Light and airy this historic home is perfect for a restorative family vacation in traditional Point Clear, Alabama. The home is beach front with a private sun deck, front and back rocking chair porches and adjoins the Grand Hotel Grounds. 10 minutes to downtown Fairhope! Kayaks for the bay and bikes for the boardwalk are provided. Come and be restored! Ideal for 2-3 families. Left and right sides have a master and kids bedrooms. The private upstairs has a huge bedroom and its own full bath. New deck at ground level.

It was such fun and a happy time. Most of us are familiar with the area and so felt comfortable. Out of town family stayed in a home just two houses north of the Grand Hotel and another family stayed in the hotel so there was much back and forth on foot and that added to the overall happy time.

Absolutely Amazing!

We loved our stay at the Historic Tucker House. Jane & Dennis were fantastic Hosts and answered any question we had within minutes if not seconds. We were so happy to walk out the door & see The Grand right next door & be able to walk around & enjoy the amenities. The Tucker House had everything we needed for our week stay(even a baby bed, changing table & high chair) Jane is ready for everyone! We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Absolutely Wonderful House for a Most Relaxing Getaway!

Last week our family (comprised of 4 adults) stayed at The Historic Tucker Bay House ... and absolutely LOVED this house and its property! We had not traveled anywhere for well over a year ... and wanted to go somewhere where we could recharge ... eat seafood ... stay by water ... not have to deal with elevators ... and visit dear friends in Mobile. Our kids found this place which was just the right place for us. It would be good for any large group, too ... or even two families. That's because the lefthand side had a master bedroom with a queen bed and a bedroom with two twin beds with crib and changing table ... with full bathroom with shower. On the righthand side there were two bedrooms ... one with a double bed and the other with two twin beds ... with a full bathroom with tub. Another plus is this property is definitely adjacent to The Grand Hotel ... you can walk down the sidewalk and within just a few steps be right on that property. I read somewhere else that a bride and her family stayed at this house for her wedding at The Grand Hotel ... it would be so perfect for that! From the information given to us upon arrival we found out that two rooms of the house had been schoolrooms back in the 1860's ... yes, parts of it are that old. Because of that we had a good time looking at the pictures inside The Grand Hotel looking for this particular house back in the day. Please know the house is so open and welcoming ... large screened-in porch and other large gathering areas inside. Like our daughter said while we were there we felt like we were staying at a friend's house who offered it to us for our vacation. And Dennis, who helps Jane Tucker with this house, would answer any questions we had very promptly ... a joy to work with. Our experience was so much more than we ever expected!
