Rock hill retreat was a great place for our group. The bunk bed room provided tons of individual beds, and there were several tables and places for different board games to happen.
We had an amazing vacation at the rock hill retreat. The home is very comfortable and clean. And the back patio is a perfect location to spend time with family in a beautiful setting. We will be back when we visit the area again!
This home was beautiful as advertised! Instructions were communicated well ahead of time and getting in the property was seamless. Would 100% stay there again!
Everything with the property is what we wanted. Short drive from old man’s cave and has everything you would need for a weekend stay. Would definitely come back!
This was our couple's group 9th year coming to Hocking to cabrew. We stayed at Rock Hill Retreat and had an amazing time. It is by far the best property we have stayed in. There was more than enough room, a beautiful setting (deck and hot tub included), and a wonderful firepit area we enjoyed on Friday night.
Would absolultely stay here again!
The property was very nice and roomy. The game room was fun and was used by the whole family. The internet was a bit slow but the property manager told us that it was satellite internet and not to expect high speeds. Overall, our stay was great.
It was a nice place. Rooms were clean and check in and check out were very easy. They listed slow internet but there was actually no internet and no cell service which makes it very difficult if you need to check into work. If they had internet I would stay there again.
4 families stayed at the house. Everyone had a bed and the kids ages 11-14 had games and space to play. The house was clean and had all the kitchen things we needed to make our own meals. We had a great weekend.
We take a trip every fall with three families; total of 12 of us. This was by far voted the best VRBO house we’ve stayed at by the entire group! Spacious, clean, wonderful attention to detail, and in a great location close to hiking trails. All the furniture was comfortable and the hot tub was loved by all. Thank you to Alissa and Aaron for your kind welcome and sharing your home.
We took our Girl Scout Troop to Hocking Hills to celebrate their last year as a troop. The girls are moving on to different high schools in the fall, and we wanted to have one last trip. The property was perfect! The bunk room was awesome for the girls - they were all able to sleep down there! The house was clean, well stocked with everything we needed, and the hot tub was awesome. It is a perfect house for a big group!
Loved the property, however the drawing point was the patio and furniture on the back deck! When we arrived the furniture was dirty and soaking wet! We couldn’t use it the entire weekend, which was very disappointing, as the weather was perfect to be outside all weekend ☹️
We loved the house and it was a great stay with our kids and their spouses. Only disappointment was the pool table leg was pretty wobbly and the other game table wasn’t great either with the side rail not being attached properly. We wished the firepit was closer to the house and not such a walk. But over all we enjoyed our family time (the no cell service and weak wifi was great for us since not everyone spent the time on their phones). We would definitely come back though.
The Rock House Retreat is brand new this year and an incredible getaway. Aaron and Alissa have excellent communication and have a beautiful cabin that is close to all the major hiking trails, plenty of bedrooms, gorgeous bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen. We had 11 adult family members for a weekend retreat and it was perfect for us. We enjoyed the back patio with giant couch and outdoor speaker system to sit and talk and drink wine. We also enjoyed the nice big kitchen and 2 dining room tables to enjoy delicious meals and more wine :) While we did not utilize the hot tub it is a nice big size and appeared extremely clean. Cannot wait to plan a return to the Rock House!
We had a group of 4 families staying together. The basement was perfect for keeping the kids entertained and the bunkbed setup was so much fun for them to sleep in the same room. The upstairs and patio was a great hangout spot for the adults. The location was only a few minutes away from the kayak location. The fire pit is a bit of a walk down the driveway and I wish fire wood would have been included, but that's not a big deal. The internet was painfully slow (0.72mbps) and there's 0 cell service, but the point of the trip was to unplug and get away so once again, worth noting but not a big deal to us. However, it did make us a bit nervous in case of emergency. Overall, it was a beautiful place and the owner communicated well. We were very happy with our stay.
This was the second year that we stayed at the Rock Hill Retreat. The Retreat has plenty of room for our group to meet for our planning sessions, and enough space for break-out sessions when needed. The large deck provided plenty of room for outside discussions and meals. Everyone was comfortable and satisfied with the sleeping & meeting arrangements.
The Retreat is ideally suited for our officer retreat/meeting because of the bunk room on the ground floor of the building. While there are beds in the other bedrooms that would normally hold two people, we didn’t want a situation that would require anyone to share a bed. The bunk room gave us the individual bed space that was required.
All attendees at our retreat were very impressed with the Rock Hill Retreat. It is our plan to book this facility again for next year.
We met to perform a long range strategic planning meeting for the coming year and identify areas that need improvement. This was also an opportunity to perform some team building activities and come together as officers and leaders of our association.
We really enjoyed the property and surrounding area. Love that the host includes towels, linens and basic toiletries bc it makes packing for a family of 5 a lot easier! Highly suggest this as a rental.
My family and I really enjoyed this listing. The home had everything we needed. It was very peaceful, spacious and overall great! We really enjoyed our stay. I would totally recommend this listing to others.
