This house was perfect for our vacation! Our kids are 15, 11, and 7, and we had my mother-in-law with us as well. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and the kitchen/dining area was big enough for all of us to eat together. The kitchen was stocked with anything we needed, and the house was spotless, even though we know a group left the same day we arrived.The main feature of the house is the view. We had an amazing unobstructed view of the ocean, which can be seen clearly through the picture window in the front room. The house also has a wooden deck with furniture, so sitting out there at night and listening to the ocean became a nightly ritual. The house is private, and Searsport is an excellent place to stay. There is a supermarket just up the road, and many food options within a 15-minute drive of the house. We took a day trip to Kennebunkport, which is about 2.5 hours from Searsport, and we also visited Augusta, which is about an hour away. The scenery throughout the state is amazing, so the trips don't seem nearly as long as they are.Our host was fantastic and we had no issues during our week at all. If you want to just shut the world off for a bit and watch the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, this is an excellent place to do that! Thanks for the opportunity to stay in this beautiful part of the state!
