It has several personal touches and is close to the major Seattle attractions. The cottage also looks out onto a private fenced-in backyard with west facing windows that allow plenty of natural daylight. Be sure to take advantage of the backyard amenities and a ductless AC unit when Seattle does have sun!

The space
The cottage is a studio that can comfortably fit 2 people but accommodate up to 3: King-sized bed along with a convertible queen sized couch bed. The kitchenette also will provide the basics: fridge, microwave, dual stove top burner, toaster, hot water heater, Kuerig along with complimentary coffee & tea. It is also equipped your own private bathroom/shower with shampoo, conditioner, & body wash included. A guest favorite is the 62 inch big screen tv with complimentary access to Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime.

The shared backyard is fully fenced-in and has plenty of space to enjoy when the weather permits. A new privacy fence was added for guests can enjoy the lounge area, outdoor dining table, fire-pit, hammock (late spring/summer), and grill. The voice-controlled patio lighting also adds a great ambiance at night. If working remote, you can leverage the high speed Google nest wifi along with a desk surrounded by windows allowing plenty of natural day light. Inquire for use of a large eternal monitor (HDMI input) during your stay.

The stay is close to Lincoln Park, Alki Beach, and approximately a 20 minute drive to downtown. It is within walking distance of local coffee and pub with great bar eats and is also situated along a local bus line with a direct route to downtown. Overall the location is central to many popular Seattle attractions.

Super clean and charming
Gian is a host who cares to make every little thing right. The bed is large and comfortable and all the amenities--like excellent coffee! -- are there. The place is just a bit small, with the bedside table somewhat hard to access. But I'd come back for the charm and quiet.

West Seattle
We stayed at Driftwood for 5 nights. The outside area is lovely and I really want to come back when we can enjoy it. Sadly we hit the monsoon season!! The inside of the cottage is so cute! Everything we needed!! We will be back!!

Short Getaway
The proper was clean and information was communicated very clearly. The owner was also very quick to response to any questions or inquiries. The commute was very reasonable to any of the typical tourist attractions in Seattle.

Convenient Cottage
We had a great stay at Gian's driftwood cottage July 2023. It's cozy with great amenities & the private yard makes it feel much bigger. The bed & couch were comfortable and the Keurig coffee was nice. Parking in the alley was tight for a modest half-ton truck (19'l x 6.5'w), but still worked - better for a smaller 4-runner sized suv or compact car. Recommend!

Has Potentail
Had a long weekend stay with two kiddos. The property has potential but needs some TLC. The shower in particular had some mold and a large gap in the shower door so when you shower the floor gets wet. Duct tape is used in several areas where minor repairs are needed. Would have loved to have a sink near the fridge to wash minor dishes had to use bathroom sink. The backyard was very nice and relaxing. The bed was comfortable. The host was attentive.
