Charming property with pool on the border of Burgundy, near the Loire

Welcome to our house: a building from an old farm transformed into a vacation home from the beginning of the 20th century. Witness the garden with rare and century-old trees, the cement tiles and the old stones that adorn the house.
Charm and comfort: with the natural freshness of the old building (50cm walls), the large convivial spaces of the house are very pleasant. And the equipment has been recently refurbished (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom).

The 5 bedrooms upstairs can each accommodate two people (see photo). 2 additional extra beds are also in place:
Bedroom 1: garden view - 1 double bed
Bedroom 2: valley view - 2 twin beds
Bedroom 3: under the roof slope - 2 single beds and 1 extra bed
Bedroom 4: view of the garden ( pass-through room 5), 2 single beds
Bedroom 5: 2 single beds, double exposure and double access either from bedroom 4 or from the outdoor terrace via a pretty stone staircase (very romantic!) - 1 double bed and an extra bed

A bathroom is upstairs with a separate WC.
A bathroom is on the ground floor with an integrated WC.

The kitchen adjoins a large dining room with a large table to eat together.
The kitchen is equipped (oven, hob, sink, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, espresso-type coffee machine without capsules (Smeg model type restaurateur).
A washing machine is also available in a shed.

The living room is in a separate room. It has a TV, a wood-burning stove and a games cabinet.

A children's playroom is also open to the garden: a table football (plastic, this is not the adult version), darts, and a rich library of comic book classics: tintin, lucky luke, ...
In the garden other games are available: balls, badminton, pétanque. The garden is open (without continuous fence).

And when a storm has broken out or the sun is too strong, the house is also full of indoor games.

In case of big heat, the swimming pool will refresh you. The pool is large, unheated and treated with salt. Inflatable material is available on site (one rule: you break, you replace).
A landing net is also available for any leaves or insects that might bother you.

The garden is very pleasant and well equipped: barbecue, terrace, garden table and chairs, hammock, natural shade from trees, cabin for children.

Baby equipment available on request.

A parking location for 2 to 4 cars is located next to the house.

At the village:
Saint Denis de Cabanne has all the shops: Traditional bakery and butcher, restaurants, pharmacy, supermarket, press, hairdresser...
Larger supermarkets are also very close (10min).

For the surroundings:
The walks near the house are very nice, the distance can be adjusted as desired.
The landscape is hilly with pretty groves, cut by streams. You can both discover during your walks or hikes, a generous nature sparse with meadows alternately occupied by sheep or beautiful Charolais cows.
On foot or by bike, both are very pleasant.

In addition, the region invites you to discover the Burgundian heritage:
- an architectural heritage (Charlieu, its medieval shopping streets and its abbey, the Burgundian castle of La Clayette or the castles along the Loire.
- And a culinary heritage: Charolais meat (perfect on the barbecue), Beaujolais wines, cheeses and farm products and the famous local pralines.
For gourmets, starred restaurants from 1 to 3 stars dot the region (in Pouilly sous Charlieu - Restaurant de la Loire*, in Ouches - Le Troisgros***, in Ambierle - Le Prieuré*)

For more sports, the following activities lend themselves perfectly to the region:
Cycling in the hills,
Hiking/Cross on the trails,
Fishing in the rivers or in the Loire (be careful to buy a fishing license),
Kayaking in the Loire and its canals,
Parachute jump in Roanne (be careful, activity to be booked)

As a family, time will pass very quickly, it is a house that has always participated in creating good memories. We would be delighted to share it with you as we do the rest of the year.
