Sugarloaf Condo H4 has unique features only seen in the 3 bedroom condos. Being located on the back side of the resort, your views are drawn to both sides. Sugarloaf Mountain alone has plenty of character but the views it provides from the top are breathtaking.

Two bedrooms are on the main level with a queen in the master and 2 sets of bunk beds in the other. Each bedroom has a full bath. Upstairs has a spacious living room, another full bath and ladder to the private loft. Take your pick which balcony to enjoy first.

Check in was very easy and our host was very responsive. We had plenty of room for our 10 (adults and older kids) to sleep and we were close to many great beaches and hikes. The kitchen wasn't huge, but the family room area was big enough for us to all sit around a game. We made it work to cook for 10 and I would definitely go back.

Well I didnt want to leave a bad review but since the owner dosent want to make it right this is what happened. When we got there we had no hot water and had to wait til the next day for someone to come out and fix it. When we went to turn on the lights 50% of the light bulbs were out. Went to turn on the tv and batteries were corroded . They did drop off batteries and bulbs the next day. All the dishes were filthy and we couldnt get the dishwasher to work until the 3rd day. They were not concerned. Apparently there was a guide book for the place but it was no where to be found. I said I couldnt find it, I got no response about that. Went to put the fireplace on that didnt work and apparently it is a non working fireplace, so don't list the fireplace as an ammenity. Who wants to go to the mountains and not cozy up to a fireplace?? They threw chairs in front of it as if to deter from using it. I could go on about the condition of the place but I will end with the sidewalk not being shoveled and sevral of my guests falling because of it. I reached out several times for compensation and have gotten no response. Hopefully these issues will be resolved before anyone else stays there.

Not quite what we expected

The pictures do not depict the condition of the furnishings and rooms. The chairs have tears, the washing machine was falling a part, the bedroom tv had no connection, messaged the host with no response. I hate to say it but it Was not worth the cost.

Nice Owner...

The good news is the owner is very nice and was responsive before and during our stay. And because of that I hesitate to write anything negative about the property. However, there were a few cautionary flags regarding the property that I would want to know if I were renting in the future. I honestly feel most of these issues below have to do with the current cleaning crew - so maybe with a change in that area, a future experience would be different! First when we arrived, we were locked out. Thankfully the owner was nearby and available, but the check-in process was not very smooth. Second, I would say that the property was not very clean. While it had been vacuumed etc, there were areas that could (should) have been dusted. There were wet towels left in the washer and sheets left in the dryer. But probably most bothersome was that I had to wash any dish prior to using it. The supposedly "clean" dishes in the cupboard needed attention before using them to cook with or eat/drink from. The third detail about this location that I would want to know as a renter is that the kitchen was not stocked very deeply. I would just want the heads up that it only has the basics - so be sure to pack something like a 9x13 pan or tin foil if you are planning to cook there. And finally, it is advertised that the pool is a "heated" outdoor pool. Our crew didn't care that the pool was cold. But if you have young kids, you may want to know that from our perspective - the pool was "refreshing," not heated.

Convenient to sleeping bear dunes!

This property was very convenient for doing the area around sleeping bear dunes. It had plenty of room for the 12 of us and provided a comfortable stay. Check in check out was very easy and assistance was available if you needed it.

Great place and location

We had a great time! There were 10 of us total, 8 adults and 2 kids (12 & 9). Great property, kept up nice, everything there and clean. Sleeping for 10 was ok, not sure we could have slept 12.

Ideal location to day trips throughout Leelanau Peninsula

Layout worked out great for our family trip. As you enter the door there are 4 bunks and a bathroom and up a few steps you will see another bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom. Up a few more steps is the living room and up another set of steps is the kitchen and full bathroom and up just a few more steps is another bedroom with a very comfy queen bedroom. Condo also offers two nice decks but no seating so bring your own chairs. Overall our stay was very nice
