Cozy/Cute Tiny House close to wineries, wedding venues & outdoor fun
Tom Dooley’s Hideout is located at the Gateway to the hill country, just minutes west of Dripping Springs off of hwy 290. It’s a unique 4 acre property with 5 modern tiny houses that sit on open range with free grazing livestock which occasionally show up as they do not belong to us. This tiny house comfortably sleeps 2 on a queen bed but we do have a sofa/futon that's great for kids. Enjoy sitting on the porch or at the picnic table under the trees to kick back and relax on a cool evening. We do allow pet guests but want to note that there is a $40 fee PER pet PER night so please be sure and include them on your reservation.

Bed was clean and comfortable. Location was conveniently 10 minutes away from family. Very basic kitchenette. We only planned to eat breakfast in the cabin so it worked well for what we needed.
Such a cool place honestly. The mini house seems pretty new.Trevor was a great host, and responded very quickly to any messages. The mini house has a front yard and is set up with a group of other mini houses. There is also a BBQ pit and game area.
Location was great, pretty secluded but close enough. Easy drive to Pedernales State Park. And downtown Dripping Springs. Perfect size and amenities for a couple. Will definitely check availability for our next trip to Dripping Springs/Pedernales Falls.
This was a fantastic find! Perfect getaway for two. The property was lovely, the house was homey and modern, and the location was perfect for visiting downtown dripping springs (7minutes), Wimberley (22 minutes), and San Marcos for a float (45 minutes). Lots of things to do right in dripping springs whether you want outdoor adventure or relaxing (shopping, wineries, great food). We would absolutely book again!
Everything was great but the best part was cows coming through and us getting to feed them. Two bulls, a cow and her baby stopped in for a snack. Awesome!
The stay was great and exactly what was advertised. It was nice and relaxing. The only hiccups I experienced were the small blanket in the living room had not been washed. It smelled like a pet and was full of hair. Also, the air conditioner spit out a lot of black buildup up on me while I was asleep. Other than those two things, it perfectly met my needs.

Loved the property, except a little too close to the street which was pretty busy and loud. Very convenient to the wedding we were attending. Traffic and construction on main road in Dripping Springs was horrible.

The host never responded to questions beforehand or during. Had a dangerous issue at the other cabin, called, no answer. Messaged him, still no answer. Besides that (which was a lot) the place was as expected and close to the venue.

Fine but a couple bad points
The interior is fine but the bathroom does not have a window. The bedroom does not have a door so you’re exposed to the living area. The Louis is right off the highway so you can hear every single vehicle pass at night and clank against rails in the ground. The shared fire pit and common areas and all grounds are covered in large cow patties and manure, but no cows in sight. Bedroom windows don’t all have blinds or shades so it’s bright. Right near the highway with no gate, it’s not very secure - a full length window right into the bedroom only blocking you from the highway. But the cow poop everywhere was a bit much.
