This is a lovely property in the middle of historic Bristol RI. The back deck offers beautiful sunsets and a breeze. If you want walking distance access to everything Bristol, this is a house for you. The landlord did a beautiful job renovating the building, and both the back yard and deck are perfect. If you have a boat, you can make a dock reservation right behind the house by contacting the Dock Master, which is walking distance. Looking forward to our visit next summer!
This historic, newly renovated house was perfect for our family of four to visit RI for a family reunion. It’s perfectly located downtown Bristol. Close to the beaches and shopping, sunsets on the back deck and just gathering the entire family for game night! It was delightful!

Description isn’t accurate so different experience than we wanted was had
Hosts were very communicative and gracious before check in and accommodating when we needed to change our dates. Our issue was that the rental description did not say that the back deck had absolutely no privacy as it was next door to a restaurant’s patio and it felt awkward to enjoy the deck. Also nothing stating in description that the house is surrounded by bars and restaurants and they attract a rowdy crowd that kept us up to last call and beyond. We would’ve never stayed at this location if we knew of the lack of privacy and the noise. House was clean but major ant problem made the whole stay uncomfortable and we ended up throwing a lot of of food out and having to eat at restaurants. Definitely not a restful stay.

We’re sorry Rachel didn’t enjoy her stay. We maintain that the description was accurate. Most people realize that the “heart of downtown Bristol waterfront” would be filled with restaurants, bars and shopping.
As I explained to Rachel about the ants, Bristol had serious downpours several days before her visit. The exterminator said he was very busy from all the calls. The house was treated a few days before Rachel’s stay, but it took a few days before the treatment worked.
Rachel and her guests did not fully close the refrigerator which caused ice build up and caused it to stop working. We had to call a repair service after she left. She complained loudly and often about things beyond our control, sending a text at 12:10 AM that she was cold. She had complete control over the air conditioning which has separate settings for the bedrooms. Prior to her stay, we had all 5 star ratings. It’s too bad her inability to realize she would not find “peace and quiet” in the “heart of downtown Bristol’s waterfront” ruined her vacation.
We were down for our daughters wedding at Bithewold. The property was right down town, walking distance for the rehearsal dinner, and a 3 minute drive to wedding venue. Owner was great to work with. House looks recently upgraded and is in great condition. Great deck over looking the harbor, kids park next door, and beaches not far away. Overall it was a great experience.
Beautiful property! Extremely clean. Easy check in process and great communication with host.
