About this property

Historic Creole Cottage Apt. Close to the French Quarter

You'll love our historic 1860s Creole Cottage apartment, halfway between the French Quarter and City Park–an easy 10-minute bike ride or 15-minute walk away. Super close to many festivals, Bourbon Street, Treme, Faubourg Marigny, Frenchmen Street, and the Mississippi River.

This carefully renovated duplex in the Esplanade Ridge Historic District can accommodate 4 guests, and includes 2 private bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a tub/shower, the other with a shower), kitchen, laundry, living room, fast WiFi, and a piano.

The apartment is in a duplex and has two suites. Here's what's included:

–Suite 1: One bed, with television, sofa, desk, chair, and mini-fridge. One private bathroom with a tub/shower.

–Suite 2: One bed, with television, desk, chair, and mini-fridge. One private bathroom with shower only. Private entrance to the backyard.

The apartment has a private kitchen, washer/dryer, and living room.

The living room has a desk and lots of natural light–it's perfect for remote workers!

You’ll love the 16-foot-tall ceilings, French doors, exposed brick, and original pine floors. You’ll also love the back patio–it’s perfect for drinking coffee, beer or wine, or eating a New Orleans po’boy sandwich. In the backyard on some afternoons and early evenings, you may hear a jazz band playing at a neighborhood coffee shop. You might see a traditional Second Line parade moving through the neighborhood's streets. We're within walking distance to many popular events, but removed enough to have an authentic New Orleans neighborhood vibe.

Please note that you'll have to walk up four small steps to enter the apartment.

We're totally open to relatively longer-term stays up to 28 days! We'll need to schedule cleaning service every two weeks.

This is a traditional Creole Cottage with a "shotgun style" floorplan. It's a specific historical style -- look up the cool details.

There's free street parking.

Fantastic stay — close to everything!

We loved this adorable historic house in New Orleans. It’s super clean and tastefully decorated. You get a nice sense of what a restored 1800s New Orleans house is like. It’s very easy to walk to the French Quarter. The host was very kind and knowledgable. We can’t recommend this house enough. And we can’t wait to stay here again!

Amazing, in every way!

We had an incredible time staying here. The house is gorgeous! There were snacks when we arrived! Steven was super responsive and provided lots of great advice as needed. It's located in a great, centralized, location! Less than 20 minute walk to most key places, or a 6-8 minute Uber. We also loved that is was close to the Treme neighborhood, which is packed with history. Thanks you for providing a home base for an epic weekend. We surely hope to stay again when we return.

Great property with authentic artifacts

We loved the house! The renovations were kept in tune with the time period of the original house and it had such cool touches. The back yard patio area was awesome and a great place to relax after a long day in New Orleans. For us, the walk to the French quarters was a bit too far as we're not in our twentys and thirtys any longer but it is probably an ok walk for younger people. The kitchen was nicely equipped for those wanting to cook (we didn't) and for storing food in the full size refrigerator. There were snacks and waters provided which was also nice. Highly recommend the place if the set up suits you and your guests.
