THE VIBE: Modern Cabin and a little touch of rustic & vintage.”
There is SO much to do in Winter & Summer. Are you an introvert? Great, feel free to hide in the woods and fish all day. Are you an extrovert? Good for you, there are plenty of pubs & people on the lake to keep you busy. Not sure what you are? I don't know what to tell you.

THE FUN:
Crystal lake is stocked with trout and salmon for fishing, Shawnee peak is 20min down the road & Sunday River is 35min for skiing, a brewery 5min away, numerous trail systems surround the area for snowmobile & atv access, the Saco River is a blast to float down with an adult beverage, and yes snowshoeing is huge here (it's not just for the elderly), Portland 1hr, North Conway 45min. The white mountains are about 1hr for hiking as well as there are plenty of nearby trails. Check out old speck mountain. Many close by public beaches & boat launches!!!

NO PETS: Yiks, Absolutely No pets allowed. I want to clarify we are not "anti-dog people", we just have allergies and nice furniture. If you're wondering; No Dogs don't see us and bark at us like we are bad people lol We actually love dogs but we just cannot have them in the home. We are very strict on the no pet rule and will charge an additional $700 cleaning fee if violated, plus damage if any (including scratches).

THE WATERFRONT: 100' waterfront area of grass, rocks, trees. There is a small area sort of a “mini beach” that you can easily launch kayaks or canoes from. You must cross the road to access the water. Once down the steps the area is very private and surrounded by trees, you can hear cars going by but normally your focus is the beautiful water views!!!

FIRE PIT: Bring your own wood/tinder, apply for a burn permit. Cannot be out of state wood per Maine law.

CANOE/KAYAK: When available, you are free to borrow our canoe & two kayaks!

SNOW & ICE: We pay a company to plow the driveway & shovel the deck/stairs during large storms. It is Maine keep in mind, there might be some snow/ice maintenance that renters will have to participate in. We give renters access to shovels and sand for sanding the driveway. The road & driveway are paved but we still recommend 4x4 if available but generally 2x4 can get up the driveway (there is no way to know for sure because we can’t predict the weather so we cannot guarantee anything). The main road is plowed via the town of Harrison. Snow is part of the charm, be ready, and go skiing!!!

THE FIREPLACE: It's gas, just click the button and it’s LIT!

THE GRILL: Propane tank. Use some fill some courtesy concept.

I’m Sheila (I know what you’re thinking, classic old broad name). Anyways, I own Crystal Cabin & I rent it out when I am at work or out of town for business. I also use airbnb for renting when I travel the world. So I understand what it’s like to rent and rent out. All I ask is you respect my home like I would yours. That’s it. Have fun.
