#5 Casita Victorio at the Catwalk, 1 BdRm Casita Kitchentte
This newly remodeled one-room stucco casita with a kitchenette is surrounded by the Gila Wilderness. This is our smallest and most economical casita. This unit contains one room with one queen-size bed and one twin-size bed, a mini fridge, toaster oven (big enough to bake a 12in pizza), microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker. The cabin has a full-size bathroom. There is a shared patio with a gas fire pit, table and chairs and a propane BBQ grill for your use. The casita is tastefully furnished with artwork depicting the local area. -Casita #5 and Casita #6 are located side by side. -The nearby adobe structure that house some of the other casitas was originally built in the mid-1930s during the Great Depression to house the CCC boys and men who worked with conservation and development of natural resources in the area, included the spectacular Catwalk. After the CCC projects were complete, my grandfather turned the building into his hay barn for our family's ranch. In 1998, my mother repurposed the hay barn into the some of the cabins that exist today. -The picturesque Catwalk National Recreation Trail is only an 8 minute drive past our cabins. As the river flows down the Whitewater Canyon, it cascades over huge boulders creating splashing waterfalls and hidden pools, magical places in our high desert environment. A variety of bridges traverse the incredible canyon with breathtaking soaring stone formation. The developed trail is 2 miles one way - and climbs upwards into the canyon. Parts of this trail were upgraded in 2003 for handicap access - it is wheel chair accessible to the end of the reconstructed trail, about half a mile one way. Beyond the developed trail, more rigorous trails lead into the Gila Wilderness. There are a variety of other incredible hikes that are not as frequently visited by tourists. I will be glad to send you more info on these as well. You will definitely need a vehicle to get to Glenwood and the Catwalk. From your cabin's front door, you can enjoy walking and biking up a nearby canyon and just leisurely strolling the tree covered local roads. -Thorough communication will ensure you have an easy check-in during your stay at the Double T Catwalk Resort. Maps of the Glenwood area and of the Resort itself will ensure you know right where you are staying. A lockbox is provided for self check-in so you don't have to be concerned with your arrival time. Dusk to dawn patio lights will always be on to welcome you so you are never fumbling around in the dark. I will be available by phone - call or text. Rachel, my assistant property manager, lives only minutes away from the resort if needed.

Came to view the nighttime dark skies and the Casita was exactly as advertised. The location is in a peaceful location and if you're looking for solitude, this place is it!

You need to bring food. No restaurants open during the week and no grocery store. Great accommodation, short distance to the catwalk. We really enjoyed our stay.
This place was in a great location and close to the catwalk. It was clean and had a cute porch to sit out on. Communication was easy and they were very helpful. I would stay again!

Thank you, Brittany! We are so happy to hear that you had a good stay! We hope to see you again!
We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. Nice quiet, peaceful place. A few negatives: The AC control too hard to reach. The dinning table under the bathroom window of the next door neighbor was awkward. They were using the bathroom for morning routines while we were eating breakfast.
