This home features a large living/dining/kitchen area - perfect for entertaining. The decor presents a warm eclectic feeling. The Living Room features an entertainment center with large screen HDTV and stereo above a stone gas fireplace. French doors in dining room open to quiet courtyard with outdoor fireplace & dining area w/seating for 8. Spacious landscaped backyard has salt water in ground -heated pool & spa w/panoramic views of San Jacinto Mountains. Pool floats are available as well as bicycles for a ride to the Park only 3 blocks away. The backyard is completely walled for privacy and has grapefruit, tangerine and orange trees. We enjoyed the house and pool.

This house suited the needs of our family. We six adults and 3 teenage granddaughters. It was comfortable and Tim made us feel right at home. We all enjoyed the pool and spa. The location was great, close to downtown with good restaurants and fun shops.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY !

It's been a while since we stayed there, but I forgot to give a review ! We had such a great time, and TIM was fantastic in helping us with anything we needed. Photos matched the house. I would recommend the property. It was a 5 bedroom, and the 5th bedroom, granted was small, but quite suitable. There are so many great places to eat in the area, and only 1 night we stayed in and did a BBQ, and it turned out great. Lots of great kitchen supplies. The house's Location to down town is amazing. Grocery stores nearby. Place is very clean, very well kept, and everything was great. Nice and quiet street. I wish we could have stayed longer. Palm Springs is a fun place, and lots of nice people. The owner, Tim, made the trip perfect. THANKS !

Great Rental House in Palm Springs, CA

I was very pleased with rental house. It was very clean, comfortable ,quiet, and attractive. It was close enough to walk to the downtown area for shopping and other activities. I enjoyed relaxing by the pool, looking at the beautiful mtns. I would recommend the areial tramway, hiking, walking to view the pretty gardens in many of the homes, and to see some of the plays. I would recommend this rental house to my friends and family.....great place to stay .

My family stayed here at the beginning of April for 4 nights and loved this home.. Everything we needed or asked for was there. The pool was great for the kids (and adults). Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic desert retreat

Whether you are looking for a quiet get-a-way or a total party place, this home is it! It's spacious, clean and loaded with amenities. Each themed bedroom has it's own bath, extremely comfortable beds and the linens are top notch. Located close to convention center, downtown, and a great casino in case you want to leave this sparkling clean pool side retreat. I would happily recommend this property to friend and stranger alike!

Family Reunion

I hosted a family reunion at this house in Feb. 2011 which was a great success. The well stocked kitchen allowed us to prepare a delicious birthday meal for my brother. The many bedrooms and baths gave everyone their own space. The location was perfect with easy access to restaurants, shopping, casino & parks. Ample parking permitted people to come and go as they pleased without having to move cars. The patio space, pool and hot tub allowed us to spend many hours visiting and relaxing outdoors. I can't wait to do it again!

We rented the house for a long birthday weekend. Owners were very accomodating about letting us drop off luggage and groceries early. Greatly appreciated. House was certainly clean and accomodating. The house was well stocked with towels, etc. The living room could use some larger couches. The house has 4 or 5 bedrooms, but the living room furniture does not accomodate that. We seemed to have a problem with running out of hot water on occassion. We were disappointed in the back yard as it was un mowed and so we borrowed a mower from the garage to do the mowing, and even did trimming around the edges before our birthday party. At the time of our stay, the owner was staying next door which can be good and bad. Privacy is greatly appreciated. The 5th bedroom is attached to the 4th bedroom, so the guests in the 5th room have to walk through the 4th room in order to get in and out of their room. The 5th room is very small ! The pool was nice and relaxing, and a nice number of chairs and chaise lounges. Owners were very quick with returning cleaning and security deposit. The location is unbeatable. Nice and close to town and Ruth Hary Park. Overall, we'd be happy to stay there again.

Thanks Dave for your quick review. Couple of things to let you know -We were glad to accommodate you with the 3 hour early check in. We really had to rush as the previous weekly tenants only left an hour before you arrived. Therefore, we were not able to get to the gardening in the back yard. I would have done this for you if had asked, but I got the idea you where ready to get your Birthday Party started. Also just to let you know - we are in the process of re-landscaping the back yard and will be going to a more "desert" type of landscape in the future. The two couches in the living room will seat 4 people - about the same as a standard couch and we have 10 more chairs in the Living and Dinning area to use. Some guests have said there are too many seats, not that there are not enough. The hot water system is the newest product on the market - it is a "hot water on demand" - and we have never heard that there was a hot water shortage - this could possible occur if all the showers were running simultaneously and or maybe the dish washer or clothes washer. We are trying to be as Eco-Friendly as possible. Re: the privacy issue - Sorry, for being around in the beginning but I was just trying to give recommendations re: shopping, attractions, directions, etc. and finish getting last of the laundry out of your way - and actually I live in San Francisco most of the time not next door. Hope you will rent again and know I try to do what my renters are needing me to do. Yes, the twin bedded room is small - but was actually designed to accommodate 2 children adjacent to the parents room. This is allows for greater safety with them not getting out of the house and around the pool. I think this was mentioned in a email before you booked.

A wonderful large comfortable home in Palm Springs. Lots to do nearby. We enjoyed the hiking and the museum. Spring wildflowers were in full bloom. Very comfy beds, luxurious bathrooms and nice outdoor living spaces. Hope to come back soon.

We had a wonderful time i...

We had a wonderful time in Palm Springs in the house on ElAlmeida. It suit our need and was very comfortable. Wish we cold have stayed longer to enjoy the views and warm sun. The backyard is lovely ,truly a pleasant stay

Why they chose this property

Ruth Hardy Park Area of Palm Springs is were all the stars bought homes in the 40's 50's and so. Our House is on the same street as homes where Heddi Lamarr and Bob Hope lived. It is a couple of blocks from homes owned by Lucille Ball, Frank Sinatra, and Bing Crosby among others.
This area of Palm Springs has no problems with the high winds like some of the other areas here in the Desert maybe that is why they pick this community.

What makes this property unique

I love the warm sun and the dry heat with little or no humity.
I also Love teaching people about the hidden gems that can be found around the town and area it takes some one that lives here to know the hidden secrets.
