About this property

Spacious Barndominium with Wifi, Hot Tub

Six bedroom Barndaminium sleep 16+ people. Our property is perfect for family events and allows plenty of space for everybody to spread out. The mezzanine 2nd level has five twin beds.  Our first floor has three bedrooms and a large open area, living room, kitchen, dining areas, two bathrooms and a 1/2 bath/laundry room. Our third floor has three bedrooms, a living area with the movie projector and a bathroom. We also have a large open hallway for viewing the valley lights. Also, as part of our Texas hospitality, you’ll be on horse feeding duty during your stay :)

When you leave, Tidy up the house, take ALL trash to outside bins, start the dishwasher, and make sure doors are locked.

Very nice place

Home was very clean and nice. Property well maintained and the owners were friendly and attentive. Nice, quiet area very near to Waco and activities there but calm and peaceful. Would stay again.

Family friendly fun

We enjoyed a fun family weekend with my parents and my sister's family. We had 6 adults and 3 kids and were able to spread out all over the house. There was so much room! The kids loved playing with all of the toys and getting to feed the horse. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful, comfortable stay

We had a wonderful time staying at this home! There’s tons of space to relax and eat. We enjoyed feeding the horse. The kitchen has all the things you need. Our kids loved the large yard to play in. We enjoyed the hot tub and quiet neighborhood. The host was readily available to communicate with and made sure our stay was seamless. We loved it!

Spacious Beautiful Property

This house was perfect for us - we had 2 couples, then 2 more adults plus kids. The property is beautiful, we enjoyed the hot tub and there were so many snacks and stuff to cook with! There are a ton of extra beds but they're twin sized to accommodate for more kids. The beds that the adults slept in were super comfy, too! Loved this house!

Wonderful Waco Weekend

Nancy & Rodger are a 10 out of 10 for hospitality, friendliness and customer service. Their Beautiful barndominium is relaxing, well decorated and enough room for everyone. The kitchen alone has everything you need. It’s very well stocked. We all had a GREAT time. I’m looking forward to hopefully booking again. ❤️

Made for the perfect family get together

We rented this property to stay at for my mom‘s celebration of life weekend. It worked out absolutely beautifully to allow us to all stay together under one roof to share our past memories and make new ones. One of the things I liked best about the property was how the rooms were spread out so if people wanted to go off and sleep or needed to be in a quiet area, they could easily do that, because of how well the house was designed as well as constructed. I would highly recommend this place, and the owners were so great to work with. No issues whatsoever and really a beautiful house and setting. Would love to stay there again!

Beautiful home and property

This was a beautiful and roomy home which sits on a beautiful property! It had everything we needed and then some! It was beautifully decorated and felt very welcoming! The bluebonnets were in full bloom and made a beautiful backdrop for our family portraits! We had constant commutation with the owners and everything was exactly as described! We would highly recommend this place to everyone! If I could give 6 star rating I would! We will definitely stay here again! Thank for allowing us to stay in this home and celebrate our family milestone birthdays! 😊

Fun Labor Day weekend

We were staying for our annual friends trip. The house is very nice and big. You can tell Mr. & Mrs Davison put a lot of effort into the house. They are super nice and even left food and water for us in the fridge. They provide a lot of from hand wash to food staples. Great communication and we get the chance to feed their horse Regan and she was super friendly. 10/10 experience. Highly recommended!

Family and friends Birthday get together

Bluebonnet Run exceeded our expectations! We had family and friends from multiple states together for a 40th birthday celebration for our son. The home was clean, inviting and spacious. It was fully stocked with anything we needed or may have forgotten from bathroom items to kid stuff and food. Our grandchildren ages 1 thru 6 enjoyed playing with the numerous toys in the toy cupboard. We also enjoyed the home theater which had many titles to choose from for adults and children. They even have a gaming system. We spent many nights stargazing and socializing on the large quiet back porch. Everyone enjoyed going out to see Reagan the horse while she was being fed. This is just a short list of whats available! Our hosts Rodger and Nancy were very communicative and left detailed notes in addition to being available for any questions. We would definitely recommend Bluebonnet Run!

Welcome to Our One-of-a-Kind Stay Near Waco, TX!

8 years ago, my husband, Rodger, and I took a leap of faith—we sold our family home near Waco, TX, and transformed our horse and goat barn into the home of our dreams. Our goal? To create a space where we could live our best life while sharing it as a unique short-term vacation rental.

Rodger has had sawdust in his blood since his twenties, working in construction in his hometown of Houston. With a degree in Design and Drafting from South Arkansas University Tech, he carefully designed and built this home from the ground up—a project that took over two years, from the initial plans to the final touches.

About nine months in, life threw us a curveball. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and had to pause for surgery and treatments. But by God’s grace, we made it through, and Rodger picked up where he left off, completing our dream home in late 2019.

This home is still a labor of love, constantly evolving, and we feel so blessed to share it with guests from all over. Whether you’re here for a peaceful getaway, a family gathering, or just passing through, we hope you feel at home and enjoy the special touches that make this place unique.

We fell in love with this area because it offers the perfect blend of peaceful country living and convenient access to nearby cities. One of the things we love most is the scenic view—our back deck overlooks our horse pasture, and beyond that, rolling hills and beautiful trees stretch across the horizon, creating a relaxing and picturesque setting.

While we’re in the country, the area is safe and family-friendly, with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. It’s not fancy, but it has that warm, welcoming charm that makes you feel right at home. Plus, with quick access to I-35, you can enjoy the quiet of the countryside while still being just a short drive from Waco, Temple, and all the attractions they have to offer.
