Welcome to the “Columbine Cottage” Vacation Rental!

OWNER cleaned and operated - so you will be communicating directly with me, Sarah, before, during (if needed) and after your visit. My mom, dad and I are the "cleaning team." This means the home is meticulously clean and maintained and you are cared for like you are our best friends!

We have lived here our whole lives, so we know about secret hiking trails and the best places to eat in town!

The home is a just around the corner from fantastic downtown coffee shops, restaurants, and minutes from walking paths, hiking trails, and gorgeous mountain views! Centrally located to everything Colorado Springs has to offer! Columbine
Colorado is within walking distance to the Olympic Training Center as well as Memorial Hospital. And it is just 5 minutes from two golf courses; a 5 minute drive to Colorado College and downtown Colorado Springs. Pikes Peak, Cog Railway, Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs are a short 12-15 minute drive. Additionally, you will be only 14 minutes to the Air Force Academy, Peterson Air Force Base and Fort Carson. 19 minutes from the Colorado Springs Airport. 20 minutes to The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood! The first place we have ever stayed that has exceeded our expectations & the host is a great resource for everything in the area. The homemade cookies & warm welcome sign was so appreciated after a stressful day of traveling. Exceptionally clean with comfortable, beautiful furnishings...they have truly thought of everything.

Beautifully kept home and yard. The home is an outstanding clean home with immaculate yard. We had 2 children under 3 and the home owners have great amenities for younger kids. High chair, kid utensils, plates, etc., pack n play, mattress with organic sheets, double stroller.The home is in a great location and very nice neighborhood. This is our second stay at this property and would not hesitate to go back again.

Amazing place!

We loved our quick time at this cute house. Great access to everything we wanted and awesome views. Beds were comfy, house/kitchen was well stocked! We will for sure stay here next time we are through town!

Extremely clean and very cute cottage

This cottage was extremely clean and so very cute! It is very tastefully decorated and not lacking in amenities. And the details (even fresh flowers) finished everything off perfectly. Sarah was an excellent host and was very responsive. We loved the recommendations for local eats and tried several! Highly recommend staying here! We definitely would book again if we come back to the Springs!

Perfect home base for our adventures!

This was the perfect place for us to relax and sleep in between all of our sightseeing adventures! The house is beautiful and offered everything we needed and more. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable cottage home with a mountain view! Very clean, super comfortabe beds, home was well-stocked with everything we could have needed, host was very sweet and accommodating, and the hot tub and firepit in the backyard were great perks for relaxing evenings after days filled with activity! Highly recommend!

A Great Place to Stay

The cottage was charming from the beginning. The process from booking to leaving was extremely easy and the hosts were very attentive in all details. Easy instructions on entering the cottage were provided prior to arrival, and a couple of quick text messages to us just to make sure all was ok made us feel welcomed and not overburdened. The rooms were perfect for our 4 people and the amenities were perfect. We did not have to worry about toiletries, paper towels, napkins or anything else. All was waiting and provided for us. The rooms were clean and cute. We would highly recommend this cottage for anyone with a family. We would definitely stay here again on another visit to Colorado Springs.

Amazing cottage!

Our family of 4 stayed here last week for several nights over a kids' school break and...WOW. We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals and this one was by far the best. The cottage was extremely clean, comfortable and had everything we could have needed. It was very well-stocked with linens/pillows/blankets, paper products, cleaning supplies, every kitchen appliance or utensil you might need, spices and coffee, flip-flips and towels for the hot tub, cornhole, basketballs and footballs, the list goes on and on. The freshly baked cookies waiting for us were an added bonus! The owner provided all the info we would need and were super responsive with the one question that we had about using the hot tub. Highly recommend, we would definitely stay here again!

Home away from home.

This was one of the best VRBO experiences I have ever had. The hosts have thought of everything. Tastefully decorated, well stocked and plenty of things to do inside and out. My son enjoyed the hot tub each night, playing corn hole, basketball and working the puzzles. It was a very comfortable house.

The Best Nest in Colorado Springs

Three long friends attended the Rocky Mountain Womens' Film Festival and stayed in this lovely home. From the luxurious bedding and a kitchen stocked to perfection, to the beautiful design touches complete with original art, our group was in heaven. We even decided to stay at home 2 of the 3 nights of our visit. The hosts were wonderful with their communications and even provided PDF's with hiking/activities, favorite restaurants etc. I have rented many many houses on VRBO and this was hands down the best.

