Great Location, very secluded. This would be a great place for families to stay and enjoy the outdoors. Plenty of canoes and kayaks for fishing and the porches are perfect for enjoying the mornings and evenings.
Such a lovely cabin, and so relaxing. The porch is wonderful! I especially enjoyed the hammock chairs, and have a kayak was the cherry on top!! We will be back
This was perfect for our girls trip. We explored the lake in one of the provided canoes and loved hanging out in the screened porch & just catching up with each other. We definitely plan to come back.
Ohmygoodness! If you want to stay in the bayou, THIS is the place! Weve never been to a bayou before, and the noght noises were amazing! We hoped for an aligator, but we only saw bubbles...and we were still thrilled!
Quiet and cozy All in all was very similar tothe Listing as well. If I had to nit pick there were a few things structurally that needed some attention, but was easily looked past. Was also very pleased to see that the hosts had fully stocked the kitchen with utensils.
We were in town for cheer competition and found this place lovely! Very clean, close to everything and the MOST comfy beds. We cooked for ourselves and enjoyed the back in closed porch to enjoy a glass of wine after a long day. Will be coming back for a longer stay
Just what we needed to take a breather and relax. Came for just 2 nights but they were amazing. Basically no phones and no tv, just my wife and I and the sounds of nature.
Took the holiday weekend to celebrate my birthday with friends. The cabin itself was great and the location was a short distance to shreveport and a nice national park to hike at. Overall was a great experience!
The property was a blast and absolutely stunning! Enjoyed the great cabin, wildlife and we caught some good sized fish. Lots of activities available on site, enough to stay there the whole time but lots of cool places like the Louisiana Boardwalk to explore nearby. Jennifer is fabulous!
I have a 11 year old and 15 year old that absolutely loved the canoes and fishing. I brought my camera and hit some great photos of the kids with the beautiful views around the property. The host was great and responded to any questions I had. We would visit again.
We just spent 3 nights in Diana’s Cabin and feel we found one of those “Special” places that are few in life. The setting cannot be beat; the view, the peaceful feeling and the sense of tranquility will stay with us always We plan on returning again and again. Diana was always quick to respond to questions and provided a great overall experience. Thank you Diana!
My wife and I chose this area for our 21st wedding anniversary and I did not disappoint. The lake with cypress trees was gorgeous along with the peace and quiet. The Cabot had everything we needed and the sleepnunber bed was definitely an added plus. Location was very close to local casinos and historic Jefferson,Tx. Thank you for making this anniversary one to remember. The Perez’s
Spent 2 nights over Columbus Day weekend with our 2 teenagers at this sweet little cabin. The cabin is nice and cozy and has everything you need. Beds are comfortable, the screened patio is perfect to have your meals and enjoy the sounds of the swamp around. There is a firepit on the little peninsula behind the cabin were we spent most of our time outdoors. We also used the kajaks that were provided to get out on the lake and it’s really beautiful to go through the trees. Overall a great little vacation spot to enjoy nature around you.
We were staying in a hotel in the Shreveport area and had problems with the noise level there. Luckily I found a last-minute opening and we moved to the Emerald Cove Cabin. The property is rustic and eclectic but offers modern comforts. Working during the day was great since the internet is solid enough for voip. The sounds of the surrounding wildlife from the screened porch in the evenings are amazing. Hope to stay again next time we visit!!
This place is AMAZING!! Easy check in- check out. Fabulous lake access, kyaks, wonderful screened-in porch, the kids loved the bunk beds and trundle bed. We were impressed by the secluded area, but with enough parking space for our jetski and truck. The nature was so calming at night. The hosts.... can't say enough! Super responsive, addressed all questions so quickly and set up the most amazing space for our family. I'd give this VRBO experience a >10/10!! We will definitely return!
What a special place. So peaceful. It was the perfect getaway to recharge. The views of the water are breathtaking. The cabin is so quaint and cute. The cabin was clean and very homey. We had everything we needed to have the perfect weekend. The host was amazing as well. Wonderful communication. What a perfect place. Thank you again for sharing with us.
Stayed here during a fishing tournament. Very quiet and peaceful setting. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare own meals and appliances all worked. Bedding was clean and comfortable.
Had water pressure issues two nights so couldn’t shower both nights. Water in bathroom was.not working a couple mornings. I’m sure these issues will be fixed soon. Boat parking was difficult due to tight turning area around trees. Overall very good experience in the Louisiana bayou.
The propery was cute and welcoming. My youngest loved looking for frogs all day and my older children enjoyed the kayaks. Everything was provided that was needed. My only complaint was the amount of cobwebs inside of the cabin and the cleanliness of the grounds area. There were chairs tables and other items that seemed to have been broken or no longer in use that were just strewn about the property. Overall it was a peaceful place that just needs a little more work around the edges. Also, i am not from the area so it may be common but i was surprised to be able to see through many cracks in the boards for the flooring. We could see straight through to the ground.
What a great location! The cabin is right on the water. Plenty of boats and such if you want to take anything out. Plenty of life jackets in all sizes. We brought our 3 young boys and they enjoyed the freedom to be boys! Playing in the mud and exploring nature. Our 3 dogs came and both young and old were comfortable. The owner sent a list of places to eat and things to do with distance. At times water pressure went low, but not for long. There were plenty of seats to sit and watch nature. Kitchen had enough to cook and eat with. Property is clean and well kept. We love Cajun food and will be back! This was the perfect location to be close to the city but far enough away to feel a part of nature. Great place, highly commend for families or those with pets.
Great amenities, so much fun for the kids and teens. Beautiful and private, would be perfect for a multi family trip, but was great for us to spread out and have our local family come stay as well. Cabins are well-stocked, beds are great, and the owners are in town and respond to any blurbs quickly. Our kids are 3,7,13,15 and they all had a BLAST. We will be back. Super comfortable place, close to interstate and innerloop for getting around.

Hi! I’m Jennifer, Chris and I have been married since 1995, we have 3 awesome kids, and we’re very busy with everything! I own The Nanny Network & Sitters’ Registry, Chris is a Realtor, we flip houses, and now we own 5 cabins on Cross Lake, & 4 tiny cabins on Caddo Lake, 3 cabins on the Red River, and a historic home in Mooringsport close to Caddo Lake. We are so excited to offer our beautiful Emerald Isle because it is more than Cabins on a lake, it’s a total Louisiana experience!
Why they chose this property
We spend our summers boating on Cross Lake & have always wanted a cabin! When we found Emerald Isle, we KNEW it was special & people would love it! The sounds and scenery are a real, immersive, Louisiana experience! The view from Emerald Isle is very much like Caddo Lake with Cypress Trees out in the water and some on the island with cool cypress knees. Watching the Great Blue Heron soar through the trees and land is just majestic! Emerald Isle is quiet & tucked away from everything, the night sounds are exciting and calming all at once! It's a one-of-a-kind experience for sure!
What makes this property unique
We have Free kayaks, a paddle board, a canoe, a Jon boat & paddles & life jackets. We have games, fire pits, & charcoal grills. Guests love bird watching & gator hunting, bring your binoculars! Emerald Isle offers authentic Louisiana scenery right on the lake... Quote from a recent guest, “We ended up here by accident. We had reservations down on the Louisiana coast. We changed them to get away from (hurricane) Ida, I have been lucky enough to travel the world and the US. I have never been on a bayou until now. Last night on the porch was one of the most magical nights in my life. The sounds were incredible! Thanks for renting to us. Super excited for tonight. Cheers.” Emerald Cove, PGM- Merida, Yucatan
