Haystack Haven is all about cozy nestling right in front of Cannon Beach's iconic landmark, Haystack Rock. Located at "the curves," this charming cottage's impressive views are some of the best in town.


Surrounded by nautical decor and beach-y comforts, views from every room draw you into the perfect beach-cottage experience. The front entry invites you into the open dining area, the nostalgic farm table awaits diners eager to watch the sea with their breakfast meal and cup of coffee. In the snug, cheery kitchen just to the side of the dining area, the view is still just a glance away.


To the right of the dining area, the living room frames a hallmark view of Haystack Rock. Nestle into the comfy sofa in front of the gas fireplace, or piece together a jigsaw puzzle at the game table. Depending upon the season, you may spot a circling eagle or fluttering puffin above Haystack, or watch the drama of crashing waves against the rocks. The sofa opens into a Queen hide-a-bed.


Down the hallway from the dining / kitchen area are the two bedrooms - the master bedroom features a Queen sized bed, while the other bedroom sports two Twin beds. The bathroom showcases beautiful tile work with a step-in shower, and in-floor heating. At the end of the hallway, an ample laundry room features a full size washer and dryer.


And just to make sure you don't miss that view, the new up-dated deck with glassed rails provides a wonderful escape for soaking up a memorable setting. Only a block from beach access, the restaurants, shops, and galleries are just a beach-walk away.

This was a fantastic "base" for my friend and I to explore Cannon Beach and nearby towns. Great view of Haystack and gorgeous sunsets, but also walking distance to the beach and to the town shops. Clean, spacious, and comfortable; full kitchen, heated bathroom floor (!) and laundry was super convenient. Clear directions, easy entry, and a helpful rulebook made out stay easy and stress-free. We also appreciated the day before phone call to ensure we had no questions or issues. We would love to stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family spent a week at the amazing Haystack Haven (2nd time/repeat renters) and loved it. The first time our family enjoyed Cannon Beach our kids were 10 and 12 and we made lots of sandcastles and ate lots of taffy. This trip to Hatstack Haven gave our family, kids now 21 and 23, their own space and a perfect landing spot for happy hours and cards on the deck, home cooked meals (even they shopped and cooked!), and comfortable beds for all. We love Haystack Haven, and while it’s nothing fancy it’s absolutely perfection and offers everything you need. Thanks for welcoming us back! We’ll see you again soon to kick off our Sandy flip flops, open the Willamette Pinot and enjoy another sunset over the Rock!

What a gorgeous and I would say cozy location! Truly overlooking the haystack. The view is spectacular clean cozy vibe comfortable for three people fireplace and the living room overlooking the haystack Beach location. Beautiful spot!

This was great rental in terms of location, view, proximity to town and other house features. The house was very charming and the view of Haystack incredible. Some house features were nicely modernized; however, for the high rental rate there was an expectation of better overall conditions. For example, the shag carpet is outdated, two of the lamps did not work, some of the furniture was worn and outdated, and the ironing board was decades old (and showed it). The TV use was complicated and not functional per the use guidance provided. Fortunately the rental agent came by once notified and figured out a way to make the cable work. In spite of the above comments we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being in this house at this incredible beach location.

The views are everything with this rental. The home was really clean except for a few small things but overall was ideal. The main bed was comfortable and it seems they got a new couch which is very nice! Don't forget to pack your spices/oil as this is a very cleaned up space (unlike some rental homes where extra spices etc are left behind.) 10/10 would stay again!

There are not enough fantastic words to describe this property. The pictures are 100 percent accurate. Lying in bed at night you can see the Haystack so close as you drift to sleep. We ate all our meals in the living room or on the deck so we could take it all in. The communication was great (thank you Jen!). The place was clean and there was a designated parking spot right in the front. The steps to the beach are very close to the property. This was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. A perfect 10

What a beautiful view. It could not be better. The home was older but completely remodeled. It looked just like the pictures—maybe even better. The host responded to requests and delivered missing items within 30 minutes. The beach was within walking distancer a short drive if you could not manage the steps. One night, we cooked in and enjoyed watching high tide cover all the haystacks except the large one. We could see all the way to Tillamook Tilly Lighthouse. Parking was tricky but manageable. It felt like walking into your own beach home. I loved it. If I return, I will rent it again.

It is just a short walk down to the beach where you can explore all the tide pools near Haystack. It even came with some wildlife visits in the backyard. Would highly recommend for a cozy beach getaway.
