Step across the street and enjoy Kamaole Beach Park II, one of Maui’s best swimming and stunning beaches. Revel in the spectacular sunsets or stroll along miles of white sandy beach at “first light.” Kihei Akahi is ideally situated and offers excellent value. This one-bedroom vacation condo features a private lanai, a cable TV, a telephone, free high-speed WiFi, a washer/dryer, ceiling fans, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a complimentary, in-suite safe. A tennis court and barbecues can also be found on the property’s beautifully manicured grounds, in addition to ample free parking. Enjoy a cool swim in one of the two pools. Great shopping and a variety of restaurants are also just minutes away from your doorstep.

* The Kihei Akahi property mandates that all guests occupying condos must empty the AC condensation drip pan on a daily basis to prevent overflows. Please contact Vacasa for additional information.

There was mouse poo in two places. Stains on the white towels. Pilot light was not lit and batteriea in remote for tv were dead.My cleaning charge was regunded still disappointed.

Excellent Location

The location couldn’t have been better! Quick walk to an awesome beach as well as restaurants and shops. Condo was clean upon arrival. Beach equipment was appreciated but the chairs could use an upgrade and adding a cooler would be fantastic (we had to borrow from friends who had an extra in their condo).

Desperately Needs Upgrading

The property is beautiful, but the condo is gross. The upholstery needs a hard shampoo. The screen in the door is coming out. The towel rack is loose. The toaster almost caught on fire. There is a stain on the wall by the bathroom that looks like pee.

Kihei Akahi was Perfect

We have been to Maui many times, but this was our first time in Kihei and the first time we booked a condo. The unit was very clean with easy access to the beach and the shopping area. Having the refrigerator and washer/dryer in the room was Extremely convenient. Being able to gather with friends inside, or on the lanai, with a cold drink and munchies was Wonderful! There was plenty of silverware and plates for all 7 of us. One of the things we all commented on, was the cross-walk light right at the end of the drive into the complex and how nice it was that vehicles actually stopped for the pedestrians. The beach was calmer than where we usually stay, but there were still plenty of turtles, fish and coral to see. All in all, a Great Vacation at a Very Good Price!

We are so happy others still share a piece of their Maui.

We love Maui and especially this location as it is safe, familiar and quiet. We always look to stay at Kihei Akahi because it is near most necessities. It is across from my favourite beach on Maui. It was a little different stormy weather this January but this brought waves and shore break that my kids could boogie board with little effort. We got to see many turtles this year. Usually they swim by in the ocean but one was sleeping on the coral right next to beach 2. We also got to see one of 8-10 monk seals who live near Maui on a beach on the way to Lahaina. I love Hawaii especially Maui and want to support those effected by the fires. My kids did Jujitsu at the Lahaina school that was spared from the fire. Wish we could do more but we have our luggage now plastered with Maui strong and t-shirts which donates to those affected. I loved the fully stocked kitchen meaning pots, pans, cutlery, cups with even salt and pepper. Would definitely come back. The lowest level this unit is on allows you to have access to the pool very easily and not have your unit heat up with the hot sun.

great location

We absolutely loved the ground floor location and proximity to the pool/ bbq's. If we had been on any other floor we would have had to exit from the other side of the building and walk around to access the bbq area which isnt always easy while carrying food :) The proximity to the beach was a plus for us as well for sunsets and early morning walks. We prefer a couple other beaches south of here for great snorkeling and what not, but those are just a short drive away. The condo itself is a bit outdated, but we dont go to Maui to hang out inside so it fit the bill for us. There weren't any BBQ utensils so we made due with the plastic spatula. My only real gripe about our stay was the lack of toilet paper, paper towels and dishwasher soap. We arrived to one and a half rolls of toilet paper and one and a half rolls of paper towels. We had a 15 day stay and there were only 6 dishwasher pods for the half size dishwasher. I contacted Vacasa to inquire about at least getting more dishwasher pods and they said they only provide a "starter kit". The small amount of toilet paper was definitely not what i would consider a starter and for the price we paid, a dishwasher pod per day stay should have been provided. We had to buy more of course and left behind the rest as well as several rolls of toilet paper. I wonder if the next tenant will get the benefit of it or if it gets pulled to leave just the "starter kit".

Great location, comfortable unit

Walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants, and centrally located so you can take advantage of both south and north ends of the island by car. Bed was comfortable, TV had Netflix, kitchen had all the utensils/dishes/cookware we needed. Beautifully landscaped complex with friendly staff and other guests (plenty of Canadians actually), the ground floor lanai was very convenient for going to and from the BBQs and pool area. Grab bar in the bath/shower combo, wheelchair accessible if needed.

Nice, clean, and comfort place to stay

This one bed room apartment is spacious and full furnished. Four beach chairs and one beach umbrella are provided. The complex has more than 30 different plants. We can enjoy a great botanic garden just walking around the complex. The only thing the property manager can do better is to provide sufficient amenity supplies. We stayed seven nights. However, only one and half rolls of toilet papers, one hand soap, one body wash, and one shampoo were provided. We have to call the property management to get more.

Great location just across the street from Kam II Beach. Close to shops, restaurants & stores. Very clean, AC & full kitchen. Lower level made for a nice view out back, right next to the pool. Surprisingly very quiet considering all the visitors. Definitely a great place to stay!

If you know your way around Kihei, you should easily be able to find the property management office, which is off-site. This particular condo was in a good location for walking to stores and restaurants, and had a nice layout. There is no sound-proofing, so if you`re in a bottom floor unit like I was, be prepared to hear everything your upstairs aredoing. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`
