Spacious Lake Front Home with beautiful Gardens, Pond, Waterfall, Pool, & Dock

The property has a beautifully landscaped pond with koi fish and a waterfall, as well as a large heated indoor pool and spa. The large den has a pool table. we are on the lake and we have a boat dock. There is also a fire pit. My husband and I live on the property in a separate apartment (not attached to the house), so we will be here to immediately respond to any needs that you may have during your stay and we look for ways to make your stay special and memorable, while also giving you your privacy. The property is conveniently only 8 minutes from the highway. We look forward to hosting you at Misty Pond - your private resort! Great for flexcations/ ideal work/play destination. Discounts for longer stays. We have a pontoon boat which you can book charter boat rides and Taxi trips to the many restaurants and parks on the lake!
Note: Because of the water activities and fire pit on the property you will be required to sign a waiver agreement of release of liability.

This property was absolutely gorgeous! The house was well stocked! The indoor pool was a life saver for the first couple of rainy days! The owners were very helpful and even took us on a complimentary boat ride around the lake.The use of the kayaks was a bonus. There are so many wonderful restaurants nearby! We even rented one more night so we did not have to leave. We so enjoyed this time with our family here!

Perfect experience

This property and the host Misty and her husband were wonderful! Friendly and helpful! We had everything we needed. The property was so beautiful and relaxing!! Morning coffee by the waterfall and nature and wildlife was very calming. The walk to the lake was convenient and the kids loved the indoor pool and the fire pit. It was a comfortable and tremendous stay. Everyone enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks.

Wedding Party Retreat!

PERFECT accommodation for bridal party, wedding party and a family/friends brunch. Several guests told me that this property was the highlight of a wedding weekend that included the Botanical Garden and The Chair Factory! Hosts are beyond gracious!

Family Wedding

The home was perfect for us as we traveled from Louisiana to attend a family wedding. It exceeded all our expectations plus more. propertyThe host thought of EVERYTHING!!! We were NEVER in need for anything. We enjoyed most the beautiful surrounds, waterfall, nature trail, kayaking and the location. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends. Would highly recommend as we are looking forward to hopefully getting opportunity to go back❤️

Wonderful place

What a beautiful property! The landscaping and setting were phenomenal. The house was plenty roomy for our group of 14. The pool and spa were super convenient and used daily. The dock access was a huge plus for our WaveRunner with fuel just around the corner. Renting the pontoon was fun for all. Hosts were super; answered all our questions on the area and property, and were very friendly. Overall great time on a lovely property!

Amazing house, wonderful hosts!

We had an absolutely magnificent experience staying at this breathtaking property. House is huge but everything is well organized and easy to find (kitchen even has labels on each drawer!). Having an inside pool was a nice bonus - kids enjoyed it and were entertained for hours:) We couldn't have a more perfect celebration of my husband's and kids' birthday parties!!! Thank you!!

Serene Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Misty Pond Resort. The grounds are meticulous and inviting with beautiful landscaping. Our hosts were great to work with and very communicative. We appreciate the fresh flowers in the kitchen and bathrooms from Missys garden. House is amazing, beds were comfortanble and fit our crew of 12 perfectly with one room left over. We especially loved the pond and waterfall. Our grandson loved feeding the fish and turtles. We were in town for a graduation, and only wish we had more time to spend here.

Home was large enough for 19 of us. 2 dishwashers and all equipment for kitchen labeled on cabinets. Kayaks great for 9 yrs and up. Lily pad a big hit. Steve and Missy were exceptional hosts and managers.

Slice of paradise

We recently stayed at Misty and her husband's beautiful property with a group of 10 friends, and it was an absolute paradise. From the serene personal front yard lake complete with a tranquil waterfall to the luxurious indoor pool, the home offered everything we could have dreamed of for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was tastefully decorated and impeccably maintained, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Misty and her husband were incredibly warm and hospitable hosts, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their positive vibes added an extra layer of magic to the entire experience. We couldn't have asked for a more blissful retreat and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a slice of paradise

Family gathering

The house is very nice. Our favorites of the property were the landscaping, access to the lake (via the dock) and the wrap around porch. The many activities we were able to access at the property: swimming off the dock with the float pad, kayaks, paddle board, fishing off the dock, feeding the fish and turtles in the pond, rocking on the porch, cornhole, basketball, billiards, indoor pool, smores on the firepit, grilling out and wildlife viewing while walking through the woods. Stocking the fridge, etc. is easy with a Publix, Target, Sams Club and liquor stores all within 10 minutes.

A most perfectly secluded oasis, conveniently located.

Steve & Missy thought of everything when they created this stunning get-away. Situated close to the interstate and Lake Lanier Islands, this gem is nestled in quite perfectly. Upon entering the grounds, you are welcomed by the beautiful pond with waterfalls. Driving over the bridge gives you the distinct feeling that you have pulled off the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The house is generously appointed with great attention to detail. The kitchen is a chef's dream. Every room opens into the pool and spa area. There is an endless amount of private space outdoors including the fire pit, walking trails, separate decks, the pond, as well as the dock. What an amazing space! We have already made plans to book again in several weeks.

Peaceful location

Missy and Steve were great host! The home is pretty much as pictured. The kids were content with staying in because they had their own space, tv, and indoor pool. There is a dock to the lake and Steve treated us to a boat ride which was so nice. We grilled out one day on the patio. Sitting on the pond in the mornings is so peaceful. The house is close to grocery stores and about 15min plus to retail shopping. The kitchen is large and well stocked with everything you need. They only feedback I would give is the the pool is difficult to heat so you may want to request the heat to be turned on prior to your arrival. And we couldn’t access Netflix on the TVs because we only had the Dish remotes & not the TV remotes. I would totally stay again!

