West Seattle Driftwood Cottage - Firepit & Gazebo

The Driftwood Cottage is a private guesthouse offering a quiet place to unwind with easy access to the city. Inside you’ll find a comfortable king bed, a large TV, a simple kitchenette, and a private bathroom. Outside, enjoy your own fenced yard with a fire pit, gazebo, and outdoor seating. A great coffee shop and neighborhood bar are right on the block, and direct transit makes it easy to get downtown or to the stadiums. Ideal for couples or solo travelers looking for a relaxed home base!

The space
Driftwood Cottage is compact but thoughtfully laid out and best suited for one or two guests, with the option to accommodate a third on the convertible couch.

The king sized Casper memory foam bed is a guest favorite. The kitchenette is stocked for simple meals and includes a fridge, microwave, dual burner stovetop, toaster, hot water kettle, and Keurig with complimentary coffee and tea. The private bathroom has a walk in shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided.

For work or downtime, there is a desk with high speed Wi Fi and a 70 inch TV with Hulu, Amazon Prime, and other streaming apps.

Outside, guests have exclusive use of a fully fenced backyard with a dining table, gazebo, fire pit, grill, and seasonal hammock. Patio lighting and added privacy fencing make it a great place to relax in the evenings.

Lincoln Park and Alki Beach are nearby. Downtown Seattle is about a 20 minute drive, and the bus line just steps away offers direct access to downtown and the stadiums.
Guest access
Guests have a private entrance via a paved alley with keyless smart lock access and a personal entry code. Covered parking is included directly next to the cottage. The backyard space is reserved for guest use.

My sister had an absolutely terrific stay at this property and enjoyed it very much. She said it was super comfortable, especially the bed, and that she also really enjoyed the outside area hanging out in the little backyard. Lovely cozy cottage

The space is prett well designed so that you feel comfotable. The bed was comfy and the back yard was very nice, including a firepit.

Qaint and cozy. Very Clean. Nice outdoor amenitites. Located close to public transportation and a great breakfast/coffee spot. The host was superb with assistance with; ferries, water taxis, local points of interest, and timely with responses to questions. Highly recommend.

Great Property, Great Location

The cottage was everything we needed for our stay. Quiet, comfortable, good local food within walking distance. It's also on a direct route to downtown without hitting any tollroads. Easy drive from the airport as well. Gian is a great host, we won't hesitate to use this spot on a future trip.

Cozy Indoors & Outdoors

Just enough space for what we needed; cozy and comfortable inside, with lots of outdoor hangout options even in the small private yard. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great. It was easy to control the climate. The kitchenette was well stocked had all the basics to get us started. The quiet neighborhood has a coffee shop (good baked goods!) and small restaurant in walking distance (other end of the block), too.

Short Getaway

The proper was clean and information was communicated very clearly. The owner was also very quick to response to any questions or inquiries. The commute was very reasonable to any of the typical tourist attractions in Seattle.

The Driftwood Cottage

It was a wonderful stay, and an excellent property! We had a great time, the place (which was adorable, by the way) was exactly as pictured, and the communication with the host was smooth as could be. Don’t hesitate, just book it! You won’t regret it. :)

We stayed at Driftwood for 5 nights. The outside area is lovely and I really want to come back when we can enjoy it. Sadly we hit the monsoon season!! The inside of the cottage is so cute! Everything we needed!! We will be back!!

Convenient Cottage

We had a great stay at Gian's driftwood cottage July 2023. It's cozy with great amenities & the private yard makes it feel much bigger. The bed & couch were comfortable and the Keurig coffee was nice. Parking in the alley was tight for a modest half-ton truck (19'l x 6.5'w), but still worked - better for a smaller 4-runner sized suv or compact car. Recommend!

Super clean and charming

Gian is a host who cares to make every little thing right. The bed is large and comfortable and all the amenities--like excellent coffee! -- are there. The place is just a bit small, with the bedside table somewhat hard to access. But I'd come back for the charm and quiet.

Cozy and Clean

The property was very clean and the check in process was made easy. The check out process we made easy as well. There were clear instructions typed inside the room as well as online. There were plenty of amenities. Plenty of room to sleep as well. I was looking for something closer to the airport, but the location was very close to a shipping center. Overall I was happy with the trip and the location was easy to find. I loved the king sized bed!!! We would definitely stay again!!

Cozy Cottage in Attractive Neighborhood

We were in Seattle to visit family and were fortunate to find this small cottage to use as a base and sleep. Gian was easy to reach whenever we had questions, and the neighborhood was clean and quiet. The cottage was well supplied with towels, soaps (even dish soap) and small appliances. It was a warm weekend and the AC worked great. The Google speaker that played music on command was a nice touch. We definitely recommend Gian's cottage. A final note-if you smell pizza baking the restaurant is right around the corner, plus a nice coffee shop.

Nice quiet neighborhood retreat ⭐️

Getting around Seattle in the summer can be a challenge so on this trip we decided to stay in Westside Seattle. It was a great choice. The Driftwood cottage was a nice place to stay away from crazy downtown hustle and bustle! It was quiet and comfortable.😴 Gian was right there if we needed anything and his suggestions on restaurants were spot on. We loved The Birdhouse fir great coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches 😋Zipping into town for the Mariners game was a breeze. We will be back. 🤗
