You will stay in the independent 18th-century former chapel, set on 1.5 hectares of private grounds overlooking a 6-hectare landscaped park. You can visit Château Vacquey, built in the 18th century by Victor Louis, architect of the Grand Théâtre in Bordeaux. Admire its magnificent view overlooking the park and its centuries-old trees. The château, set back from the road, now houses a retirement home and was owned by Gustave Eiffel in the 19th century. He came to oversee the construction of the two bridges over the Dordogne River at Saint-André-de-Cubzac, and it was then that he added a first floor and a belvedere to this former Carthusian monastery to create his office. The Teynac golf course and its restaurant are 5 km away, offering introductory lessons. Tennis courts are 2 km away. The "Chapelle" cottage welcomes you to an authentic setting, furnished with antique pieces and featuring an insert fireplace for cozy evenings. On the south side, enjoy a beautiful shaded terrace, perfect for al fresco dining. Six adult bicycles are also available free of charge upon request to the owner for exploring the surrounding area. Inside, you will find a fully equipped kitchen opening onto a living/dining room, a pleasant interior patio, and three bedrooms (one with a queen-size bed, one with a double bed, and two with two single beds). The bathroom has a walk-in shower, and there is a separate toilet. The cottage has mains gas central heating. Optional extras include bed linen, towels, and kitchen linen rental. End-of-stay cleaning is available (€30/hour), but the cottage must be left clean in all cases. This rental is reserved exclusively for private individuals. Gas for cooking (if the hob works with this energy), water within the limits of reasonable consumption, a fixed price of 8 kWh/day of electricity.