Peaceful + fun + best getaway we could have imaged!

The pictures just don't do this property justice! The beauty of the waterfall and pond and surrounding landscapes is breathtaking. And where else can you find an indoor pool and hot tub? We really enjoyed being able to swim at all hours of the day regardless of the weather (and with no sunscreen!). We can't say enough good things about this property. We had 6 adults and 7 kids with us and we all had such an amazing time. We had the most epic Easter Egg hunt for the kids with unlimited places to hide eggs! :) Having the boat available for rent was fabulous and we enjoyed being out on Lake Lanier so much. The home is gorgeous and so spacious. The kitchen was a great place to prepare meals for the group as well. We also enjoyed grilling burgers in the backyard on the grill and making s'mores at the fire pit. Sitting by the pond in the rocking chairs was so relaxing and wonderful. You couldn't ask for a better view. The owners were so helpful and so kind if we had a question, but we had absolutely everything we needed. We will all cherish the memories made on this trip for the rest of our lives.

Everything We Could Have Asked For and More

Wow! Misty Pond Resort was amazing! I wish I could tell everyone to stay away so that I could keep it all to ourselves but it wouldn't be fair to keep this jewel a secret. The outside was absolutely beautiful and the fall colors peaking in left us in awe! When we arrived it was raining a tiny bit and we were given the visual to the aptly name property. When we arrived they had made a welcome sign for our group and left us a little welcome treat. Yum! The home and property were very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. You bring the food and the chefs and the house pretty much has you covered on appliances and utensils. There is plenty to do in and around the house including board games, cornhole, billiards, swimming, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, have I said wow yet?! Missy and Steve were there for any need we had and were fantastic hosts! Well done Missy and Steve! Once the remainder of our group left, my husband and I were given the opportunity to go for a walk alone together and really take in the beauty of the property. Wish we could take it all home with us but the memories were made are unforgettable. Thank you. We truly loved our stay at Misty Pond Resort and look forward to our next!

Wedding

We booked this house for our micro wedding. Siblings stayed in the house with us and our other guests visited during the day. The large space of the house allowed the two sides to spend quality time together in comfort. We totaled 23 people and the kitchen had enough supplies to cook and serve that many people. The two dishwashers were critical. Our ceremony was held on the dock overlooking the pond and the host offered us folding chairs to use for the service. Everything was beautiful. We were worried about the weather in July in Georgia, but it happened to be raining off and on that week and day, giving us just enough time to do a quick ceremony and the rain made it cool enough. The host had arranged for landscaping to be done in preparation of our wedding day! This included spraying for mosquitos, so there were no mosquitos during our wedding! One thing to note is that the house and the grounds may be difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility issues. If you are doing a similar wedding and can afford it, I highly recommend planning to check out two days after your ceremony, rather than the next day. Having one full day at the house after the big event let everyone (including the bride and groom) relax before packing and traveling. We booked the house for 5 nights, which ended up being just right for our purposes. Our guests really enjoyed the house as well.

Above Reproach

The house is spectacular! We held our small wedding of 30 at Misty Pond out by the waterfall. The experience was fantastic. Missy and Steve were EXTREMELY accommodating from the beginning to the end of the process. Missy kept in communication with me about all the little details from tables and chairs to specific measurements of the foyer so I could plan remotely from Florida. The house is immaculate with 5 bedrooms and a LOT of beds. Luxury! We did the wedding outside by the waterfall and the reception inside. There was enough space for everything. The pool was fantastic fun for the kids and the firepit was nice at night. The pictures are turning out fantastic from the sneak peaks! This house would be great for a large family just wanting to relax and enjoy their time together or a small wedding. The kitchen is well appointed and had most of what we needed. Publix is super close for food needs. Two ovens, two dishwashers, a huge refrigerator, enough plates and such for the entire wedding party and an ice machine. Enough living area to spread out and not get on each other's nerves. A pool table. You really can't ask for more. I was hesitant to rent a place that the owners lived on property but Missy and Steve were not intrusive. They live above the garage. They were there for help if needed but they were not in our way or hovering. We did not use the boat as planned, we were just too busy, maybe next time. We will be back! Don't miss this one!

The property is beautiful. The house is beautiful. The kitchen was well-equipped. The pool and hot tub were well used though it took a while to get used to managing the heaters. The cove on Lake Lanier was peaceful and still, and the boat dock was equipped with kayaks and paddle boards. The misty pond with the waterfall was perfect for just relaxing on the wrap-around porch. Missy and Steve were excellent hosts. I hope we have the chance to return.

The Misty Pond Resort Delights!

We have stayed at many short-term rentals and The Misty Pond stands out as one of the most impressive! The grounds are breathtaking and beautifully well-maintained. The house was a perfect fit for our family with children as they would end each day playing in the pool while we made dinner. Missy obviously loves this property and allowing others to enjoy it! We give the Misty Pond 11 out of 10 stars!

Steve and Missy Bentz- We are the owner/operators and we live in the carriage house on the property. We had a furniture repair business for 30 years and were ready to retire from having a larger business with employees to doing something with less stress and more fun! We hope to be able to bring peace, restoration, and fun to families and friends at our beautiful Misty Pond Resort.

My husband and I fell in love with the property and had to have it! We also wanted to share its beauty with others, so the perfect way to do that was by short-term rentals. We had the idea to make it into a private resort for families and friends to come and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of nature and of being together having fun! Come and enjoy wildlife, gardens, forest, water activities, and so much more!
