About this property

2 King Suites, 2 Queens, 3.5 Ba, River Views, Deck. Bicentennial Park 209

General’s Quarters (209) is situated steps from the river with views. This newly renovated 3-level home is a perfect (and spacious) gathering place for families and friends alike. The home includes 4 bedrooms and sleeps 8 easily (2-King with each own full bathrooms, 2-Queen bedrooms that share a full bathroom and a half bath on the main level)

We're located near all the festival action and easy walking distance to Main street and all the bars and restaurants. Clifty State Park is a short few minutes' drive on the east side of town.

Our home is, in my opinion, located in the best location in downtown Madison. You can walk out the door to - the river, festivals, bars, restaurants, the Heritage Trail, and more.

You will need your car to get groceries up on the hill (8 min drive) - Kroger and Wal-Mart or to get to Clifty State Park.

Super
Wonderful place to stay, clean, great location, well furnished and equipped. I am from Madison and my friends love to go up from Louisville for a weekend. There were four couples and we all loved the accommodations. Kelly responded back to my questions quickly and allowed us to check in early. Would recommend and plan to return.

My husband and I fell in love with Madison several years ago. We discovered General's Quarters in 2017. It was a tired 5 apartment building. We knew it needed to return to its original glory so gutted it and brought it back to a 3 story duplex. We love sharing our homes (209 and 207) with our guests and hope they have a great time and want to come back real soon.

Why they chose this property

Built in 1830, we fell in love with it's brick and history. We love the location - south of Main St near the river and central to town.

What makes this property unique

This property was built in 1830 and owned by a Civil War General. He married a local gal. We completely gutted the homes while keeping the historic charm and added modern amenities.
