Cutest Cottage
My family and I were really impressed with this cottage. You could tell it had lots of history. The property managers were so lovely. They messaged to make sure we were all settled in with no problems. Just everything about the place was perfect! We would definitely stay there again in the future.

If you ever dreamed of living in a farmhouse. This is the place.
The owners of this property thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The house was immaculate and decorated like Joanna Gaines did it herself. When we arrived we were greeted with a nice bottle of wine, some really yummy dessert bars and loaf of fresh sour dough bread. The fridge and pantry were stocked with all the basics to help prepare a meal. They had an amazing garden that they let their guest use. A coffee and tea station fully stocked. Comfortable beds with super soft sheets. I even peeked at the label to see the brand so I could buy some for my own house. At night they have twinkle lights throughout the yard. It was magical. This would be the perfect place for and extended stay with your family. There are so many things to list about this property that made it special including the owners themselves. When we departed a suitcase accidentally got left behind. A major inconvenience for them but they got the bag back to us with a smile. Thank you Kitty and Carson for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Hi, Carson and Kittie here! Welcome to our Airbnb site, we are excited to tell you more about this property and a bit about us as hosts...
I'm a Montana native and Kittie has been in the Gallatin valley 25 years. We raised our kids in Bozeman and very much love this growing area of Montana. Country living, live music, great dining options, not to mention skiing, Yellowstone, world class fishing, endless hiking and biking options… I could go on forever about how amazing it is to live here. We are so grateful!!!
We have a passion for art, architecture, and design. I (Carson) studied Architecture at Montana State University many years ago and continue to develop my carpentry and design skills. Kittie has had a love of design and art since her early 20s and it shows with the amazing décor both inside and out. Kittie also has an obsession for gardening. She loves flowers, flowers, flowers!!! Also, enjoys growing herbs and vegetables. As anyone familiar with Montana climate knows, growing gardens in this area is as tough as the early homesteaders had to be.
In addition to running Mountain Studio Design, Carson is an executive at a Montana based wildfire company. Kittie is a licensed professional counselor and career coach.
We are so excited to share our home with you! We are striving for excellence in our role as an Airbnb host. Whether you are coming to Montana for the first time or are a Montanan looking for a weekend getaway, we want you to enjoy the Churchill cottage as much as we do. Feel free to reach out to us if you have questions regarding our listing. We look forward to meeting you!

Why they chose this property

The Churchill cottage belonged to Kittie’s parents and is close to our hearts. Our kids have so many memories of this special property and the remodel of the cottage and gardens has been a labor of love. We have spent the last two years finding just the right balance of vintage pieces at estate sales and thrift stores, and more modern pieces found during our trips (pre-covid) to Seattle, San Francisco and New York.
We have enjoyed many weekends at the Churchill cottage enjoying the birds, flowers, and the stars. We consider it our home and cannot wait to share it with others!

What makes this property unique

Churchill Cottage is just 20 minutes from Bozeman, Montana, 15 minutes from the Bozeman Yellowstone International airport and 1.75 hrs. from both the North and West entrances of Yellowstone Nation Park.
Located in the farming community of Churchill, the home is surrounded by serene gardens and porches with shaded privacy. Amsterdam & Churchill are two rural communities in today’s rapidly suburbanizing Gallatin County. The Manhattan Malting Company was mostly a New York City venture which in the early 1890s, established an industrial base on the Northern Pacific Railroad. The company purchased 13,000 acres and convinced hundreds of Dutch farmers to come to Gallatin County and work the land.
A perfect blend of relax and unwind, with all the local attractions and conveniences just minutes away. This home has been meticulously restored to feel like you are at home, with plenty of space for a romantic retreat, business trip or family vacation.
In the summer months you can enjoy the garden, patio, and fire pit. While in the winter, enjoy a nice soak in the outdoor hot tub while gazing at the stars. This property is an anchor point for a trip to Yellowstone National Park and the many other amazing destinations around SW Montana. It can also be a nice quite getaway when some much-needed downtime and unwind is desired.
Churchill Cottage is a beautifully restored cottage built in 1935. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a large sprawling yard, bountiful garden and is artfully decorated with an eclectic mix of furnishings.
