Charmingly decorated Villa in a beautifully landscaped garden

This beautiful restored farmhouse is one with the harmony of traditional and modern architecture of Istria, fully restored and adapted to the modern lifestyle.
7 bedrooms, living room, dining room, large beautiful garden, grill, fully equipped kitchen. The house is located on an area of ​​6000 square meters, 7 km from the sea and close to Rabac, where there are some of the most beautiful beaches in Istria. It is completely surrounded by walls and thus is ideal for people with young children.
The villa consists of two buildings that are connected. There is a pool of 30 sqm with a pebble beach, with additional amenities for a comfortable stay in the sun. Both buildings have a covered outdoor area with a dining table overlooking the park.

The house has an original, old wine cellar. On request, we can organize a tasting of local wines and traditional food from Istria. Catering can also be arranged. We also offer homemade liqueurs and fresh fruit and vegetables from our own production. The house has been renovated and furnished with reference to the criteria of natural and healthy living, and the interior itself with handmade furniture emphasizes the particular design .

One of the most beautiful parts of the Villa Giovanna is the elegantly landscaped park, where guests can enjoy the beauty of Mediterranean plants, flowers and trees. Some trees are a few hundred years old, and they provide plenty of shade in the hot summer days. In the immediate vicinity of the villa there is a hiking trail that goes around the villa, ideal for short walks or jogging.
This villa is located in a small Istrian village of Sumber, which is known for its wealth of unspoilt nature and wine (Šumberski Teran).

At a distance of three kilometers from the house, in a small village St Nedeja, there are several restaurants, a shop, and agrotourisms. The town of Labin is at 7 km from the house, where a variety of events for fun and entertainment throughout the year.

Great Kitchen and a nice pool

We enjoyed our stay very much. The kitchen and the outdoor area are very good and the pool is nice to lie in. You have to deal with the animals, there are some scorpions and lots of grasshoppers but if you leave them alone they will leave you alone. Otherwise, everything was as described and we were even able to check in earlier, which we found very good. Thank you for the nice stay.

Für Großfamilienurlaube bestens!!!

Durch das beständig gute Wetter konnten wir unseren Aufenthalt immer in dem wirklich schönen Garten mit mehreren separaten Bereichen genießen und die Outdoorküche mit perfekt großem Tisch für alle Familienmitglieder als kommunikativen Treff- und Mittelpunkt nutzen. Wir waren alle sehr glücklich in dieser Woche und wären gerne noch ein paar Tage geblieben.

Wunderschönes Grundstück mit super Außenküche

Dieses Grundstück ist einfach großartig, die Außenküche, der Pool und die komplette Umzäumung ist ideal für Familien mit Kinder oder Hunde. Da es 3 extra Häuser sind, ist es sehr gut geeignet für größere Gruppen oder Familien. Es liegt sehr ruhig mitten in unberührter Natur. Einfach nur wunderschön und erholsam und nur wenige km vom Meer und schönen Stränden entfernt.

We hebben een fantastische tijd gehad in dit verblijf! Het zag er netjes uit en bij aankomst kregen we een tour van het verblijf, de buitenruimte en kregen we veel tips voor bezienswaardigheden en uitjes. Eigenlijk leefden we vooral buiten en sliepen we alleen binnen omdat we vooral gebruik maakten van de buitenkeuken met een hele lange tafel voor een grote familie! Het zwembad was een heerlijke afkoeling, zo konden we na een dagje uit lekker afkoelen in het zwembad. Super verblijf, aardige beheerders. Echt een aanrader!

Tolle Lage, leider keine Privatsphäre

Die Unterkunft war sauber vorbereitet. Ca. 1-2x die Woche haben die Vermieter eine kulinarische Veranstaltung auf dem Gelände. Die fremden Gäste bewegen sich über das ganze Gelände und danach wird bis spät in die Nacht gespült, was hinter manchem Schlafzimmer geschieht. Jeden Tag, oft den ganzen Tag über, ist die Vermieterin oder Angestellte da, um irgendwas auf dem Gelände zu machen und bleiben auch oft bis spät in die Nacht. Während der Veranstaltungen ist auch der hintere Teil des Geländes für die fremden Gäste reserviert. Für uns war es komisch, dass plötzlich fremde Leute bei uns am Pool standen und bis spät in den Abend über unser Gelände liefen. Wir hätten uns mehr Privatsphäre gewünscht, wenn man schon als Gruppe ein großes Anwesen nur für sich mietet. Die Ausstattung der Outdoor Küche ist sehr mager. Gerade so das Nötigste im geringer Stückzahl ist zu finden. Ein Backofen fehlt. Auch gibt es keinerlei Schränke, um Lebensmittel in der Küche zu lagern. Die Küchen der 3 Apartments haben gar kein Geschirr. Nicht alle Räume, welche auf den Bildern zu sehen sind, standen uns zur Verfügung. Der Innenraum mit den vielen Tischen gehört zu dem ‚Restaurant‘ Betrieb. D.h. Wir hatten als Aufenthaltsraum als Gruppe nur die Outdoorküche. Als es 3 Tage regnerisch war, hätten wir gerne einen Aufenthaltsraum im Inneren gehabt und hatten auch bei der Buchung ja diesen auf den Bildern gesehen. Die Sonnenschirme vom Pool hätten 80€ extra gekostet. Wir empfanden dies als zu viel.

Die Unterkunft war in Ordnung. Aber am ersten Tag war der Pool grün und erst nach 2 Tagen nutzbar. Des Weiteren war eine Art Waschhaus auf dem Gelände, so dass jeden Tag Leute da waren um zu waschen. Duschen waren nicht da. In Summe war es okay, aber kein Highlight.

Super Urlaub mit Freunden

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit, besonders Gefallen hat uns die Outdoor Küche, wo wir immer gemeinsam Essen konnten. Die teilweise parallel stattfindenden Events haben uns nicht gestört, da die Gäste nur den selben Ein- und Ausgang auf das Gelände genutzt haben, sonst aber in einem abgetrennten Bereich waren. Wir selber haben uns verzüglich zweimal bekochen lassen - grandios.

Im nirgendwo, aber viel Platz

Ich war mit einer Freundesgruppe dort und uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Etwas im nirgendwo... aber daher viel Platz und keine direkten Nachbarn. Das einzige was ungünstig war, dass die Vermieter in einem Nebenhaus (was auf dem gleichen gelände ist), am chech in Tag abends eine andere Gruppe zum Essen hatten. Anscheinend machen die das öfter... wir hatten Glück und es hat nur einen Abend betroffen.

Ein erholsamer Urlaub!

Das Haus und der Pool waren sauber und entsprachen genau der Beschreibung. Besonders gut hat uns die große Outdoor-Küche gefallen, die zum gemeinsamen kochen und zusammensitzen einlädt. Es ist absolut ruhig gelegen. Das Meer ist je nach Strandwahl bis zu 40 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt- ein Weg der sich jedoch lohnt. Die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind zu Fuß ca. eine halbe Stunde entfernt. Die gesamte Familie Mekis ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit gewesen. Frau Mekis hat uns kulinarisch verwöhnt und Mateo uns erstklassig bewirtet. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden wieder kommen. Danke!

Charming property and lovely host

Everything like in the pictures + very nice hosts. They also speak italian. Very quite surroundings, we found the peace we were looking for. Having car is mandatory both for shops (5-10 mins) and seaside (20-25 mins). The hosts also arrange private dinners with local specialties: to be tried at least once! Hope to be back soon!
