About this property
"The Dory" on Penobscot Bay, Mid-Coast Maine
Looking over Penobscot Bay, "The Dory" is a perfect place to relax and enjoy island life. Set on a dead end street in a quite neighborhood it is easy to connect with nature either in the hammock, on the lawn or on the beach. The screened in porch has a great view of the bay to watch the sunrise or sunset. We can put you in touch with a local fisherman for some fresh lobster or mussels.
This comfortable setting offers a galley kitchen, open living space, screened in porch to enjoy morning coffee and evening sunset and high speed internet. Just across the lawn is a private beach area to look for loons, hawks, bald eagles, seals and other wildlife. We are continuing to update the cottage, so check back for new photos as we get it ready for summer.

About the host
Hosted by Mike Clayton

My great-great grandfather came to Islesboro in the 1800 and built a number of houses in the neighborhood. I was born and raised here on the island. My love of the water and sailing took me away for 20+ years sailing private yachts all over the world. Since then I have returned home to take over the family business of building custom homes.
