We have stayed here several times. The location can't be beat for our interests, the apartment is on the first floor with easy stairs, it is mostly well-equipped (the cooktop is a little challenging to regulate), and reasonably quiet.

Thanks Donald for your appreciation. We are very glad to have you back and back again, because you are a perfect guest.
We work to keep with good upgrades over time and you will find excellent accommodation next time too!
Convenient to everything we wanted to see.
We also decided our spot was in the best neighborhood! Good shopping, open market, gelato, restaurants. We had an amazing dinner at Giordi, melt in your mouth lasagna. We really enjoyed our stay.
Nice neighborhood, nice clean place, older apartment, not fancy, but lovely owner and manager. Marco, property manager, was very helpful as was the owner. They were very accommodating

This location was great for walking to many of the sites you’d want to see in Rome. The only downside was the price for the quality of the place and the air conditioning did not work well in the living room, only the bedroom got comfortable for sleeping.

Thank you Alexandra for your review and appreciation.
Within next week it was already scheduled a new air conditioning to be installed and I hope that this will please your next visit!
And if you can stay more than 2 days, the price is much lower!
This is my second stay at this apartment that feels like a home. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen while not fancy is fine for preparing simple meals, there is a washing machine for laundry so all the bases are covered-as to location it is a very short walk to most of the major sites but feels small enough to let you get your bearings and feel familiar with the neighborhood- l would stay again.
Location of this property was outstanding & felt very safe. Pantheon is a fabulous spot and very close by are heaps of great eating spots and everything you need.
The property is very old but we were able to settle in. There are things that need fixing like the air-conditioning in both the bedroom and lounge was very noisy and power sockets need fixing back into the wall.
The bed was very comfortable.
Updated sheets and towels would make a huge difference as these were ok but at that stage where replacement would be great.

And thanks to have pointed out the little maintenance needed: in the meanwhile has been done! because we look after everything week by week, to assure a good standard. Sorry for the noise of the air conditioned. nobody yet pointed it out and we will take care of that for sure! Hope to see you back next time

Perfect accommodation in Rome's most charming area
This apartment was perfect for our needs. It is clean, well equipped with all the basics provided, quiet and conveniently situated for central Rome. It is on the first floor with no elevator.
The caretaker was there to give us all the information we needed.
As ever, the disposal of rubbish is an issue which the city seems to be tackling head-on. This does mean having to take rubbish to a central collection point.
An added bonus - choral music from the church of the Venerable English College across the street!

We stayed a week and the apartment had what we needed. Cannot beat the location. Close to everything! I thought having covers on the duvet would be a good idea as these could be washed we aside than entire duvet. In other VRBO properties we have stayed at, the owner had some detergent for the washer. The person who met us was very knowledgeable. There was an issue with the toilet that was supposed to be looked at but hadn’t by the time we left. It didn’t ruin out stay but getting things fixed quickly can make a difference to the guests. Thank you for having a nice place to stay!
This neighborhood in Rome is perfect for a short or long stay.. Sites, shopping, restaurants close.
This property host was great- responded to all requests and concerns quickly and efficiently. The apartment feels like home and all the amenities at your doorstep are perfect- Thx again Luc
This was a perfect location to see Rome from. We were able to walk to the Vatican, Colosseum, Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. There were so many places to eat within 5 minutes walking that often it was difficult to choose. The small kitchenette was handy to have to keep things bought at the grocery store cold in the fridge. The property’s owner was very accessible and available if we had a need. The air conditioning was great given it has been a very hot summer. Well worth it.

Amazing location, disappointing facilities
Considering the high rating of this listing and my impression that VRBO was more reliable than other sites, my boyfriend and I were disappointed by our stay here in Rome. The location was wonderful and was the highlight of the stay. Lucilla was nice but difficult to communicate with and didn’t check in once her colleague let us into the apartment to see if we were all good or had any questions. We were there during a heatwave in Rome, and the apartment didn’t have AC except for an incredibly loud AC unit in the bedroom that made it difficult to sleep. The apartment itself was quite old and not as well-maintained as it appeared in photos, and the futon bed we slept on just had a duvet cover (no duvet) on it when we arrived. There wasn’t any soap in the bathroom and unfortunately the Wi-Fi was very slow and occasionally non-functional. This all would’ve been manageable, but was made all the more frustrating because of the cost of the apartment. I had requested to change the reservation to be a day shorter over a month before our stay, and for some reason Lucilla was unable to accept the change until the week before our reservation. Because of this, I only received a 25% refund for the amount I paid. All in all, it would’ve been the same amount to be at a hotel with proper AC and nicer facilities.

Hello, Rosario! thanks for your comments: I will keep them for the future. In the meanwhile a new air conditioning appliance has been installed in the sitting room, because the heatwave has been really heavy and long and the forecast is we'll have the same in the future.
For your next trip: just ring me by your phone or by the house phone for any question. I will be happy to answer (duvet is in the wardrobe beside the bed...).
And I agree with you about money that you (even worst for me) get back by VRBO for changing your dates. It is very poor service.
The pictures are accurate. The location is A plus in Campo de Fiori area. Bit of noise from bars in the evening. Loved having the space of a real one bedroom, kitchen and living room. Assistant Marco was a great greeter and helped by text. Thank you Lucilla.
We very much enjoyed this spacious apartment for 9 nights! We were in walking distance to everything and took advantage of the great markets all around to make great meals. The fish store had the freshest salmon and seafood salads, the vegetable markets had the sweetest and juiciest tomotoes.. The stores had delicious cold cuts and cheeses to rival the best chautriere boards and the wines stores were great. Luc was very helpful, she responded quickly if you had any questions. There was even a secret door with a washing machine for small loads and a dishwasher!
Our fifth trip to Rome. Loved this location. Noise at nearby cafe late at night and especially on the weekend was our only problem, but it is a lively city! Lu

Thank you, Larry! Glad you appreciate my apartment in Rome. Hope to see you back, on your sixth trip, especially because you had been more than once in Rome....

I had a great experience in Lucilla’s adorable apartment. It is on the coolest street with tons of sweet shops and had a delicious cafe just outside the building. The apartment was cozy and met all my needs. Stepping outside into the heart of Rome every day was the best feeling.

Dara, I am so glad you enjoyed my apartment in Rome! I try hard to set a perfect stay for each guest. And of course I am very pleased when guests appreciate that!
See you on your next trip!
Bonne expérience. Très très bien placé. Cuisine comme décrite. Wifi ok. Lits confortables. Le seul bémol a été le manque de pression de l’eau. WC /lavabo … douche …
Rien de dramatique pour 2 personnes !
This apartment is in a wonderful location for walking ALL through ancient Rome and hanging at the fantastic cafes, but having a nice comfortable place to retreat to when you are tired and need a rest :-). A wonderful stay, especially for a couple...a bit tight for five :-). The host Lucilla does a great job of staying in touch when you have questions.

Thank you so much for your warm appreciation! And thank you to have point it out that apartment is perfect up to 2 (or 3) people. I wouldn't recommend to change your initial booking for 2 in booking for 5, especially being 2 different families. But I am glad everyone fitted smoothly in my apartment in Rome!
