Chestnut Ridge - NEW RENOVATION in 2019 - This home has been completely renovated - resulting in an intriguing combination of contemporary appointments and vintage architectural features. The wood floors and original moldings have been retained, giving warmth and character to the home. Chestnut Ridge is very convenient to All Star Village, Baseball World, Hartwick College and SUNY Oneonta. Main Street shops and restaurants are all very close!
There is an easy flow from living area to dining area to the kitchen. All of the necessary modern conveniences are included. The entryway is a glassed-in sun room. An open 15 x 24 deck is just off the kitchen - an inviting area for outside dining and relaxing.
All four bedrooms and one bath are located on the second floor. Another bath is off the common areas on the first floor. There are hardwood floors throughout the common areas and carpet in the bedrooms. Contemporary wall décor creates a welcoming ambiance.
Take time to read the fascinating story of the D&H Railroad - which is displayed in the dining room - a tribute to your hosts' father who had a long career with the railroad in Central New York.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chesnut Ridge. The proximity to All Star Village was awesome. The property was clean, nice and welcoming. The host was quick to reply with all questions we asked. We wish we new they had a wagon, chairs, and umbrella in advance as these are all awesome things to have if your son is playing at ASV. Property was great though and I would highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is clean and smells good! Kitchen is well-equipped with pots/pans/dishes. The owners are very communicative and helpful. If you are not good with stairs, this property may not be for you, as you do have to climb a flight of stairs from the street level to the front door. Overall, highly recommend!

Perfect home-base for larger families/groups in Oneonta, NY

We rented this property for four nights to attend our daughter’s college graduation nearby. The location was perfect! Spacious bedrooms and common areas, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. The sunroom was perfect for relaxing and storing extra luggage for my family and organizing my college graduate’s things after moving out of the dorms. Kitchen had everything we needed, and the laundry room came in handy. Check in process was a breeze. The reserved parking across the street was convenient for our two cars.

We rented Chestnut Ridge for our ASV week. The location was PERFECT, just a few miles from the field. The house was idea for 2 families with our own bedrooms and full bathrooms. The house was immaculate and stocked with everything we could possibly need for the week. Communication with the owner was spot on- he even purchased a blender for our morning shakes! I've already passed down the location to friends for next year. Thank you!!!

Highly recommend staying at this home for your Cooperstown tournament. Carl was so wonderful to work with and assisted us every step of the way. They had supplies like chairs, coolers, cart, umbrella, fans and more to make it so easy to be ready for any weather and not have to pack everything yourself. The house was comfortable and spacious. And it was 5 min from the fields and even less to Main Street for some good food. I wish we had another CTown tourney, we would stay here for sure! Thanks again!

Awesome Home away from home!

The house was magnificent! It was very clean and organized. The beds were super comfortable. You really felt like you were at home. It had everything you could possibly need and then some. Being able to park directly in front of the house proved very useful. They had everything a baseball family would need which was awesome for us. We have to come back in two years to Cooperstown and I definitely plan to rent here again!

All Star Village Ultimate Gryphons

We had the experience of a lifetime! We came for week 2 of All Star Village and the house was very close to the park. It was clean and nice and had plenty of room for all 6 us to stay comfortably. We were very close to restaurants. The host responded quickly to questions and even had chairs and coolers available for us to use! Definitely would stay again. Loved the baseball pin display at the house entrance and the map with the location of where past guests were from.
