The town of Labin is an ideal starting point for excursions to Opatija, one of the most famous places in the Kvarner Bay, with well-kept street cafés and a long promenade for long walks. If you have enough time, don't miss the islands of Cres and Loinj, which can be reached by ferry from Brestova. Istria is known for its excellent cuisine; we particularly recommend the stockfish, mussels na buzara style and the Istrian pasta fui or a barbecue platter with various types of meat, served with a glass of Malvasia white wine, should round off your holiday perfectly.
