Hidden Chicken Remodeled, charming, pet friendly

On the west side of Port Angeles, this fresh 2 bedroom/1 bath cottage has been remodeled. New furnishings and decor, it is a wonderful home base for experiencing all the Northwest has to offer.  It is a mere 20 minute drive to the Salt Creek Rec Area for wide sandy beaches, picnics, kayaying and tidepooling.  Also 30 minutes from Lake Crescent for waterfall trails and lake kayaking.

Inside, relax in the warm and inviting living area with new, comfy furniture, streaming TV entertainment, and free Wifi. Enjoy making meals in the beautiful, well equipped kitchen, complete with pots and pans, range, oven, microwave and fridge. The two bedrooms have one queen and one with a full. The hall bath has a tub/shower combo with all towels provided. Washer and dryer. The back yard is fully fenced, good sized lawn, large pear tree, plus a new gas grill and seating.

*This is a pet friendly property; please inquire with weight, breed and training of your dog for consideration. Additional pet fee of $100 per booking will be requested at the time of booking. 2 dogs max. Our Pet policy will be required to be signed at the time of check in.

Great retreat for quick trips, small families or guests looking for a place to call "home" for a bit longer stay.

Only 35 minutes from Olympic National Park, where you can drive up to Hurricane Ridge for spectacular views and an easy hike at the top.

5 Minutes from Ediz Hook, which passes several turnouts and picnic areas, with broad views of Port Angeles and the Olympic Mountains

Family Trip to Olympic National park

We had a great time touring Olympic National park. Port Angeles was the perfect base and we enjoyed our stay at the Hidden Chicken. Nice and updated home was lovely.

Nice but not dog friendly

The house was nice but expensive for one couple and two small for two. Only about 7-10 days before our arrival did we receive a contract to sign about all the things our dog could not do or else.

Lovely stay

Clean, comfortable, quiet peaceful neighborhood. Felt safe. Plenty of towels and daily supplies. We found the “Hidden Chicken”and enjoyed watching the neighborhood bunnies. Loved our time there!

The property was very well equipped, clean and comfortable with some stunning views. Ideally located within walking distance of centre of Port Angeles and near a bus route for anyone who does not have a car.

Great home

We enjoyed staying in this home. It was well appointed with all the items needed for a great stay. The beds in both rooms were very comfortable. Close to grocery stores, the ferry, and Salt Creek where we met friends. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location and property

We enjoyed our stay at the Hidden Chicken! The property was exactly as described and in a great location— close to downtown Port Angeles near all the restaurants and shops and a great starting point to visiting all the areas within and around Olympic National Park. We loved the fenced in backyard for our dog. We’d definitely stay here again in the future!

Cozy Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was nicely updated and contained everything we needed for our stay. Despite being on a heavily traveled road, the neighborhood was very quiet at night. Restaurants and coffee shops are close by as is a grocery store.

Perfect spot for travels around Olympic

Very cute house! Great big windows in the common areas to let in plenty of light and from which to see the water out front at the mountains out back. While everything is a drive for Olympic, this place provided a perfect spot to serve as our home base. Our favorite “amenity” was the adorable family of wild bunnies in the back yard. They provided plenty of entertainment.
