We loved staying at the Law. Very unique, large place. Very convenient to lots of restaurants, stores, and attractions. We loved sitting in the swing in the back courtyard.
This is my fourth visit to this property. It is very convenient to the historic district, easy to get to, free parking, and within walking distance to the district. It is quiet, private, and has a beautiful courtyard perfect for star gazing and cocktails. Plan to visit again.
Unique furnishings, collections and artwork from a bygone era of charm and gentility. The building has an interesting history and the courtyard is a tranquil oasis, teeming with birds. The location, downtown is within walking distance to food, shopping and a superb coffee shop is just a few doors down. The hosts are welcoming and attentive.
Really enjoyed everything about our stay. Check in was easy, hospitality and communication was great, and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go.
The suite met or exceeded all of our expectations.

Beautiful home with many memories and a great story inside. Location is excellent! Comfortable no issues. Would highly recommend!
We loved staying here. The host has left a lot of their family pictures and other history. It was nice to look at the old pictures and other items. He was very responsive anytime we had a question. It was a wonderful place to just get away and enjoy.
Great property! Such a nice property to enjoy a wonderful little city. This property was clean and owner was very responsive and friendly! Didn’t realize how many amenities this property offered in initial booking, from the historical charm to the beautiful courtyard. Would recommend this property!!

About the host
Hosted by Richard Branyan
This apartment was my Mother’s home for 18 years. It still contains most of my mother’s collections and family items.
It still feels like a family retreat and it is still used by my family when they visit.
Much decluttering was done - but my mother was a collector for all of her 89 years !
Why they chose this property
I opened an Antique Store on Franklin Street in 1987 - in 1989 it was in this space. In 1992, we moved the store next door and my Father moved his Law office into The Law! It was a Law office till 2002 when it was converted into my mother’s home.
It opened as a BnB in 2021
What makes this property unique
Several great personal collections. Spacious layout and a beautiful large secluded courtyard. Safe off street parking and an onsite owner. We also have an onsite manager during business hours. Lots of TV’s and fast internet!
