Exactly what we were looking for, beautiful property, lots of views and sites to see down the trails, and especially the quiet being in seclusion. I will definitely be booking again.

Great to unplug

We truly enjoyed our time unplugged. There was a lot to see, a lot of waterfalls, Fort Ticonderoga, the Star Trek experience as well. Keith and Susan were awesome hosts, and we would easily go back.

Davey falls

Beutiful property close to the water falls . There is hiking just up by the bridge . Our family of 6 with a baby fit well . Off grid just like it lists no service or internet . Would recommend this place and would stay again .

Quiet Time

If planning on doing things in the area, pre-plan, due to no wi-fi. The water hole was extremely refreshing. However, I highly recommend not swimming alone. It is a rather steep walk to it and the rocks are slippery.

We indulged ourselves and rented the RV camper as a base camp for our day hikes and adventures in the High Peaks Wilderness. It was well worth it if you want to avoid the hassle of the tenting experience. The beds were comfy, sheets and towels were clean, the well water was pure, and the conveniences were plentiful; gas stove with oven, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and French press, microwave (if you use that sort of thing), toaster, pots, pans, plates, etc. The setup outside was equally sweet; fire ring with Adirondack chairs and camp wood steps away, gas barbecue, picnic table provides seating for a family. The two other tent sites were distant enough to provide privacy but close enough to promote neighborliness. Sixty seconds away, you could sit on the comfy furniture at the deck/treehouse overlooking the swimming hole and listen to the soothing sound of the waterfall. You could also have your pick of a lounge chair, a hammock or boats and floats to enjoy the space as well. Despite the rural location, shopping for food, gas and essentials is a few minutes away. The friendly town of Ticonderoga is nearby with its concerts, food co-op and public beach on Lake George. Don't miss the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour! You can visit Fort Ticonderoga and enjoy the musket/cannon demonstrations as well as their museum and reenactors who explain the history and lifestyle 250 years ago to the day. Our host was the best! He advised and suggested great stuff. We will return!

Davey Falls was an amazing place to stay. The waterfalls and swim area were a gem! The historic hiking trail across from the bridge was a pleasant surprise. It included many historical sites associated with the local milling history. The RV was perfect for the four of us and the ac helped after long hikes. We are already planning a return trip for next year.

The camper could use a little upgrade and the property could also be cleaned up a bit but for the price and peaceful atmosphere well worth the stay.

This is an excellent location for a visit to Fort Ticonderoga. Definitely off-the-social-grid so get your directions straight while you still have signal. Easy to find as long as you pay attention to the owners' directions. Even though the camper is close to the road (dirt) only a couple of cars went by so the most noise you hear is from the creek. The camper has a few years on it, but it's in good shape & was very comfortable. The toilet area is tight, but clean. The fridge works - just be patient - it took longer than I expected to kick in (4-6 hours). All in all, I thought this was a very good value & I would come back to stay longer and take advantage of the creek... and go back to Fort Ti.

Not as advertised!

Very disappointed. Should have been told there was no waterfall due to drought. It was not private and secluded as there were people camping on property and using the outdoor shower, we didn’t not expect to share. The sewer situation in the camper was so smelly it was gagging. Vent in bathroom and on air conditioner, filthy. I have pictures of all the discrepancies. In all felt like a bait and switch. Have never had an issue with any other VRBO property we have stayed at.

Worth it for the hidden waterfall.

Sure, you aren't staying in a hotel room on a lake or in an rented basement in someone's house, but the swimming hole here is incredible -- deep water with fish and crawfish, areas for lounging in the dappled shade, and a tall waterfall hiding behind a rock formation. We stayed on the property in the owner's camper and had comfortable sleep each night. Ticonderoga is only 20 minutes away and the fort and Star Trek tours are both worth it. Mountain hikes are a longer drive, but this place can be your home base for the whole area around the Adirondacks.

Perfect nature spot!

We had an amazing experience! The camper was well equipped, the nature is outstanding and being off the grid was really enjoyable. The swimming hole and the fall were in a walking distance and spending the day there enjoying nature was all we could ask for a vacation. Really recommended for nature lovers!
