You will stay in the former 18th-century chapel, a private, independent property surrounded by 1.5 hectares, overlooking a landscaped 6-hectare park. You can visit Château Vacquey, built in the 18th century by Victor Louis, architect of the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux. Admire its magnificent view overlooking this park and its centuries-old trees. The secluded château houses a retirement home and was owned by Gustave Eiffel in the 19th century. He came to supervise the construction of the two bridges over the Dordogne at Saint-André-de-Cubzac. It was then that he added a first floor and a belvedere to this former charterhouse to create his office. Teynac Golf Course and its restaurant are 5 km away, with introductory lessons available. Tennis is 2 km away. The Gîte de la "Chapelle" welcomes you in an authentic setting, furnished with antique pieces and featuring a fireplace insert for your cozy evenings. On the south side, enjoy a beautiful shaded terrace, perfect for al fresco dining. Six adult bicycles are also available free of charge upon request from the owner for exploring the surrounding area. Inside, you'll find a functional kitchen opening onto a living/dining room, a pleasant interior patio, and three bedrooms (two double beds and two single beds). The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, and the wall-mounted toilet is separate. The cottage has city gas central heating. Optional: rental of sheets, towels, and kitchen linens. End-of-stay cleaning is available (€30/hour), but the cottage must be left clean in all cases. Rentals reserved exclusively for private individuals. Gas for cooking (if the hob works with this energy), water within the limits of reasonable consumption, a fixed price of 8 kWh/day of electricity.
