About this property

The recently renovated Chalet at Edson is close to everything Stowe has to offer, centrally located just a 7 minute drive from both the activities and amenities of Stowe Mountain Resort and the village of Stowe, with a 2 minute walk to the Mountain Road shuttle bus. Close to nature, excellent restaurants, the mountain, biking, walking and x-country trails, it doesn't come better than this.

The chalet comprises a kitchen, living room and dining area. Sleeping arrangements are a master bedroom on the first floor with en-suite bathroom, and two further bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. There is also a guest cloakroom on the first floor, providing plenty of bathrooms for everyone.

Guests have access to and exclusive use of the entire house. We can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 6 adults, plus two children.

Relaxing Getaway

The location of this property was perfect! It was right between town and the slopes. The beds were very comfortable and we felt tight at home. The host checked in with us to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Experience!

Cozy, perfect location! Last minute trip for two nights with our two college age sons and family dog. Perfectly located between the village of Stowe and Stowe Ski Resort. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and very clean. Helen was AMAZING to work with as we were having yr with the app. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Great Stowe Getaway

The house is conveniently located off Mountain Road - close to town and the mountain. We just stayed overnight, but it had everything we needed. The three bedroom home was perfect for me and my wife and three of our adult children. The host Helen was great, always available and responsive - very easy process. Loved the local beers she supplied for us in the fridge. A really nice house - we would use it again.

The perfect getaway!

I just recently stayed here with my husband, 2 small dogs, my parents and my brother for a family vacation. I wasn't sure what to expect because I've only ever stayed in hotels. Well, I was pleasantly surprised! The check in and check out process was very easy. Helen remembered I was traveling with 2 dogs and she provided a towel for each of them and dog bowls. I wasn't expecting that but I can tell you that was thoughtful and I appreciated it. The chalet is so incredibly cozy and it feels like home. There are 2 full bathrooms and 1/2 bath which is connected to the living room. This definitely came in handy with 5 people under one roof. There are plenty of board games and cards to play for a night in. There is also a backgammon and chess table. The bedrooms are very spacious and also cozy. Me my husband and my 2 dogs slept on the first floor master. The bed and sheets are SO COMFORTABLE which I am not used to with regular hotels. There are blackout shades in the bedroom which helps block out light in the morning. The actual location of the chalet is out of the way but still very close to just about everything. The first night we arrived Helen sent me a text making sure everything was to our liking and even suggested some places to eat for dinner. I highly suggest this chalet. Mark and Helen are incredible hosts. Thank you so much for making our 2023 family vacation so lovely! 10/10 would recommend.

Great Location

We loved being so close to the beautiful bike path and all the shops in Stowe. The house is very clean and Helen is very accommodating to any need. And it was a nice touch having complimentary treats left in the frig.

Originally from the UK, we fell in love with Stowe, Vermont during a couple of vacations here and purchased a holiday home in 2012 to enjoy skiing in the winter and the beautiful summers. We relocated here in 2017 full time. We are a family of 5, including two active boys who make the most of the outdoor activities available in Vermont and our super smart dog, Einstein.

Why they chose this property

The Chalet at Edson is in a wonderful location, close to everything that Stowe has to offer, but with a feeling of being away from it all. With three bedrooms (including 5 beds) plus two and a half bathrooms, there is plenty of room to accommodate two families or a group of friends.

What makes this property unique

Our location, exactly half way between the village of Stowe and Stowe Mountain Resort maximizes opportunities to enjoy everything Stowe has to offer. The location feels secluded and remote, but is just a few minutes walk from restaurants and the mountain road.
For families, we are happy to reconfigure the bedrooms to provide a kids room and two double rooms for parents.
We also have a garage/shed to house bikes and other equipment you may bring with you.
