Fall at Anne's Mountain Retreat

Nice location in proximity of West Jefferson and Lansing. The Lansing Creeper Trail Park was nice (go to the other side of the creek for a more rustic walk) and Mount Jefferson State Park Luther Rock spur had some fantastic views. The fire ring was great for morning/evening fires. Thanks for a great weekend! Jack and Lucy

Quick trip to the mountains

Just a quick getaway to enjoy West Jefferson and play a round of golf. We truly enjoyed our stay. The place was just the size we needed for just the two of us. You can tell it was remodeled and was clean. It had a decent size tv with Netflix. Good view and nice outside seating area with a firepit. The only complaint I had was the water pressure in the shower and the showerhead was super low for a six foot guy.

Dustin thanks for your feedback. Being short, I had not thought about the showerhead being low! I ordered an extender to make it higher. When you return it should be much better! Glad you enjoyed your visit!

Mountain retreat

Lovely remodeled older home, out in the country. It was really cold while we were there so we did not get to enjoy the firepit. But the gas heat, inside, kept us toasty. There is a Dollar General within walking distance for things you may have forgotten. The cute little town of West Jefferson is nearby, with many antique and specialty shops. We had a nice relaxing 4 day stay taking day trips to West Jefferson, Boone, Blowing Rock and Valle Crucis. We topped it off by picking out our Christmas Tree on the way out of town.

Great stay other than tv issues. Course that was made up. I suggest cutting g down apple tree on left going in give room turn around to get out. Also add a blind to front door.

The house was very comfortable, quaint and cozy.

The owners were very responsive to a problem we had and they took care of it immediately. This is a great location except that it sits atop a very busy state highway and the noise level from the traffic (trucks, haulers, motorcycles, loud mufflers, etc.) was terrible. The house has a great front porch and view and we were looking forward to spending time out there just taking it in. But many a conversation was interrupted because of the noise level. By the end of our 2 week stay we were exhausted by it. If you plan on being gone all day and not planning on being outdoors at the house, this would probably suit your needs. I feel bad about this review because there is nothing the owners can do about it but I also feel renters should know the problem. For that reason, and that reason alone, we cannot come back.

Ann's Mountain Cabin

Ann's Mountain Cabin was a great place to relax . The view of the mountains was beautiful from the front porch. The cabin was clean and just right for us. There are lots of things to see and do. Gem mining was my favorite and antiques shopping was fun too.

Wonderful Memorial Day Stay

My husband and i had a fantastic trip and loved our rental !!!! Dealing with the host was so easy and we really appreciate that. The house was so nice with everything you need and more. I would recommend this home if you are looking in this area. West Jefferson has a lot to do. Hated to leave. Linda & Bill
