The building was built in 1891, and has served as retail first floor and the top two floors as YMCA, and for many years the local Elks Club. Now it has five modern up to date apartments. All close to the downtown action of beautiful Alpena. Amazing Downtown Apartment, walking distant to everything Alpena has to offer. Within a four block circle you will be able to eat, drink and shop. All within a safe and comfortable walk. Within three miles from the hospital and schools. This is a second floor apartment, must be able to walk a flight of steps.

I am the owner of the Bannan Funeral Home next door to this Alpena historical building. I have wanted this building since my purchase of the funeral home in 2006. It has been maintained well. It is the best place to stay while in Alpena.
