About this property

Mountain Peaks Inn, BEAR MOUNTAIN SUITE, Downtown Hill City

ROOM DESCRIPTION
Mountain Peaks Inn is family owned and operated. We are conveniently located on Main Street in downtown Hill City. This home has four separate suites, three with external entrances and one with an internal entrance. All guests have access to a large front deck with charcoal grill, and small metal fire pit.

Bear Mountain Suite is a beautiful interior, second-level, log-accented suite which sleeps two (2) on a king pillow top bed. Bear Mountain Suite also includes a full bathroom with a tub/shower, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, coffeepot, tv/dvd, Roku Stick, and AC. The front sitting/viewing area is a log-railed loft, which is open to the foyer below, but visually private because of the turn in the stairway. This loft is a great place to relax with a partial view of Hill City and a morning cup of coffee, and is exclusive to Bear Mountain Suite guests! Make sure to visit us at our in-house coffee shop, Caboose Coffee.

Visit to Hill City
A very nice room and just what we needed for our visit. Our host was warm and engaging and the location of the rental allowed for easy walking to dinner around town.

Percection
My wife and i were looking for a quick roadtrip to somewhere we had never been. This location was ideal for being able to drive a short distance to see the sights. The coffee shop was phenomenal and fairly priced. The locationwas also perfect as you are in walking distance to the main strip for dining, shoping, and everything else the town has to offer.

Loved this comfortable room.
We stayed two nights in Hill City. Great central location from which to explore the Black Hills. The room was tastefully decorated with mountain/western theme and very comfortable.

Awesome Experience
Even though we could only stay one night (instead of the planned two), we had a great time. The room is decorated perfectly for the location. Such nice ambiance. Very comfortable. We wish we could’ve experienced the coffee shop, but the timing wasn’t right, hopefully next time!

We are the Stucky family. We are blessed to call the Black Hills home. We home educate, own and operate businesses, enjoy traveling and exploring new places.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Hill City when visiting the Black Hills in the summer of 2015 and again 2020. We stumbled upon this beautiful home, which was remodeled to accommodate four guest suites. Now, we have the privilege of calling Hill City home. Although we recently took over the management of this property in 2021, these cabins have been available on VRBO since 2013.

What makes this property unique

This home is in the heart of Hill City and is walking distance to shops, galleries, restaurants, the Black Hills Central Railroad's 1880 TRAIN, and the popular MICKELSON TRAIL. Mountain Peaks Inn also features Caboose Coffee Company.