Excellent experience

We loved this house, so homey, very clean and very helpful owner. The only thing needs improvement is inside the fridge needs a to be cleaned better. We had a great time in this house.

Cutest little home

This house is so cute! A great location with a nice backyard. The kitchen is loaded with anything and everything to cook. My favorite though was the beds. Very comfortable. My kids loved using the hot tub after a long day of hiking. I would highly recommend !

Incredible bungalow

This property was the very best we've ever rented! Cleanest, freshest, best decorated, best amenities, and possibly best owners we may ever have the good fortune to work with. Too many older homes still harbor bad odors from 100 years of smoke and bad food smells. Hope to return to Colorado Springs again and definitely will stay with Sarah and Caleb's rental!!

Wonderful Stay in Colorado Springs

Sarah was an amazing host! The house was incredibly clean, beds very comfortable, and we had more than enough space for our family of 5. Sarah was so good at communicating with us as soon as we booked and even offered to let us check in early as we were getting into town. She was a very gracious host. She knew we had young kids that would need some entertainment and kindly brought toys over for them to play with. She even had homemade cookies waiting for us as soon as we checked in! Would absolutely stay here again if we’re ever back in town!

The BEST property we have ever rented!

The owners makes sure every detail is perfect. Fresh flowers throughout the house, homemade cookies and chocolate upon arrival. The property is decorated as if it is in a magazine, yet clean, cozy and inviting. We had an amazing stay. Lots of restaurants and stores near, but we loved the house so much we BBQ'd and enjoyed the front and back porch. Next time we are in Colorado Springs we will be back here. 15 min from Air Force Academy made it the perfect house for our graduation celebration. Thank you Reeders for making our week of celebrating more perfect with this beautiful house.

Beautiful Home

We traveled to Colorado Springs for my brother-in-law's surgery. This VRBO home was the perfect place to stay. The hospital is very close (5 minutes) and very helpful for our family. Safe neighborhood. Sarah was absolutely a wonderful host. Even fresh baked cookies. Sarah responded to every request and truly cared about us! Great recommendations for restaurants around the area, Home very clean and comfortable. Kitchen well stocked and great views of Pikes Peak. Loved everything about our stay. Best rental ever!

We absolutely loved this place! The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. From the welcome sign and fresh baked cookies to the fully stocked kitchen of amenities like coffee and spices, we were completely ’at home.’ We appreciated the availability of our hosts and the accuracy of the listing. The house is adorable and did I mention well stocked? There were plenty of quality linens (towels and great sheets), quality toilet paper and Kleenex, and cabinets with easily forgotten items like contact solution, milk of magnesia and the like. The location was central to all the things we did over the too short weekend. If we get the opportunity to return to Colorado Springs we will definitely stay here again! Thank you so much to Sarah and her mom!

Cozy and convenient

Our stay at the cottage house in Colorado Springs was delightful. The cozy ambiance made it feel like a true home away from home. Its location was ideal, allowing easy access to various parts of the city, which made exploring and enjoying the area incredibly convenient. A standout feature was the freshly baked cookies provided by our hosts—a warm, welcoming touch. The kitchen was fully equipped and very useful, making it easy for us to prepare meals. We appreciated having all the necessary appliances and utensils on hand. The king-size beds in each room were a treat, especially for our two teenagers who thoroughly enjoyed the extra space and comfort. Fantastic stay at a beautiful and super clean property

Stayed a week for our son’s wedding and this was the perfect property for us. Super clean, well equipped and maintained. The owner obviously takes pride in exceeding expectations and succeded in every eay. From initial booking through check-in to resolving a minor issue caused by my own stupidity, Sarah and her family made this the easiest and most enjoyable rental we have ever experienced. The cottage is so well decorated and furnished our visitor’s jaws would drop whenever they dropped by. The property is well located to the downtown area where our events were held but far enough away to be very quiet and peaceful. The yard is also well maintained and would be a great place to enjoy some al fresco activities. The delicious welcome cookies and fresh flowers were an added bonus. Will definitely book here again the next time we are in the Springs.
