Rejuvenation for the soul

If the sound of the surf, solitude on the beach, and gorgeous sunsets are what you’re looking for, this is the place. The home is a modern, minimalist design with some touches of playfulness in a custom table that serves dual purpose as a ping-pong table. Design lovers will appreciate the high-quality teak cabinetry, gorgeous tile and clever layout. Hundreds of pelicans and gulls will entertain directly in front of you on Gull Rock. Bring binoculars for birding and whale watching. The kitchen gear is high quality but minimal; don’t look for a zester or serving platters. No grill, and I would be reluctant to start a fire in the small pit if the conditions are dry since there is always a wind. The leather sofa is perfectly situated to tuck yourself in the corner with a book and watch the sea between paragraphs. There’s a wonderful local grocery store in Manzanita, 15 minutes away, and gourmet dining at the Stephanie Inn 15 minutes way in Cannon Beach. The life-size nude drawing begged renaming from “Rockaway,” so we have nicknamed the trident-wielding picture of a goddess on a mound of fish skeletons “There’s More Than One Fish in the Sea.” Arch Cape would be wonderful for a couple, a few close friends, or a week of repose and solitude. One of my favorite homes I’ve ever rented. Extremely communicative host. And thanks for not having signs all over the place of what guests can and can’t do. It felt like staying at a friend’s home. Top rating.

Wonderful stay!

My wife and I had an absolutely lovely week at this beautiful property in Arch Cape. The house is beautifully appointed with incredible views. The beach is about a 2 minute walk and is incredibly quiet and peaceful. I'll add that the owner-Don- was easy to contact and incredibly helpful. We are already planning our next trip to Arch Cape.

Nirvana!!!!!

We LOVED our stay in paradise! The house is impeccable, beautifully designed, very modern and clean. The owner is extremely responsive and nice, and made our stay lovely! We really enjoyed every minute, and will definitely come back. Waking up to the view of the ocean and endless sky really is incredible. All the amenities to make it so comfortable and perfect. If I could give it 6 stars, I would:) Thank you!
