Lovely Fall Tahoe getaway
The condo is well located to Tahoe City and easy access to hiking and activities. The weather was cold but the fog lifted and sun came out by noon making for pleasant fall hikes, strolling Tahoe City or enjoying a nearby tree adventures park. The condo was basic but had a great view of lake. Beautiful sunsets on the lake nightly. It was a bit hard to get the heat /fire place just right. Ground floor was freezing often but plenty of blankets to stay warm while sleeping. Enjoyed the bathroom heat lamps. Kitchen had all the basics and we enjoyed cooking in many meals. Would recommend nightlights, tissues, and a chair or bench near the entryway to put on coats/shoes more easily. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and had clear instructions in the house. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks foe the lovely fall getaway.

Great value for the money
Not quite sure what this Max character is talking about but this condo is a fun, very clean, great value for you to rent, and we had a great stay!!! The lake is right outside the front door and only a hop, skip, and jump away!! We would recomend this condo to anyone who wants to have a great stay and a terrific time in Lake Tahoe!! We will be renting again next year!!!

Non-Responsive Owner and Very Dirty Carpets
Rented this house for 9 days for a family vacation. Unfortunately when we arrived there was an intermittent odor in the downstairs master bedroom that appeared to be a drainage/sewerage problem. Despite emailing the owner 3 times there was no substantive response other than to be told that we should leave if we were unhappy with the condition of the property. We were never informed by either the owner or the maintenance person what was causing the problem, or if it had been resolved. The property is close to the lake and fairly spacious - but is worn out and in need of a thorough cleaning and update to make it comfortable. In particular the carpeting is dirty and stained, some of the furniture had been repaired but was not safe to use. and the kitchen was grimy. Overall, there appeared to be very little attention given to the comfort and satisfaction of the renters. There was also zero response to a letter addressed to the owner detailing these concerns at the conclusion of our stay.

Perfectly Quiet
Amenities are great. Everything works! DSL and or Wireless works! TV works! Everything in the well equipped kitchen works. Furniture is clean and comfortable. Beds are comfortable. The unit is located in the back of the complex so 40 steps outside your door is the dock and the lake. We did lots of hiking and bike riding. Next winter we will be using it for a skiing lodge so to speak. It was like being in a home away from home. We will be going back. The price was extremely reasonable and competitive. We used to go for best price and learned that you get what you pay for. Only half of the appliances worked, and I had to pay a non refundable fee to get the internet working. We feek we scored with this place.

Our family has been vacationing in Tahoe City at the St. Francis Condominium complex for the last 15 years. It is a quiet and family oriented complex. We love the feeling of getting away and yet being less than an hour from our home in Reno.

Why they chose this property

Our family recently purchased this property from the original owner. We love spending time in Tahoe City. You can relax at the condo and swim or sit by the water and read. The pool has a nice hot tub as well. Tennis is available and so is sand volleyball. It's fabulous to sit by the lake and watch the sunset. In the summer, we usually park our car and walk or ride everywhere. The condominium complex is right off the bike path so you can easily ride bikes into Tahoe city (about 1 mile) or further to Sunnyside, Alpine or Squaw. There is great hiking you can walk to directly from the condo. Three parking spots are provided plus a guest spot so parking isn't a problem. Tahoe City Marina also offers boat, SUP and kayak rentals. If you have a boat you can launch it right next door at the Lake Forest Boat Ramp. Finally, most summers you can raft down the Truckee River. There is a rafting company which offers raft rentals in Tahoe City. I recommend buying your own raft at a gas station or drugstore. It's much cheaper and more fun. You begin the rafting journey in Tahoe City and complete it at River Ranch Lodge & Restaurant. Depending on the river flow it takes about 2 - 3 hours. A fun way to spend a day on the river.

In the winter skiing is within 15 minutes to Alpine and Squaw and about 25 minutes to Northstar. We do offer monthly leases.

What makes this property unique

The location of this condominium makes it special. It's about 30 yards from the beach front of Lake Tahoe with partial views of the lake. Tahoe City is only a mile away for dining, board rentals, yoga, grocery or whatever you may want to do while vacationing. Tahoe City offers a variety of activities and restaurants. Commons Beach is a fun place to hang out. Sunday's from around 4 pm - 7pm Concert at Commons Beach occurs. Guests are welcome to bring picnics, blankets, and low-back chairs for a perfect lakeside evening. Local food and drink vendors sell beer, wine, soft drinks, ice-cream, sushi, barbecue, salads, and more. Wednesday night's free summer movie nights occur on the beach at dark beginning late June.
