The road leading to the cabin was very tight, im glad we didn't have another car coming. Parking very tight. Porches were great! Even saw a bear.

The road into the cabin is a little narrow but that's very typical of roads in the mountains and there are only a handful of cabins on our road, so traffic is extremely minimal. We are so glad that you were able to see the resident bear on your trip and that the porches were fully utilized since they are a great way to take in all the fresh air and beauty of the area.
Everything was as described in the listing! We had 6 kids and 6 adults and had plenty of room to spread out and hang out. The kids enjoyed the variety of games (and hide n seek!). Adults enjoyed the desk space and hot tub. We were low on towels at check in but owner was super responsive and had towels to us ASAP. Perfectly situated between Gatlinburg and Dollywood so it made the drive to our outings minimal. The house was in a lovely wooded area and we could barely see other houses nearby. Will definitely stay again!

We absolutely love hearing about the memories being made from multi family guests! So glad everything was as described and that you were able to enjoy so many of the amenties including the hot tub and games. The location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is definitely a perk. We're looking forward to welcoming you back "home" in the future!
Everything you could ask for at a home away from home. Very clean and comfortable. Property owners were very easy to communicate with and very responsive. So happy this couple decided to “rent out” their home.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your home away from home! We take great pride in our property and love that others are able to make themselves comfortable and go home with lovely memories!
It was an awesome house kids had plenty of things to do. We only watched tv once during our 5 days. Everything was clean, all kitchen items there for our use, big enough house that everyone had a level to themselves. We would recommend the house to anyone and the people who owe the house have been awesome!!
Nicole was an amazing host! We had an issue with the hot tub and she sent someone out to fix it as soon as she could. She even checked on us afterwards. The property is nice and well maintained. The teens loved having their own separate areas to play and sleep. We would love to return to Big Bear in the future.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cabin as it had all the space, amenities and luxuries that you could want, and all at a great location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. The game room with pool, foosball, video games, large screen TV and sitting area was perfect and the large hot tub on the deck was a big hit as well. The kitchen had all the cookware and utensils we needed, though it could have been a little better stocked with basic condiments. But overall it was great time in a beautiful cabin and we highly recommend it!
Nicole was an amazing host giving my family and I with our fur babies the greatest weekend retreat we could ask for. She was quick to respond and easy to work with for the booking. The place was spacious and had 4 levels. It was great for our family who had brought 3 dogs who loved to play and roam. The hot tub was awesome with the Jets and the play room was great for the boys to have guys night. I can’t thank Nicole enough for this amazing experience.
The cabin is very nice and clean, close to most of the attractions. If you are patient you might even see a few bears in the area . The property manager stays in touch with you through out your stay to make sure everything is going smoothly.
The location couldn't have been better, basically halfway between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg making access to either very easy. The accommodations were great for our large group, plenty of space and everything we needed to make for a great vacation!
I can’t complain it was a great stay. Only problem was the master bedroom bed too small. Everything else was amazing a lot of space. Hot tub and Jacuzzi was great, game room was fun.
For our Family Time, all went very well. I was continuously in contact with the owners and given very clear expectations of who, what, where, when and why. Enjoyed our stay and definitely recommending this to others.
Everything went smooth from check in to check out. We enjoyed a great thanksgiving meal, the kitchen had everything we needed.Be sure to check the drawer in the island,it was a couple of days before we discovered it. We had 11 family members from 1 to 70 and everyone was very comfortable.

I'm disappointed that this is the first we are hearing of your issues since you did call before you arrived to ask questions and we did send a message through the platform to check in and make sure everything was up to your standard. The lines of communication were open and I wish you would have reached out. If we would have been notified during your stay we would have sent the cleaner over right away to make things right as we take pride in offering a clean and enjoyable place to stay.
The cabin is great for young large families. We had 3 generations. The stairs are a little steep for grandparents. Plenty of room and tv in every room to keep all happy.

We do disclose that stairs are required in our listing, we're sorry that they were a little much for some in your group. Glad you enjoyed the room to spread out and the tvs!
Rented here for a family reunion and was not disappointed . Everything was very clean and the location made getting into Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg very easy. Wonderful weekend and very nice retreat.

About the host
Hosted by Nicole Schroeder
We are the Schroeder family and we have been traveling full-time since September of 2017. We started out traveling exclusively in our rv, but fell in love with short term rentals when we explored Europe in 2019. We have been to all 50 states and over 10 countries as we seek to learn more about the diversity that makes each place unique and special. This cabin is a family passion. We are teaching our children about construction, basic repairs, budgeting, hospitality, compassion, and loving others well. They are involved in this property and we hope that they will grow to love hosting as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We have been all across the country in our travels and found that we kept coming back to the Smoky Mountains because we love the area so much. Staying in a log cabin nestled among the trees on the mountain side gives us peace. This is where we come to take a rest and reset. The hot tub and game room are our favorites. This is where priceless memories are made and we wanted to offer that to others when we were out exploring.
What makes this property unique
The location of this property is something that we love. You are in the middle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg so there is easy access to both. If you are exploring both in a day you can go one way, stop for lunch or a nap, and then proceed to the other city.
The three levels of decks are so appreciated for morning coffee, mid-day relaxation, and nighttime chats.
The wildlife watching is fun here as well. We have been able to see a bobcat, multiple black bears, a racoon, turkeys, and plenty of birds and squirrels.
This cabin is authentic with a great location.
