Isabella House is a circa 1885 cottage with vintage character and charm located on Canal Street in downtown Natchez, Mississippi. Within short walking distance are such attractions as: The Natchez Visitor Center, Bluff Park and walking trail, The Convention Center, historic Under-The-Hill Saloon as well as beautiful antebellum homes and the mighty Mississippi River himself. The cottage has been lovingly renovated from a state of total disrepair and is available for nightly and weekly stays comfortably accommodating 2-4 guests. The second bed is a custom-made wall bed located in the living room area. It has a wonderful full-height queen mattress with an additional 4" memory foam topper. Let us know it will be needed, and we will have this bed down, made and ready for guests. Each sleeping area opens onto the front porch, and each also open into the kitchen affording privacy for both. Although furnished with many unique and antique pieces, it still offers modern conveniences such as TV, internet, dishwasher and washer/dryer as well as complimentary beverages. The rear courtyard is spacious and private and has a grill and chiminea for guest use. At Isabella House, you'll be within walking distance of wonderful downtown shops, restaurants and entertainment, but you might not want to leave the back porch!

Great little house in the heart of the river front area. We loved the charm and cute and private back yard with full length porch. Highly recommend for someone looking for convenience and privacy even though it was on a main street.

It was our pleasure to host you guys. Thanks for your review. We appreciate it.
We were very satisfied with our stay here. It gave us the feel of being transported back in time but with modern conveniences. The mattresses were comfortable and we slept well. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch overlooking a private fenced yard while we sipped on the delicious muscadine wine provided by the host. We would stay there again.

Thanks so much for your review. We hope others can enjoy the same hospitality, and also, that we can host you guys again one day too.
The house was everything we expected and more. I really enjoyed spending time on the back porch. Jackie was a wonderful host and the communication with her was great. We felt the house is ideally located for restaurants, mansions and the various attractions in Natchez. We hope to return to Natchez and this is where we will stay, when we return.

Thank you so much for your review. You were a true pleasure to host. Please do come again sometime.
Property & house were very clean and easy to access. In a convenient location to access downtown or the newer parts of town on the highway. The house itself has been restored but still keeps its classic feel. 10/10

Thank you so much for your review. We are happy that we could save this cottage from 1885! It is one of the only remaining ones along that section of Canal Street.
Everything about the property was great. The only issue was the noise from cars traveling on Canal Street. I don’t think the owners have any control over that.

We’re glad you and your friend enjoyed Isabella House. Spring Pilgrimage is indeed a busy time in Natchez.
The house was convenient to restaurants and downtown activities. It was a cozy and comfortable house with many detailed elements for the ease and enjoyment of its guests.

Thank you for your review. You guys were great guests. We appreciate you and your insights. Come again when you can. We’ll be happy to host you.
My major complaint is not one that the host can do anything at all about. The house is VERY close to a busy road. The road noise is deafening and continues until the wee hours. There wasn’t much sleep to be had.

We certainly can’t change our location, which most guests choose so they can be in the heart of downtown. However, for our very sensitive guests, we do provide sound machines, and in a worst case scenario, ear plugs, both of which are placed right next to the beds. Most people don’t use them, but they are available. I don’t know if you chose these options or not.
Enjoyed our stay in Natchez. Cottage was a couple of blocks from Bluff Park which is nice to walk and seems to be the hub of activity. Cottage is also located near downtown shops and restaurants. The only issue is the loud street noise.
