I've stayed in the Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas area many times. This was the best place we stayed. Clean, quiet, and a nice walk to the beach. We would stay here again.
Location and gated community great for grandsons to ride bikes. Short walk to beach and pool. The air went out but management was right on it and ot was repaired quickly.
We had a great family vacation, a short walk to the beach, located in a quiet neighborhood, conveniently located next to a state park. We loved the large hot tub!!

Thank you all for staying with us! We are so glad you all had a great time! We would love for you all to stay with us again!
We loved this place! The house was spotless and beautifully decorated, with spacious areas that everyone enjoyed to the fullest. The balconies were gorgeous, offering wonderful views, and the beach was absolute perfection. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped, which made our stay even more comfortable.Overall, we had an amazing time. The only issue was the Wi-Fi — the connection was quite unreliable during the day. It did encourage us to spend more time at the beach and pool, but it was a bit inconvenient when we needed to join a couple of work calls. We would definitely love to come back to this beautiful house!
Great location. Walk to the beach or pool or just just stay in and enjoy the house. Perfect for morning runs, late night relaxing in the swim spa. Local restaurants and stores mins away and the beach is 1000’ walk away. The screened in sitting areas were perfect and lots of space for everyone to relax and enjoy the weather. Garage with extra storage and games for made it nice for the kids.
This is a new property. It is very well laid out and thoughtfully designed. It is also well stocked which is always appreciated. It is right next to the St. Joseph preserve and launch. Quiet neighborhood. You have a wonderful breeze from the gulf and can hear the gulf waves while sitting on the porch which is large and well thought out. Communication is very quick. We would stay here again in a minute!
We were traveling with
Our family and friends. We had two boys ages 4 and 8 and two twelve year old girls. The house was a great layout for two different families. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The swim spa was great for days after the beach to get warmed up. We spent a lot of time on the large screened porch. Our only significant complaint about the house is the condition of the bedding. Both sets of adults found the beds to be in need of new mattresses. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The beach access is pretty good for a quick walk but we used the state park for all day beach days due to much easier access when you have a lot of stuff. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.
We loved Cape San Blas. The house was clean. The location is also very nice especially if you are wanting to visit the state park. We found that the beach access at the state park was much easier to navigate than the one that was a block or two away from the house (steep stairs). Our family enjoyed the screened in front porch and the quiet street it was on.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice sizes. The layout is perfect for families. The kitchen has everything you need.
They definitely need more bath towels and kitchen towels. We did laundry almost every day.
There were a few issues that are easily fixable. Communication was less than stellar. I had to reach out a few times to Kyle for Check in information. This all could have been avoided with a simple email letting me know that he would not send the check in information until the day before check in. I had also reached out during our stay to inform him that the bunk beds were not usable because of how wobblily they are, two stools in the kitchen are not useable because they are broke. The remote the living room TV was missing. I still have not heard back from him.
Overall, the house is great (with the exception of the bunkbeds), but the experience could be a lot better with a little communication.

Thank you for noticing how nice the home was and how clean it was upon your arrival. I am very sorry that you feel like the communication was less than stellar. Unfortunately, I searched through my e-mails, texts and VRBO messages and I have ZERO feedback regarding any of the issues that you stated in your review. I am very sorry that you had the issues that you had and wish that you had contacted me directly to resolve any issues. Thank you again for staying with us!
Great house for two families. About 5 min walk to the beach. Biking distance to ice cream. Kids loved the hot tub and ping pong especially on a rainy day. Kitchen had everything thing I needed. And management was beyond helpful and incredibly responsive. Perfect week at the beach!
We had a great time and loved the place! We had to bring some towels with us because we read that there was not enough. There was NO propane gas in the tank so we could not grill. I reached out to the host with no response. Other than that, we had an overall wonderful experience.
We loved our stay at Mare Vista. We had all we needed and the management person, Kyle, was great to work with our wi-fi/internet issue to get it resolved quickly. It would be nice to have more bath towels and kitchen towels. We had to use wash cloths in the kitchen.
Great house for our first reunion with everyone in 4 years!
The layout was perfect for the 4 families (including 6 young grandchildren ) Everyone enjoyed the huge hot tub and the great screened in porch hosted everything from card games, to a birthday party, to imaginary dinosaur and princess “plays”. The owner had a new grill delivered while we were there and our 3 guys had a bbq “cook off” ! We were not missing a thing. We also enjoyed the pool after days on the beach. There was a mix up with the pool code but once that was straightened out we used it daily.
There were 2 things that made me mark down just a little. One was the walk to the beach was quite a ways and up some steep stairs . With tent and chairs and children it would’ve been easier to have an access we could drive up to and leave a vehicle .There was a lot of construction going on around the access so children had to be watched closely. Of course all that not the fault of anyone just more description to that aspect probably would be good.
Also, the owner leaves a personal car in the garage on one side (which we did not expect) and there’s a ping pong table on the other so basically the garage is unusable for renters cars , golf cart or boat storage. It wasn’t a huge deal but we could’ve used another parking spot as my son brought his small boat. Feel that this matter ( that renter would not have use of garage space ) should have been mentioned in the house description .. Outside of that (which is a small detail) it was a perfect week
Needs more and better bath towels! We reserved for 11 and only had 10 towels that were not great. Didn’t know that we had to ask for sheets for sofa bed. Kitchen well stocked. Didn’t realize that Wi-Fi would be such an issue. Beautiful bay views. Nice pool. Hot tub was a real
bonus. House had large wagon, but most if the chairs were broken. Thankfully, I had asked and we had out own. We love the area.
I stayed here with 4 of my adult friends. The house was very clean and comfortable for all. There is close access to the State Park boat launch, which we used for a great weekend of fishing. The hot tub was awesome for the cooler spring nights! I highly recommend
Great vacation house! Outstanding location and the layout of the house is perfect for families and friends. It's an easy walk to the beach, which is secluded and open. All-in-all, a perfect vacation place.
We very much enjoyed staying at this property. It is only a 6 minute walk to the beach. The walk way to the beach is a little hidden, but a sign would help with that. The hot tub was a hit unfortunately only the hot water worked most of the jets and the swimming feature did not work. The house was very clean though some of the covers (chair and bed) were stained and needed to be replaced/cleaned. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook with ease. The codes were wrong for the pool access, and the garage. The garage was never accessible even after a call to management to have the garage code fixed. We felt very safe and never felt the need to lock up our belongings (kayaks, boogie boards, etc.). One hundred percent I would use this location again, this is a wonderful place for a family vacation. This is our third year going to Cape San Blas and this house has been the best we have stayed at to date.
Great location to the state park and very clean. All the beds were comfortable and extra blankets were nice. Very comfortable for a group and love having TVs in every bedroom.
The porch was nice as well. The water initially had a strong sulfur smell that went away after a few days. Could use stronger Wifi as it was hard to watch even one TV at times. Would stay here again.
The home was wonderful, our family had a great time. The layout worked well for our family and we loved this quieter area of Cape San Blas. The screened in porch was a favorite hangout, as was the hot tub. I appreciated the well stocked kitchen. We hope to return. Grateful for such a delightful experience.
