white Christmas!. The cabin is even nicer than it looks in the pictures.
The stay was great. Cozy cabin with all amenities one needs for a long weekend. Our difficulty was getting down to the lake. This would not be recommended for older folks or those with a walking disability. Perhaps the website should put sone text in to indicate this.
The property manager thanks of everything to help your stay be perfect. Very clean, well kept. have a path through the woods leading to the lake path is cleared off from leaves very visible makes the chance of getting a tech very small. Have a fire pit in the back of the house which is easy to get to. it was a five star’s Vacation.
Beautiful little getaway for a winter stay. You're enough off the beaten path that it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere for a quiet getaway, but you are only 10 minutes away from restaurants and Gore. The house was very clean and comfortable, with lots of cute little decorations. The water pressure in the showers was great after a cold ski! We even saw moose tracks when we walked down the road.
A very nice cabin in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. Host was very responsive. Wifi was slow but to be expected in a remote area. Path from the house to the lake is longer than originally thought but overall an enjoyable stay.
Wonderful stay at this extremely private cabin in the woods. Plenty of room and beds inside- would be great for a big family although it was also perfect for us as a couple with our dogs. The fireplace was lovely and the king size bed comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed and was well equipped. The main bathroom has a large tub with a window next to it. Plenty of towels and comfortable linens. Entire cabin is decorated and smelled really pleasant. Host was very accommodating and quick to respond. Had a perfect stay.
The cabin is cozy. Three miles off the road and a short walk to the pond. Canoe and 2 kyaks available to use. Don't expect to work remotely here. The owner was very nice and helpful with all my questions.
I almost dont want to leave this bc i want it all to ourselves lol. But seriously its amazing if you love the adirondacks and outdoors! We had a family of 10 and 3 dogs and fit us comfortably. Spent most of the time outdoors. Highly recommend. Plus karen the owner was great!
My wife, daughter, dog and I rented the cabin for 4 nights and spent it as a home base for skiing and exploring the local area. The cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. It was completely secluded, yet had all the creature comforts of home and then some! We loved playing pool and darts in the basement and sitting by the fire at night. We also took lots of snowy hikes and walks including down to the lake. We were truly sad to leave and wish we could have spent more time there!
Perfect cabin in the deep woods! You really feel like you are the only ones there. The place was immaculate! You would never know it was a pet friendly listing. We love to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed. Big fires in the stone fireplace every night. So unbelievably cozy. The pool table only added fun to this this place.
Our dog loved exploring the woods and we loved the many XC skiing trails just a short drive away. Garnet Hill(our favirite) and Coles Woods were great.
Karen was an excellent host. Best I've had while using VRBO for the last 30 years! We will be returning.

Challenging
When we turned on the heat the entire house smelled strongly of sulfur all night. I considered driving back home. It got somewhat better the following day. I understand now why there was so much air freshener used in the house. Cell service was so challenging. No TV working due to reception.
We were challenging too with my parents being in their 80's.
The overall consensus was we wouldn't return, too many issues.
The property was beautiful. I was not going to say anything and mark it down as a life lesson. My friends encouraged me to comment.

Mosquito Week
Nice & secluded. Little misleading as to the distance to the waterfront, not exactly a short walk. Not much of a beach. Also, misleading was the room sizes, smaller than anticipated, a little crowded for 6 adults & a baby. The cleanliness was disappointing. The appliances were filthy. The refrigerator was disgusting. The stove had food stuck to it's surface by the burners. Contact lenses were left stuck to an end table in the loft. The toilets had not been cleaned. Two of the beds did not appear to have clean bedding. Everything needed dusting & cleaning. We didn't have enough data for Wi-Fi use but the host acted quickly in adding more data once notified. The host was very pleasant in texting & offering to help with any issues. It wasn't her fault that the cleanliness was so bad. I don't think she knows that her cleaning people are not doing their job. The mosquitoes were horrible. Maybe in the listing it could be stated how bad mosquitoes are in the middle of June so one would know before booking. We cleaned & ended up having a nice time. The cabin is beautiful, just wish it had been clean.
The home is beautiful. The inside was sparkling clean. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The little pond was about a 5 minute walk to get down to, it was perfect for our dogs. Karen was very responsive.
My reasons for the 3 stars was first, though the home is big when you add the loft and basement, the small kitchen is cluttered and unorganized so there's nowhere to put your own items. The cabinets are filled with random plasticware, multiple pans and things that no guest will need.
The bathrooms also have a bunch of junk in the drawers. There were plenty of towels but I really didn't know if some were rags or were for people, most were old and some had stains but they were all mixed together.
The screened in porch was in need of better cleaning. I took the vacuum that was available and sucked up a lot of spider webs and dead bugs on the window sill and floor. I know it's exposed and will collect pollen and bugs but it looked like only the main walkway area had been paid attention to. There was a thick film of pollen and black mold spots on one of the small tables I had to scrub off and the table cloth had what looked like spots of black mold in a couple spots.
Lastly, I had to knock off another star for the washing machine being broken. I found out after trying to start a load of laundry, water would fill up and then drain. Karen said sorry sometimes it doesn't work. So I had to take my wet soapy laundry to the laundromat for cleaning. No compensation was offered.
I stayed here with my family for the weekend, and it was such a lovely place. A little off the beaten path, but well worth it for the seclusion you get staying here. It rained the entire time, but we still had an amazing experience. Waking up every morning to sit on the porch with coffee, listening to the rain and birds was so peaceful. We took daily walks down to the lake, which my dogs loved. The cabin had plenty of room for all of us and included everything we needed. Stores were just a short trip away. This place is a perfect getaway from the hustle of life while still being conveniently close to necessities.Karen was great, she responded quickly and was very attentive. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
