What a beautiful and quaint old home on the River! Although the weath prohibited us from enjoying the outdoor areas, we all enjoyed sitting and watching the river as strang as that sounds. Pleanty of places to relax and enjoy. We never felt like we were too confined, and we loved the historic notes around the house. Thank you for the wonderful relaxing time.

The town was far more remote than expected. We had to take our own Christmas decorations for the holiday. The house was nice and well kept.
This is an excellent location with anazing views. The house is amazing, its old but well maintained and if interested you can discover interesting facts about the family that owns the house. Grocery stores are a bit far so come prepared. This is definitely a place you can stay long term. We plan to come back again next year.

From the owner:"Thank you so much for being excellent guests."
4 of us came from NY to celebrate the 60th birthday of brother that lives in IN. It was a great place to have a low key get together with the 6 of us and share time with each other.
Lovely view of the river and water traffic. The house was well maintained and comfortable. The owner was responsive and helpful. It was a great weekend.
Everything was perfect. The home looks as good as in the photos. It was fun learning the history of this restored gem. How many rentals are owned by the same family after over 100 years? We really felt at home!

Great home for getting away from it all.
This is truly a historic home, both inside and out. It is a very quiet spot, with lots of windows and a porch overlooking the Ohio River. Everything is provided; everything was clean . Furniture is very comfortable. One can imagine the past lives of the inhabitants as one sits there watching the river boat barges slowly moving along.
The only negative, at least for us, is that except for two restaurants with very limited hours, all other restaurants are a 40 minute drive away in Madison. My wife likes a vacation without having to cook.
